 Story:

The world constitutes of five elements: gold, wood, water, fire and earth. In the wizard world of Magic to Win, the story also revolves around the "Five Element Wizardry", portraying a story that surpasses our imagination. Hong Sum-Kwai, a university professor, is also the wizard of water of "Five Elements Wizardry". Although he uses magic spells in his daily life, his superpower remains a secret. By accident, his power is transmitted to his student, Macy, and finds herself entangled in the power struggle of the 5 elements.

L² Comment:

When they film this movie, it stated clearly that this will be the 6th movie of the "Happy Ghost" series, but it is so different from the original 5 movies, Raymond Wong is no more the happy ghost, then what point stating this as the "Happy Ghost" series?

Back to the storyline, it is a bit childish and very predictable. The only excellent part is when Wu Jing fought with Wu Chun, the rest is just so so...

Story:

Ying rescued Gui from being kill and Gui become his apprentice together with Long. Ying was also crowned as the best actor in the chinese opera. But Ying face a challenged from Tian, Ying loss and forced to leave the chinese opera. 20 years later, Long and Gui has learned enough and went to Shanghai to defeat Tian.

Tian is still the best actor in the chinese opera and decided to marry his apprentice Lan. Long and Gui challenge Tian and Tian loss on the stage in front of the audience. Tian cannot accept the humiliation and suicide on the stage. Long and Gui become the best actor in Shanghai and they live in a fancy world. Long even get to tackle Mrs Feng who is the wife of a gangster.

Gui decided to left the chinese opera team and make his revenge, he has assassinate 3 sons of his rival and left one who he didn't found. Once when Long is having affair with Mrs Feng, he was almost caught but Lan safe him. By killing the 4th son, Long save Gui from getting into trouble and found out he was the son of the 4th dead guy. Gui came to fight with Long and defeated Long by breaking his leg. Gui fall in love with Lan and have sex with her after a fight. But actually all this is plan by Lan to take revenge for Tian. Gui fell into the trap and was poison to be mute.

Lan left, Gui found Long and both of them decided to go back to Beijing and start their life again.

L² Comment:

To be honest, the storyline is kinda so so. But the martial arts and the fighting scene is great. Yuan Biao just appeared in a few scene but its enough to show off his great martial arts to us :) Comparing Wuchun and Hankyung, Wuchun seems to be a bit sissy when comes to action. No offense, but Hankyung can move better than him and seems to be more manly than this pretty boy Wuchun.

Overall the movie is still ok, the costume and action is good. As for Barbie, she's not bad too in this movie, but she definitely needs more hard work in acting if she wanted to win some awards in this field.

14 Blades 錦衣衛

Story:

Qing Long belongs to the Jin Yi Wei which is a secret guard in the Dynasty Ming. In the period which the lead eunuchs Jing Zhong tried to control the dynasty for Prince Qing to take over the emperor's place. Jing Zhong get Xuan Wu to be at his side and try to dissolve the Jin Yi Wei from protecting the emperor. Xuan Wu betrayed his gang and killed Zhu Que and Bai Hu. Jing Zhong even try to kill the Imperial Councilor Zhao Shen Yang.

Qing Long managed to escape himself and get himself covered in the Eagles Gang which lead by Qiao Yong. Qiao Yong received the premium and promised to send Qing Long out from danger in the pretending of Qiao Hua's marriage. In the journey, Prince Qing's god-daughter Tuo Tuo appeared and attack. The judge of sands appear and help to protect Qing Long but was killed by Tuo Tuo.

Qiao Hua has falled for Qing Long and try to be with him. But Qing Long wanna take revenge for his Jin Yi Wei fellow and get away to find Xuan Wu. In another hand, Xuan Wu betrayed Jing Zhong and straight ahead work under Prince Qing. Qing Long appeared and defeat Xuan Wu. Qing Long send Qiao Hua away and stay to fight against Tuo Tuo.

Tuo Tuo is an experienced killer and managed to beat Qing Long like hell. But in the end, Qing Long sacrificed himself and killed Tuo Tuo with himself. In final, Qiao Hua spends her whole life as the lead of Eagles Gang.

L² Comment:

The movie is not bad, story line is kinda strong and the actors and actresses are good. Donnie and Wu Chun is definitely hot but Qi Yu Wu the singaporean actor doesn't really have the chance to shine. Kate Tsui definitely over shine Vicki Zhao with her boodylicious :)
