Story:

In a quiet temple, Xiao Lian staring at a drawing which contained the world of flowers. Due to the over focus, Xiao Lian's spirit has unconsciously went into the drawing and he met MuDan, one of the flower angel in the drawing. The Queen of the angel is a strict person who dislike man, to avoid Xiao Lian get into trouble, MuDan beg ChuiZhu to bring Xiao Lian to hide but herself was caught by The Queen and put into the dungeon for disobeying the rules.

Xiao Lian flash out from the drawing, but he worried about MuDan and brought along his servant Hou Xia & a bandit Long Tan back into the drawing to save MuDan. They met ShaoYao who is The Queen's assistant and Xiao Lian falls for her beautiful look while Hou Xia has his feeling for another angel YunMei. The Queen found out the 3 man's appearance, not only she did not kills them but offer them to marry her angel in order to get new born baby and plan to kill them off if a baby girl is born. Long Tan greedily marry YunMei as wife but divorce her on the second day. After that Long Tan chose DingXiang as his wife again and also seduce another 3 angels to be his woman. 

To stay at the world and avoid The Queen, ShaoYao & Owl's suspicious, Xiao Lian chose ChuiZhu to marry while Hou Xia marry with YunMei. ChuiZhu freaked out but after knowing Xiao Lian is tricking The Queen, she agreed on this fake marriage and helps to look for MuDan. On an event, ShaoYao told them MuDan has yet to die, other angels force her to bring them to MuDan. By saving MuDan, ShaoYao sacrificed herself to be put into the dungeon. They plan to leave this place, but MuDan realize Xiao Lian actually falls for ShaoYao but not her. MuDan went to ask forgiveness from The Queen and hope to get ShaoYao return in peace. The Queen is angry with the angels and plan to kill both ShaoYao & MuDan; but Owl fought back with her and sacrifice himself to get ShaoYao & MuDan back to safety. All angels forms up to fight against The Queen but The Queen great power has killed all of the angels & the 3 men who are here.

BuDong monk came into the drawing and told The Queen not to be so evil. He also told her that he has never forgotten The Queen. Melted by the words of her old lover, The Queen returns everyone's life and agreed to leave the place with BuDong. The Queen has passed her authority to ShaoYao and let her lead the angels. Not able to accept Xiao Lian, ShaoYao let him go in sadness. Xiao Lian sudden flash back and realized himself is in the quiet temple again staring at the drawing while nothing has ever happened...

L² Comment: 

This is one of the story from 聊齋 Liao Zhai which I think has never been filmed before. This movie has once hit the number one place in China's blockbuster in 2011. The whole movie is not bad but not sure how much changes it has been make comparing to the original fiction. However, the storyline seems ok just a few part which is kinda bored. Luckily the whole movie is still ok and I won't feel sickening compare to The Monkey King which I just watched.

Story:

The second movie of the painted skin definitely has more graphic than the first one. But overall i don't really like the storyline. I feel like some part is so so extra... Beside Zhou Xun, the rest did not show me what is a good actors/actresses should be...

Story:

Yen is a monster hunter, but he fall in love with Qian who is a fox evil. Due to the differences, he has to make Qian forgot about him but stabbing his power weapon into Qian's head. Yen rushed to join Lei's team to defeat Granny. But without Yen's weapon, the team is unable to defeat Granny. Lei sacrifice one of his hand to sealed Granny at Lan Ruo temple.

Few years later, Ning was send by government to help Hei San Village to get water source. Ning brought a few man up and discovered the source in Lan Ruo Temple. In the meantime, Ning saved a little fox on his journey and fed her with sugar. The man was attacked by evil and luckily Ning managed to save by Yen who arrived to kill the devils. Qian was there and pull Ning away while Ning mistaken that Yen is a bad guy.

Ning went back to Lan Ruo Temple again and managed to explode the well and released the water source into Hei San village. But the water has caused everyone to have disease, to get rid of the disease, Granny has to be killed. Lei was back with his sister and managed to captured Qian and try to vanished her while Lei tied up Yen aside to see her getting tortured. Ning was in time to help them all.

All of them went to Lan Ruo temple to vanish Granny. But the powerful granny suck Qian inside her body and make Yen not willing to fight against. Yen out of idea and pull out his power weapon from Qian's head and in the same time managed to pull Qian out from Granny's body. Qian now remember all her past including her love with Yen. Granny now managed to suck Yen inside her body but in the end Yen used his weapon to killed himself and vanish Granny in the same time.

Granny died cause the whole temple to collapsed, Qian decided to stay here with Yen's body to vanish. She pushed the beloved Ning out from temple and he was safe at last.

L² Comment:

My favorite chinese ghost story is back for more sequel :) Though Liu Yi Fei is not as good as Joey Wong, Yu Shao Qun is not as good as Leslie Cheung, but this movie did pulled out the good memory of mine when watching the old 3 sequels.

This time they have more computer & graphic effect on the movie, but the characters did not bring out the devilish feeling inside. Though Kara look devily, but not as good as Liu Zhao Ming in the past~ Louis Koo definitely bring out the character of Yen in this movie, bravo !!!

Story:

Continues from the 1st series of A Chinese Ghost Story, the legendary Yen has sealed the Thousand Year Tree Devil, known as the Granny in a well. After one hundred year, Granny free herself and continue to suck "Qi" from young man to upgrade her level of devilness.

This time, Granny has Zok and Butterfly to work for her. As usual, Zok and Butterfly will use their beautiness to have sex with the young man, while doing so, Granny will come and suck their Qi off. Fang and his master Cloud were delivering a gold buddha statue to a city. The master sense the Granny and try to capture her.

While Cloud fighting with Granny, Zok came and seduce Fang to have sex with her. But Fang is a good monk, he will not let go on the seduce. Zok falls for Fang because of his seriousness, she then beg for Fang to bring her away. Yen is a young ghost buster who love the legendary Yen who appeared 100 years ago. He was willing to help Zok to escape from Granny. But Zok's bones were burried near Granny's tree, they have to dig it up and bring it away.

Just when they thought they have save Zok, Cloud was caught by Granny instead. The gang have to turn back to save the old master. Zok pretend to betray Fang and Yen to win back the heart of Granny. But Granny force her to marry the mountain devil. When Cloud was saved, the team try to get away but was blocked by Butterfly. Zok has to fight with her best friend, but Butterfly was killed by Granny in the end.

Finally, Fang found the lost gold buddha statue and use it to defeat Granny. Once again, Granny was defeated for sure and vanished into ashes. The end has came, Fang brought Zok's bones with him to continue his journey.

What should i say? This movie is better than the 2nd one for sure. But i really cant let go off Leslie Cheung in this movie. Its so different with Tony Leung in this :( And Qian hasn't been appear in the 2nd and 3rd movie. Kinda dissapointing...

Story:

The story continues from the first episode after Ning lost Qian in his life. Ning went around the city but was caught to put in jail. Inside the jail, Ning has make friend with a senior who is well known of his intelligent mind. The senior assists Ning to escape from the jail.

Ning found a girl who looks like Qian, but whom she's not. This girl is Wind who is the daugther of Revenge and elder sister for Moon. Revenge was caught by Zuo to send to the emperor and the two sisters are doing their best to save their father. Ning gave them advise and help them to save Revenge.

In the meanwhile, Ye is a ghost buster who capture spirits by earning money. He met up with a big monster and with the help of Ning, both of them manage to defeat the big monster. While when they thought they are save, Tze the scary Centipede monster has killed all the government and try to handle the whole China by himself. Unable to defeat the Tze, Ning ask the gang to find Yen who is able to help them. Unfortunately Zuo was killed by the centipede.

But after all the hardwork, they managed to defeat Tze and put him back to hell.

This series is not based on the novel instead but edited by the movie team. I find it a bit un-acceptable. Don't ask me why, but i jst cant tell. I still prefer Liu Zhao Ming to act as the Granny instead of Revenge :P

Story:

Ning is a poor student who helps others to collect debts as his school fees, he went into a city which is near to the Orchard Temple. This Orchard Temple was believe to be haunted. Ning was forced to stay at there because he didn't have any money left.

Ning met Yen, a ghost killer who warn him to get far away from the temple, but Ning refused to. At night, Ning was attracted by some music which were played by a beautiful woman, Qian. Qian is a ghost whom work for the Granny. Granny is a tree devil who has been harming the human beings for more than 1000 year. Granny order Qian to grab man for her so that she can took their 'Qi' away.

Qian decided not to harm Ning because of his good heart, later on both of them fall in love with each other. Qian wanted to run away from Granny, but her bones were burried under the tree which happened to be Granny. With the help of Yen, both Ning and Yen dig out Qian and try to run away. Granny discovered and came out to fight with them, but Yen managed to sealed up the sole of Granny for 100 years.

Later on the Mountain Devil grab Qian and forced her to married him, but Yen and Ning came for the rescue. Finally Qian have to go and left Ning by himself.

L² Comment:

I think this is quite a good movie although there's a bit changes from the novel. The tree devil should be a lady but it has become a drag queen in this movie, lolz~ and summore, the style which she sucks "Qi" with her long tongue is different also. Overall, its nice :) Love leslie cheung at that time, cute... and Joey is sexy~
