Directed by Kenneth Branagh

Casted by:
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Idris Elba as Heimdall
Colm Feore as Laufey
Story:
In 970 A.D., Odin, king of Asgard, wages war against the Frost Giants of Jotunheim and their leader Laufey, to prevent them conquering the Nine Realms, starting with Earth. The Asgardian warriors defeat the Frost Giant's and seize the source of their power, the Casket of Ancient Winters. In the present, Odin's son Thor prepares to ascend to the throne of Asgard as King but is interrupted when the Frost Giants attempt to retrieve the Casket. Against Odin's order, Thor travels to Jotunheim to confront Laufey, accompanied by his brother Loki, childhood friend Sif and the Warriors Three: Volstagg, Fandral and Hogun. A battle ensues which forces Odin to intervene and save their lives, destroying the fragile truce between the two races. For his arrogance, Odin strips Thor of his godly power and exiles him to Earth, accompanied by his hammer - and source of his power - Mjolnir, now protected by a spell to allow only the worthy to wield it.

Thor arrives in New Mexico and is found by scientist Jane Foster, her assistant Darcy Lewis and mentor Dr. Erik Selvig while Mjolnir is discovered by agent Phil Coulson and confiscated by S.H.I.E.L.D. Coulson forcibly acquires Jane's data about the wormhole that delivered Thor to Earth. Thor, having discovered the location of Mjolnir, attacks the S.H.I.E.L.D facility to retrieve it, only to find himself unable to lift it, and is captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. He is eventually freed and resigns himself to exile on Earth as he develops a romance with Jane.

Meanwhile, Loki discovers that he is Laufey's son and was adopted by Odin after the war ended. When Odin, overcome with stress, falls into the Odinsleep, Loki usurps the throne and offers Laufey the chance to kill Odin as well as retrieve the Casket. Sif and the Warriors Three, unhappy with Loki's rule, attempt to discover a way to end Thor's exile, convincing Heimdall, gatekeeper of the Bifrost Bridge - the means of travelling between worlds - to allow them passage to Earth. Aware of their plan, Loki sends the Destroyer, a seemingly-invincible, metallic and sentient suit of armor, to pursue them and kill Thor. Sif and the Warriors Three find Thor but are attacked and defeated by the Destroyer, forcing Thor to sacrifice himself to save them and Jane. In doing so, he proves worthy to wield Mjolnir, and the hammer returns to him, restoring his powers and allowing him to defeat the Destroyer before he prepares to return to Asgard and confront Loki.

In Asgard, Loki betrays and kills Laufey, revealing his true plan to use their attempt on Odin's life as an excuse to destroy Jotunheim with the Bifrost Bridge and prove himself worthy to Odin. Thor arrives and fights his brother before destroying the Bifrost Bridge to stop his plan, stranding himself in Asgard. Odin awakens and prevents the brothers from falling into the abyss created in the wake of the Bifrost Bridge's destruction, but Loki, believing he has failed Odin, allows himself to fall to his apparent death. Thor makes amends with Odin, admitting he is not ready to be King, while on Earth Jane and her team search for a way to open a portal to Asgard so that Jane can reunite with Thor.

L² Comment:
Not really a fans of this comic and not familiar with it at all, its all because of Chris Hemsworth, he's sure a hot dude. Love the graphic in this movie, especially the part when Thor use his hammer to fight with the frost giant.

A brand new combination of Portman & Hopkins is really excited, but they did not interact with each other at all in this movie, what a waste...

L² Comment:
My favorite chinese ghost story is back for more sequel :) Though Liu Yi Fei is not as good as Joey Wong, Yu Shao Qun is not as good as Leslie Cheung, but this movie did pulled out the good memory of mine when watching the old 3 sequels.

This time they have more computer & graphic effect on the movie, but the characters did not bring out the devilish feeling inside. Though Kara look devily, but not as good as Liu Zhao Ming in the past~ Louis Koo definitely bring out the character of Yen in this movie, bravo !!!

On Ped's wedding night on Valentine's day, Ped's close friend Mei li or Li has drunk too much wine and fallen asleep in Ped's room. Waking in the early hours, she drives back to her home, but has an car accident on the way. As a result, she meets Loong. He helps Mei Li check her car engine and offers to return her car's wing mirror, but Li demurs and says that he can keep it. When Li arrives home in the morning, her parents and grandmother scold her and her father forbids her from driving, so Li has to go to work by public transport.

One night, Li wakes up in the middle of night and go to the roof of her house. She accidentally catches her maid and her boyfriend also on the roof. Her maid's boyfriend calls his 'elder' (responsible adult), who turns out to be Loong. After that, Li meets Loong again at a BTS Skytrain station. This time Li accidentally breaks Loong's sunglasses. Li consults with her neighbour, Plern. Plern helps her by suggesting Li writes her mobile phone number on something and give it to Loong. Li buys a replacement pair of sunglasses and writes her number on box, and arranges to 'bump into' Loong to give him the new sunglasses. After waiting for Loong to call, Li consults with Plern again, and go to a Video Rental shop that Loong visits regularly. Plern uses a trick to get Loong's mobile number, but later goes to work at the same video store instead of giving Loong's number to Li. As revenge, Li uses Plern's mobile to send messages to Plern's 3 boyfriends, inviting them all to the store at the same time. This causes an argument, and when Loong comes in to the shop, he accidentally drops his laptop.

Feeling responsible, Li take Loong's laptop to Ped's husband, but he can't fix it. Li goes to return it at the BTS office. Since Loong is away from his office, she leaves a message with security, but she falls asleep. When Loong finishes work, he finds Li, and they share the BTS to get to their respective homes. As Loong's laptop was so damaged, and the laptop bag was so old, he decides to throw it away. Li picks the bag up out of the bin, and takes it home. There are many things inside including film negatives. Li has the nagtives printed, and finds Loong's pictures with Kob Kavita (Taksaorn Paksukjareon), an actress in "Saint's Tear", a popular television series that plays a supporting role in the film. However the pictures are posted on internet and published in newspapers, as the photo printing shop owner posted them on Hi5 as they were of a famous actress.

Li meets Loong again on a skytrain while he is sleeping. Li tell him the truth that the pictures might have been published because of her, but Loong doesn't mind. Loong tells her that Kob is his ex-girlfriend and they broke up because their time schedules didn't match. When the skytrain arrives at Ekkamai Station, Li suggest to Loong that they watch the stars at the Bangkok Planetarium and see an exhibition about Mcbright comet which will pass close to the earth. Li asks Loong to watch the comet with her in Bangkok when it passes. Later, before the Songkran holidays, Loong asks Li to come celebrate by throwing water. Li, who has already agreed with her family to visit China during the holiday, makes an excuse when she gets to the airport that she forgot her passport, and so can't go with her family to China.

During the Songkran festival, Plern joins them. Li doesn't enjoy the festivities because of her. Li knows Loong's address, which is a guesthouse next to Chao Phraya River. Li changes her clothes and go to see Loong, and finds him asleep. Li falls asleep next to him. After she wakes up, Loong asks her to travel around Bangkok. Loong also asks Li to come to family day at the BTS, as he can take her into the depot. Loong takes pictures, but Li damages the camera.

On the family day visit, Li finds out that Loong is leaving in 2 days time to spend 2 years studying in Germany. Next day, Li goes to Loong's house and finds that his stuff has been packed. Both walk to talk on Taksin Bridge Li say goodbye to Loong at the bridge by saying that she want to be acquaintances only, echoing the breakup between Loong and Kob. Next day, Loong goes to Germany in the morning, but sends Li a box. Inside the box is the wing mirror from when they first met, the damaged sunglasses, Bangkok Planetarium tickets, and the damaged camera, with the memory card still inside. Li opens the memory card and looks at the pictures. Li rushes to Suvarnabhumi Airport to try and stop Loong, but it is too late - his flight left at 8am, and she arrives at 10am. On that day, the Mcbright comet orbits to the earth. Loong watches the comet on board his plane, while Li watches it as well.

2 years later, Li is working a night shift as a stock analyst. While going to work one evening, Li accidentally meets Loong on a BTS Skytrain. Loong has changed to work the day shift and has been back in Thailand for a few months. Both get off the Skytrain at Siam station, which is the interchange station between the Sukhumvit Line and the Silom Line. Li goes downstairs to change to a different line and doesn't turn back to look at Loong. Li gets on her train, but the electricity goes out. Passengers call their friends or family to say the train has stopped. Li's phone rings with an unknown number, and when she answers it, it is Loong. He asks Li to again celebrate Songkran. Li replied that she is free for the holidays. When electricity comes back on, Loong is on the same Skytrain, standing next to Li. He tells Li that she has his number now, and to record it.

L² Comment:
I love this multiple awards winner movie a lot~ It had been nominated and won with a flying color in multiple awards at Thailand. And after waiting for more than 1 year plus, finally its on Malaysia's cinema. It was quite enjoyable moment to watch with Bubu, we have good laugh ahead.

The whole story is simple but yet it was so attractive. Both male & female leads are not the perfect good looking, but the way they act and the way the love grow between them and the bond close is the best part of the movie. It makes you feel like you're one of them and you want to be like them.

As all means, GOOD~

Caligula

Released Year: 1979
Directed by Tinto Brass

Casted by:
Malcolm McDowell as Caligula
Teresa Ann Savoy as Drusilla
Helen Mirren as Caesonia
John Gielgud as Nerva
Peter O'Toole as Tiberius
Guido Mannari as Macro
John Steiner as Longinus
Story:
Caligula, the young heir to the throne of the syphilis-ridden, half-mad Emperor Tiberius , thinks he has received a bad omen after a blackbird flies into his room early one morning. Shortly afterward, Macro, the head of the Praetorian Guards, appears to tell the young man that his great uncle (Tiberius) demands that he report at once to the Island of Capri, where he has been residing for a number of years with close friend Nerva, Claudius, a dim-witted relative, and Caligula's younger stepbrother, Gemellus, Tiberius' favorite. Fearing assassination, Caligula is afraid to leave, but his beloved sister Drusilla convinces him to go.

At Capri, Caligula finds his uncle has become depraved, showing signs of advanced venereal diseases, and embittered with Rome and politics. Tiberius enjoys watching degrading sexual shows, often including children and various freaks of nature. Caligula observes with a mixture of fascination and horror. Tensions rise when Tiberius jokingly tries to poison Caligula in front of Gemellus. After Nerva commits suicide on the prospect of Caligula's rule, Tiberius collapses from a stroke, leaving Macro and Caligula planning a way to hasten the latter's ascent to the throne.

Late one night, Macro escorts all the spectators out of Tiberius' bedchamber to allow Caligula the opportunity to murder his uncle, but when he fails, Macro finishes the deed himself by strangling Tiberius with a scarf. Caligula triumphantly removes the imperial signet from Tiberius' finger and suddenly realizes that Gemellus has witnessed the murder. Tiberius is buried with honours and Caligula is proclaimed the new Emperor, who in turn proclaims Drusilla his equal, to the apparent disgust of the senate. Afterwards, Drusilla, fearful of Macro's influence, convinces Caligula to get rid of him. Caligula obliges by setting up a mock trial, in which Gemellus is intimidated into testifying that Macro alone murdered Tiberius. With the powerful Macro gone, Caligula appoints Tiberius's former adviser Longinus as his right-hand man, and pronounces the docile Senator Chaerea as the new head of the Praetorian Guard. Drusilla endeavours to find Caligula a wife amongst the priestesses of the goddess Isis, the mystery cult they secretly practice. Caligula only wants to marry Drusilla, but when she refuses because she is actually his sister, he spitefully marries Caesonia, a known courtesan, but only after she bears him an heir.

Caligula proves to be a popular, yet eccentric ruler, cutting taxes and overturning all the oppressive laws that Tiberius enacted. The senate begins to dislike the young emperor for his eccentricities and various insults directed towards them. Darker aspects of his personality begin to emerge as well; he rapes a bride and groom on their wedding day because of a minor fit of jealousy and orders the execution of Gemellus merely to provoke a reaction from Drusilla.

After he discovers Caesonia is pregnant, Caligula suffers severe fever, but Drusilla nurses him back to health. Right after he fully recovers, Caesonia bears Caligula a daughter, Julia Drusilla, and Caligula marries her on the spot. During the celebration, Drusilla collapses in Caligula's arms from the same fever he'd suffered. Soon afterwards, Caligula receives another ill omen in the guise of a black bird. He rushes to Drusilla's side and watches her die. Caligula experiences a nervous breakdown, he smashes a statue of Isis and drags Drusilla's body around the palace while screaming hysterically. Now in a deep depression, Caligula walks the Roman streets, disguised as a beggar. After a brief stay in a city jail, Caligula becomes determined to destroy the senatorial class, which he has come to loathe. His reign becomes a series of humiliations against the foundations of Rome; senators' wives are forced to work in the service of the state as prostitutes, estates are confiscated, the old religion is desecrated, and he initiates an absurd war on Britain to humiliate the army. It is obvious to the senators and the military that Caligula must be assassinated, and Longinus conspires with Chaerea to carry out the deed.

Caligula wanders into his bedroom where a nervous Caesonia awaits him. The blackbird makes a final appearance, but only Caesonia is frightened of it. The next morning, after rehearsing an Egyptian play, Caligula and his family are attacked as they leave the stadium in a coup headed by Chaerea. His wife and daughter are brutally murdered and Chaerea himself stabs Caligula in the stomach, to which he defiantly whimpers "I live!"

As Caligula and his family's bodies are thrown down the marble steps and their blood is washed off the marble floor, Claudius is proclaimed the new Emperor.

L² Comment:
A Penthouse production with a several version after changing for a few times. It has a lot of sex scene which can satisfy a slut like you~ lol. Though Caligula's period is famous of his control of the sexual activities in Rome, but how true is it the film has shown? Is it a bit too much? Lol~

My Mother - Ma Mere

Released Year: 2004
Directed by Christophe Honore

Casted by:
Louis Garrel as Pierre
Isabelle Hupert as Helene
Emma de Caunes as Hansi
Joana Preiss as Rea
Jean-Baptise Montagut as Loulou
Story:
The story revolves around pious, young Pierre who has just left a Catholic boarding school to live with his wealthy parents at their villa on the island of Gran Canaria. Pierre's father dies early in the movie, leaving his mother, Hélène to care for him. Pierre soon learns, however, of the depraved nature of his parents.

While in a restaurant, his mother reveals to him that she has been unfaithful to her husband many times with his knowledge and feels no shame about it. She then insists that her son accept her promiscuous ways. Soon after this, Pierre finds a closet full of his father's pornography. His reaction is to furiously masturbate and then to urinate on the magazine pages. However, there are several far more shocking surprises in store for Pierre.

Hélène encourages her uninhibited sex buddy, Réa to take her son's virginity. She does so but in public and on a concrete floor at Gran Canaria's Yumbo Centrum, a popular shopping and nightlife complex. Hélène looks on longingly as the partially clothed couple copulates with passersby raising no objections. Afterward, Hélène includes her son in an orgy with her friends, including Hansi, a sweet-faced young woman who later becomes Pierre's girlfriend. After the orgy, Hélène decides that she must leave her son to travel. While saying goodbye to Pierre, she implies that something taboo has happened between them and that she must leave to prevent it from happening again.

Upon Hélène's departure, Hansi enters Pierre's life as a friend. She admits befriending Pierre at Hélène's encouragement but denies receiving a fee from her. Their friendship blossoms into a tender romance and they both fall in love. During their relationship, Hansi reveals that she has participated in sado-masochistic sex many times as a dominatrix with her friend Loulou as the willing masochist. She adds Hélène arranged these encounters as sexual exhibitions for tourists.

After an extended absence from the movie, Hélène returns home with Réa in tow because Hélène has finally tired of her sexual adventures. Upon arriving, she finds her son and Hansi socializing at a bar near the villa. Hélène and Pierre greet each other by chatting and gazing into each other's eyes like lovers while Hansi looks on jealously. Finally, Hélène invites her son to sleep with her. He agrees.

The "sex" scene between mother and son is an unconventional cinematic montage of facial expressions, bare skin, groans, stroking, self injuring and vocalized thoughts but very little sex. The characters are illuminated first only by dim lighting and then later by flash light beams. It begins with Hélène lying on the tile floor of their villa with a shirtless Pierre kneeling beside her. She has opened her dress but is still wearing panties and a bra. The pitch black of night surrounds them.

"Wrong is not what we’re about to do. Wrong is wanting to survive it," Hélène thinks in a moment of foreshadowing.

"You’re my mother and my love," Pierre insists as he gazes lovingly at her.

Inexplicably, Hélène’s first act is to slowly cut the lower, right side of her abdomen with a small knife. Hélène then guides her son’s left hand to the wound. He gently massages it, smearing blood on her abdomen. Hélène then takes her son’s right hand and gently bites it while groaning lightly. The scene then suddenly changes. Although it’s not obvious at first, mother and son are now sitting up on the floor. Pierre is leaning against his mother with his back to her face. Their state of undress has not changed. Hélène reaches around her son’s waist and undoes his pants and zipper. Pierre then begins to masturbate. While Pierre masturbates, Hélène raises the knife to her throat which flashes just for a moment on camera and then vanishes in the dark. We hear a faint slicing sound and Hélène seems to gasp in pain as her head slumps forward. Pierre, apparently unaware, continues masturbating. The scene abruptly ends here.

It’s not clear whether the couple ever had oral, vaginal or anal sex in this scene. Despite this, it later becomes obvious that Hélène has committed suicide in apparent guilt over her relationship with her son.

Paramedics remove Hélène's body from the villa and place it in an ambulance. Réa enters the ambulance but Pierre does not. He runs futilely after it as it drives away. Next we see a mortuary employee cleaning Hélène's body to make it presentable for viewing. In the final scene, Pierre enters a room of the mortuary containing his mother's body in a glass case. He cries as he looks at her then slumps to the floor, his back against the wall, and begins masturbating. Observing this, an employee enters and tries to lift Pierre off the floor. Pierre then rushes toward his mother and screams "Mom, I don't want to die!" The background music for this scene is Happy Together by The Turtles.
L² Scored: 8/10

L² Comment:
The reason i score such a high score for this is Louis Garrel is damn hot. I never saw such a pretty boy like this, so good looking and so charming. But european film is always so sad and weird, after watching it, it really turn my mood bad, seriously.

Lucas Grabeel as Ryan Evans
Corbin Bleu as Chad Danforth
Monique Coleman as Taylor McKessie
Robert Curtis Brown as Vance Evans
Jessica Tuck as Darby Evans
Olesya Rulin as Kelsi Nielsen
Story:
The school year ends with everyone at East High School looking forward to summer vacation ("What Time Is It"). Troy Bolton is still dating Gabriella Montez, who decides to stay in Albuquerque with her mother. Troy eventually decides to look for a summer job to gain money for college.

Sharpay and Ryan Evans plan to spend part of the summer at their family's country club, Lava Springs ("Fabulous"), but Sharpay's summer plans also include pursuing Troy, whom she has arranged to be hired at the club. However, Troy convinces the club's manager, Mr. Fulton, into hiring Gabriella and their close group of friends as well; including Taylor and Chad. Sharpay is enraged upon learning that Gabriella is working as one of the lifeguards but is unable to get her fired so she orders Fulton to give them difficult tasks so they would be best to quit. Fulton attempts to intimidate the group but Troy rebuilds their confidence and convinces them that they can persevere ("Work This Out").

Troy continues to worry about funding for college. Sharpay senses his need and arranges for Troy to be promoted, hoping that this will convince him to sing with her at the talent show. Meanwhile, Kelsi writes a ballad for Troy and Gabriella. Troy agrees to sing with his friends in the show ("You Are The Music In Me"), not knowing that Sharpay is vying for his attention. (In the extended version, Sharpay and Ryan trap Troy as he prepares for a date with Gabriella, and perform their potential show stopper ("Humuhumunukunukuapua'a").)

Ryan realizes he does not mean much to Sharpay anymore, as she is ready to blow her brother aside for the opportunity to perform with Troy. This leads to tension between the twin siblings and Ryan angrily informs Sharpay that he will no longer obey her orders. Taylor and Gabriella invite Ryan to the baseball game, where he persuades the Wildcats to take part in the talent show ("I Don't Dance").

Troy and Gabriella's relationship is strained when Troy sees Ryan with Gabriella, sparking jealousy. Owing to a "promise" from Troy, he and Sharpay practice their song for the Midsummer Night's Talent Show ("You Are The Music In Me (Sharpay Version)"). When Sharpay discovers that Ryan and the Wildcats are putting together their own performance in the show, she orders Mr. Fulton to ban all junior staff members from performing. Gabriella angrily confronts Sharpay about her interference and quits her job at Lava Springs. Troy overhears the exchange, and tries to persuade Gabriella to change her mind. Gabriella expresses her loss of trust with Troy ("Gotta Go My Own Way") and leaves Lava Springs.

Troy returns to work the next day to find that his friends refuse to talk to him. Kelsi silently shows Troy the notice from Mr. Fulton, causing Troy to question his own motivations ("Bet On It"). He begins to reconcile with Chad and his other friends. Then Troy confronts Sharpay, informing her that he will not sing with her. The Wildcats and Chad forgive Troy for his absence and convince him to sing in the talent show, which he does only under the condition that they are all allowed to perform as well.

At Sharpay's supposed instruction, Ryan gives Troy a new song to learn moments before the show. As Troy goes onstage, he asks Sharpay why she switched the song, and Sharpay is shocked to find that her brother tricked her. Troy sings the song ("Everyday") alone, until Gabriella surprisingly joins him onstage. In the end, Sharpay proudly presents her brother, Ryan, with the award for the talent show. After the talent show, all the Wildcats go to the golf course to enjoy the fireworks.
L² Scored: 7.5/10

L² Comment:
This is a summer version which the students work in a club for their summer jobs, they are tanned which i think its not suitable for zac efron. This time, Lucas, Corbin and Monique sings more than the 1st movie which i think its a good thing coz they really got nice vocal. And i realize Grabeel is kinda cute but he's a bit sissy.

This film has went Venice film festival, New York film festival and Taipei Golden Horse film festival and managed to get a lot of applause. Ms Winslet, famous of her big tits fails no one by showing off her juicy big breast in the movie again.

But the movie was banned in India due to the negative issue of Hindu believes were shown in the movie. Think most of the Indian are pissed off on this.
