Alien

Released Year: 1979
Directed by Ridley Scott

Casted by:
 Sigourney Weaver as Ripley
Veronica Cartwright as Lambert
Ian Holm as Ash
John Hurt as Kane
Yaphet Kotto as Parker
Tom Skerritt as Dallas
Harry Dean Stanton as Brett
 Story:
The commercial towing spacecraft Nostromo, owned and operated by the Earth mega-corporation Weyland-Yutani, is on a return trip to Earth hauling a refinery and twenty million tons of mineral ore, with a seven-member crew in stasis. Detecting a transmission of unknown origin from a nearby planetoid, LV-426, the ship's computer, MU-TH-UR 6000 (or Mother) awakens the crew.

Acting on standing orders from their corporate employers, they set out to investigate the transmission's source, in effort to locate the possible alien life. The Nostromo lands on the planetoid. Upon landing, their ship is damaged. With the damage taking at least 25 hours to repair, Captain Dallas, Executive Officer Kane, and Navigator Lambert set out to investigate the transmission, leaving Warrant Officer Ellen Ripley to decipher the mysterious signal, Science Officer Ash to track the three explorers, and Engineers Brett and Parker behind on the ship to finish the repairs.

Dallas, Kane, and Lambert discover that the signal is coming from a derelict alien spacecraft. Inside they find the remains of a large alien creature whose ribcage appears to have been broken outward from the inside. Meanwhile, Ripley determines that the transmission is actually some type of warning rather than a distress signal. Kane discovers a vast chamber containing numerous eggs, and upon closer inspection, one of them releases a squidlike creature that attaches to his face. Rendered unconscious, Kane is carried back to the Nostromo. As acting senior officer aboard the ship, Ripley refuses to let the exploratory team aboard, citing the strict quarantine regulations. But acting on improper orders from Dallas, Ash violates quarantine protocol not to allow a possible infected crew member on the ship by opening the airlock. After an unsuccessful attempt by Ash to surgically remove the creature from Kane's face, which appears to be glued onto him, the crew discover that the creature's blood contains a highly corrosive acid. Seemingly, it is also feeding Kane 'oxygen' down his throat, which Ash states may be keeping him alive. The creature eventually detaches from Kane's face by itself and is later found dead. Ash insists that the alien corpse be returned to Earth for study. The Nostromo leaves the planetoid and resumes its trip to Earth.

Kane awakens from his ordeal with some memory loss, but no other apparent ill effects. During the crew's final dinner before re-entering stasis, he begins to choke and convulse in extreme pain until a small alien creature bursts from his chest, killing him instantly. The creature then escapes into the depths of ship. Kane's body is 'buried at sea' by ejection into deep space. Since killing it with conventional weapons could result in its acidic blood breaching the ship's hull, the crew attempts to locate and capture the creature by fashioning motion trackers, electric prods, and flamethrowers. However, the Alien has grown at an unprecedented rate and is now seven feet tall with incredible strength and agility. It attacks Brett and disappears with his body into an airshaft. Dallas enters the Nostromo's labyrinthine airshaft network, intending to force the Alien into an airlock, but it ambushes him. When the others find no trace of Dallas, Lambert realises that the alien is purely aggressive and intent on killing the entire crew, imploring the remaining crew members to escape in the ship's shuttle. Ripley, now in command, explains that the shuttle will not support four people, and recommends that they continue with Dallas's plan of cornering and flushing out the Alien.

Accessing the ship's central computer, Ripley discovers that Ash has been ordered to return the Alien to Weyland-Yutani even at the expense of the crew's lives. Ash then appears and when confronted, he attempts to suffocate Ripley, but Parker and Lambert intervene, decapitating and impaling Ash, revealing him to be an android programmed to act on orders from the company itself. Ripley theorizes that the company wants the Alien for its weapons division. Before they destroy his remains, Ash smugly predicts that the others will not survive the indestructible "perfect organism" that they are up against.

The three remaining crew members then agree to arm the Nostromo's self-destruct mechanism and escape in the shuttle. While gathering the required stasis coolant, Parker and Lambert are ambushed and killed by the Alien. Now alone, Ripley initiates the self-destruct sequence herself and heads for the shuttle with the crew's cat, but finds the Alien blocking her way. She retreats and unsuccessfully attempts to abort the self-destruct, then returns to find the Alien gone and narrowly escapes in the shuttle as the Nostromo and its enormous cargo is destroyed in a massive explosion.

As she prepares to enter stasis, Ripley discovers that the Alien has hidden aboard the shuttle. She puts on a spacesuit and opens the shuttle's main door, causing explosive decompression which forces the Alien into the shuttle's open doorway. She propels it out into space by shooting it with a grappling hook, but the gun catches in the closing door, tethering the Alien to the shuttle. As it attempts to crawl into one of the engines, Ripley activates them, blasting the Alien with white-hot plasma and sending it tumbling into deep space. She then records a final ship's log entry, places herself and the cat into stasis and resumes the voyage back home.

The legendary Alien movie is not to be missed by anyone who is fancy about this movie franchise, am i right? The movie story is kinda simple and predictable, but at the 1979, its huge and definitely win the applause from everywhere. It also helps to build Sigourney Weaver's courier ~

Tourist Trap 1979

 Released Year: 1979
Directed by David Schmoeller

Casted by:
Chuck Connors as Mr. Slausen
 Jocelyn Jones as Molly
 Jon Van Ness as Jerry
 Robin Sherwood as Eileen
 Story:
Eileen and her boyfriend Woody are driving through the desert. When their car gets a flat Woody goes to find a gas station. Their friends Becky, Jerry and Molly are traveling separately in a different vehicle. They reach Eileen waiting at the car and they all drive off to collect Woody.

Woody has found a gas station but it appears deserted. He enters the back room but becomes trapped. Various mannequins appear in the room, and multiple objects fly at him until a metal pipe impales and kills him.

The others find a tourist trap and conclude Woody is there. As they drive in, their vehicle mysteriously breaks down. Jerry tries to fix his jeep and the girls go skinny dipping in a nearby oasis. As they swim, Slausen appears holding a shotgun. Though outwardly polite he also seems embittered by the decline of his tourist trap since the highway was moved away. The nude girls feel awkward in the water as he chats and they apologise for tresspassing.

Slausen offers to help Jerry with the jeep, but insists the group go to his house with him to get his tools. There, they see the tourist trap: animated wax works type figures including armed bandits. Eileen is curious about a nearby house, but Slausen insists the women stay inside the museum. Slausen takes Jerry to fix the jeep leaving the women. Eileen leaves to find a phone in the other house. There she finds several mannequins inside the house. Someone calls her name, and a stranger wearing a grotesque mask suddenly appears behind her. Various items in the room move of their own accord and the scarf Eileen is wearing tightens and strangles her.

Slausen returns to Molly and Becky saying that Jerry drove his truck into town. When told that Eileen left, he goes to the house and finds Eileen has been turned into a mannequin. He returns and tells Molly and Becky he did not find Eileen and will leave again to continue the search. Frustrated the women also later leave to search for her. Becky enters the nearby house and finds a mannequin resembling Eileen. Becky is attacked by the masked killer and then by multiple mannequins. She later wakes up tied up in the basement along with Jerry. Jerry says the killer is Slausen's brother. Also held captive is Tina (Dawn Jeffory), who is strapped to a table. She is killed when the masked man covers her face with plaster, causing her to suffocate. Jerry frees himself and attacks the killer, but is soon overpowered. Jerry tries to reach for a key but the killer telekinetically moves it from his reach.

Molly, still outside searching for the others, is pursued by the masked man. She meets Slausen who drives her to the museum and gives her a gun while he goes inside. The masked man appears and Molly shoots, but the gun is loaded with blanks. The man removes the mask: it is Slausen. She panics and tries to elude Slausen but is soon captured and restrained to a bed.

Becky and Jerry escape from the basement but, get separated. Slausen appears and takes Becky to the museum. There the Old West figures begin shooting at her, and she is killed by an Indian Chief figure who throws a knife at her, stabbing her in the back of the neck. Back at the house, Jerry arrives to rescue Molly, but he is revealed to have unknowingly been turned into a mannequin. Slausen dances with the figure of his wife, and Molly sees that the wife has become animated. Traumatised, she kills Slausen with an axe.

The film then ends where it takes place the next morning, and a grinning Molly is seen driving away in the jeep with the mannequin versions of her friends.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Released Year: 1979
Directed by Robert Wise

Casted by:
William Shatner as James T. Kirk
Stephen Collins as Willard Decker
Leonard Nimoy as Spock
Persis Khambatta as Ilia
Story:
A Starfleet monitoring station detects an alien force, hidden in a massive cloud of energy, moving through space towards Earth. The cloud destroys three Klingon warships and the monitoring station en route. On Earth, the starship Enterprise is undergoing a major refit; its former commander, James T. Kirk, has been promoted to Admiral and works in San Francisco as Chief of Starfleet Operations. Starfleet dispatches Enterprise to investigate the cloud entity as the ship is the only one in intercept range, requiring its new systems to be tested in transit.

Kirk takes command of the ship citing his experience, angering Captain Willard Decker, who had been overseeing the refit as its new commanding officer. Testing of Enterprise's new systems goes poorly; two officers, including the science officer, are killed by a malfunctioning transporter, and improperly calibrated engines almost destroy the ship. The tension between Kirk and Decker increases when the admiral demonstrates his unfamiliarity with Enterprise. Spock arrives as replacement science officer, explaining that while on his home world undergoing a ritual to purge all emotion, he felt a consciousness that he believes emanates from the cloud.

The Enterprise intercepts the energy cloud and is attacked by an alien vessel within. A probe appears on the bridge, attacks Spock and abducts the navigator, Ilia. She is replaced by a robotic doppelgänger, a probe sent by "V'Ger" to study the crew. Decker is distraught over the loss of Ilia, with whom he had a romantic history. He becomes troubled as he attempts to extract information from the doppelgänger, which has Ilia's memories and feelings buried within. Spock takes a spacewalk to the alien vessel's surface and attempts a telepathic mind meld with it. In doing so, he learns that the vessel is V'Ger itself, a living machine.

At the heart of the massive ship, V'Ger is revealed to be Voyager 6, a 20th-century Earth space probe believed lost. The damaged probe was found by an alien race of living machines that interpreted its programming as instructions to learn all that can be learned, and return that information to its creator. The machines upgraded the probe to fulfill its mission, and on its journey the probe gathered so much knowledge that it achieved consciousness. Spock realizes that V'Ger lacks the ability to give itself a focus other than its original mission; having learned what it could on its journey home, it finds its existence empty and without purpose. Before transmitting all its information, V'Ger insists that the Creator come in person to finish the sequence.

Realizing that the machine wants to merge with its creator, Decker offers himself to V'Ger; he merges with the Ilia probe and V'Ger, creating a new form of life that disappears into another dimension. With Earth saved, Kirk directs Enterprise out to space for future missions

I really don't know how to comment this, but seriously, i never been a fans of Star Trek series until i watch the 2009 movie. Thought it was quite good then so i decided to dig out all these old movies for a watch. But yawn, it was not easy to watch the whole movie without feeling bored.

Well, the graphic is good back at that time coz its 1979 anyway. But beside that, the pace is slow and their expression is kinda stiff :P lol~

Caligula

Released Year: 1979
Directed by Tinto Brass

Casted by:
Malcolm McDowell as Caligula
Teresa Ann Savoy as Drusilla
Helen Mirren as Caesonia
John Gielgud as Nerva
Peter O'Toole as Tiberius
Guido Mannari as Macro
John Steiner as Longinus
Story:
Caligula, the young heir to the throne of the syphilis-ridden, half-mad Emperor Tiberius , thinks he has received a bad omen after a blackbird flies into his room early one morning. Shortly afterward, Macro, the head of the Praetorian Guards, appears to tell the young man that his great uncle (Tiberius) demands that he report at once to the Island of Capri, where he has been residing for a number of years with close friend Nerva, Claudius, a dim-witted relative, and Caligula's younger stepbrother, Gemellus, Tiberius' favorite. Fearing assassination, Caligula is afraid to leave, but his beloved sister Drusilla convinces him to go.

At Capri, Caligula finds his uncle has become depraved, showing signs of advanced venereal diseases, and embittered with Rome and politics. Tiberius enjoys watching degrading sexual shows, often including children and various freaks of nature. Caligula observes with a mixture of fascination and horror. Tensions rise when Tiberius jokingly tries to poison Caligula in front of Gemellus. After Nerva commits suicide on the prospect of Caligula's rule, Tiberius collapses from a stroke, leaving Macro and Caligula planning a way to hasten the latter's ascent to the throne.

Late one night, Macro escorts all the spectators out of Tiberius' bedchamber to allow Caligula the opportunity to murder his uncle, but when he fails, Macro finishes the deed himself by strangling Tiberius with a scarf. Caligula triumphantly removes the imperial signet from Tiberius' finger and suddenly realizes that Gemellus has witnessed the murder. Tiberius is buried with honours and Caligula is proclaimed the new Emperor, who in turn proclaims Drusilla his equal, to the apparent disgust of the senate. Afterwards, Drusilla, fearful of Macro's influence, convinces Caligula to get rid of him. Caligula obliges by setting up a mock trial, in which Gemellus is intimidated into testifying that Macro alone murdered Tiberius. With the powerful Macro gone, Caligula appoints Tiberius's former adviser Longinus as his right-hand man, and pronounces the docile Senator Chaerea as the new head of the Praetorian Guard. Drusilla endeavours to find Caligula a wife amongst the priestesses of the goddess Isis, the mystery cult they secretly practice. Caligula only wants to marry Drusilla, but when she refuses because she is actually his sister, he spitefully marries Caesonia, a known courtesan, but only after she bears him an heir.

Caligula proves to be a popular, yet eccentric ruler, cutting taxes and overturning all the oppressive laws that Tiberius enacted. The senate begins to dislike the young emperor for his eccentricities and various insults directed towards them. Darker aspects of his personality begin to emerge as well; he rapes a bride and groom on their wedding day because of a minor fit of jealousy and orders the execution of Gemellus merely to provoke a reaction from Drusilla.

After he discovers Caesonia is pregnant, Caligula suffers severe fever, but Drusilla nurses him back to health. Right after he fully recovers, Caesonia bears Caligula a daughter, Julia Drusilla, and Caligula marries her on the spot. During the celebration, Drusilla collapses in Caligula's arms from the same fever he'd suffered. Soon afterwards, Caligula receives another ill omen in the guise of a black bird. He rushes to Drusilla's side and watches her die. Caligula experiences a nervous breakdown, he smashes a statue of Isis and drags Drusilla's body around the palace while screaming hysterically. Now in a deep depression, Caligula walks the Roman streets, disguised as a beggar. After a brief stay in a city jail, Caligula becomes determined to destroy the senatorial class, which he has come to loathe. His reign becomes a series of humiliations against the foundations of Rome; senators' wives are forced to work in the service of the state as prostitutes, estates are confiscated, the old religion is desecrated, and he initiates an absurd war on Britain to humiliate the army. It is obvious to the senators and the military that Caligula must be assassinated, and Longinus conspires with Chaerea to carry out the deed.

Caligula wanders into his bedroom where a nervous Caesonia awaits him. The blackbird makes a final appearance, but only Caesonia is frightened of it. The next morning, after rehearsing an Egyptian play, Caligula and his family are attacked as they leave the stadium in a coup headed by Chaerea. His wife and daughter are brutally murdered and Chaerea himself stabs Caligula in the stomach, to which he defiantly whimpers "I live!"

As Caligula and his family's bodies are thrown down the marble steps and their blood is washed off the marble floor, Claudius is proclaimed the new Emperor.

A Penthouse production with a several version after changing for a few times. It has a lot of sex scene which can satisfy a slut like you~ lol. Though Caligula's period is famous of his control of the sexual activities in Rome, but how true is it the film has shown? Is it a bit too much? Lol~
