Released Year: 2016
Directed by Dennis Gansel

Casted by:
 Jason Statham as Arthur Bishop
Jessica Alba as Gina Thorne
Tommy Lee Jones as Max Adams
杨紫琼 Michelle Yeoh as Mae
Sam Hazeldine as Riah Crain
 Story:
After faking his death, Arthur Bishop has been living quietly in Rio de Janeiro with the name Santos. He is approached by a woman who states that her employer wishes for Bishop to kill three targets and stage them as accidents. Bishop takes a picture of her and fights off her mercenaries before escaping. Bishop goes to Thailand and takes shelter at the beach house of his friend, Mae. He investigates the woman and learns that her employer is a man named Riah Crain.

An attractive young woman named Gina Thorne arrives at the shore and, when she asks Mae for some first aid items, Mae notices a split lip and bruising on her arm that suggest she is being treated badly. That evening, Mae notices the young woman being attacked in her boat and convinces Bishop to go out to help. He boards the boat, but his attempts to warn off the man go unheeded and in the ensuing altercation the man falls, hits his head on a piece of the boat's equipment and is killed. Mae arrives, to take Gina to shore, and Bishop quickly explores the ship for clues before setting fire to it to cover his tracks. Bishop learns that the young lady is called Gina, and is working for Crain and confronts her, who reveals that she was working in a children shelter in Cambodia and Crain threatened those children and forced her to arrive at Bishop’s location. Bishop deduces that Crain’s plan was to make him fall for her before she is kidnapped and thus Bishop will be forced to accept the mission. Later, Bishop notices Crain’s operatives watching him and gets intimate with Thorne. He reveals to her that he and Crain were sold to a gangster when they were orphan children. They were trained as warriors until Bishop escaped. Bishop and Thorne end up having sex before they are both abducted the next morning. Bishop is brought to Crain, who gives the identities of the three targets.

The first target of Bishop is a warlord named Krill, who is incarcerated in a Malaysian prison. Bishop travels to Malaysia and gets himself imprisoned to access Krill. Bishop gains Krill’s trust by killing a man already planning on killing Krill. Bishop meets with Krill inside his little hut, where the former kills the latter and escapes the prison with the help of Crain's operatives.

Bishop is informed that he only has 36 hours to kill the next target, Adrian Cook, who runs an underage trafficking ring in Sydney, Australia. Cook goes for a swim in his glass pool outside his high-rise apartment. Bishop breaks the glass, causing the water to spill out with Cook plummeting to his death. Once again, Bishop makes a clean getaway.

Bishop finds the boat Thorne is held and attempts to save her, but fails. He is informed that he has 24 hours to kill the last target, Max Adams, who is an arms dealer in Bulgaria. Adams and Bishop decide to work together against Crain. Bishop fakes Adams’ death and tells Crain that the job is done. They arrange a meeting; but Crain is revealed to be planning to have Bishop killed.

Bishop kills Crain’s men before heading toward Crain's boat, where he engages more mercenaries before getting to Crain. He finds Thorne, and they discover that Crain has the boat rigged to explode. Bishop puts her in a chamber to let her escape and engages Crain. The former runs away moments before the boat explodes, killing Crain. Thorne is told that there have been no survivors.

Thorne returns to Cambodia to continue her work. She is surprised when Bishop shows up. The last scene shows Adams reviewing security footage, which shows Bishop escaping in another chamber. Adams deletes the video to fake Bishop's death once more.

On the same day I watch "Train to Busan", I decided to continue my movie journey with Mechanic: Resurrection. All these while I'm not really a big fans for Jason Statham, but the thriller attracted me especially the scene where he killed one of the guy in swimming pool.

I did not watch "The Mechanic" which happens to be the first movie before this back in 2011, I never know this film is so cool and the storyline was not bad as well~ No doubt Statham & Alba still hot as before, but they don't really look match together for me. And how much did they paid Michelle Yeoh in this movie? I think Michelle Yeoh is quite costly but her character can simply be replaced by any Asian woman, right? Her character didn't seems to be "important" at all~

 Story:
"The Customer Is Always Right (Part I)"

The Salesman walks onto a penthouse balcony where The Customer looks out over Basin City. He offers her a cigarette and says that she looks like someone who is tired of running and that he will save her. The two share a kiss and he shoots her; she dies in his arms. He says he’ll never know what she was running from but that he’ll cash her check in the morning.

"That Yellow Bastard (Part I)"

On the docks of Sin City, aging police officer John Hartigan tries to stop serial child-killer Roark Junior from raping and killing his fourth known victim, eleven-year-old Nancy Callahan. Junior is the son of Senator Roark, who has bribed the police to cover up his son's crimes. Hartigan's corrupt partner, Bob tries to convince Hartigan to walk away. Hartigan knocks him out.

Hartigan heads into the warehouse where Roark Junior is holding Nancy, fighting off the pain caused by his bad heart, as well as several henchmen. Junior shoots Hartigan in the shoulder and tries to escape. Hartigan catches up and shoots off Junior's ear, hand, and genitals. Bob, now recovered, shoots Hartigan in the back. As police backup approaches, Bob leaves and Nancy lies down in Hartigan's lap. Hartigan passes out, reasoning his death is a fair trade for the girl's life.

"The Hard Goodbye"

After a one-night stand, Marv awakens to find Goldie has been killed while he slept. He flees the frame-up as the police arrive, vowing to avenge her death. His parole officer, Lucille, warns him to give up on his mission, believing Marv may have imagined it all due to his "condition." Marv interrogates several informants, working up to a corrupt priest, who reveals that the Roark family was behind the murder. Marv kills the priest after he insults Goldie but is then attacked by a woman who looks like Goldie, which he dismisses as an hallucination.

Marv goes to the Roark family farm and is subdued by the silent stalker who killed Goldie. He awakens in the basement to find Lucille has been captured after looking into his story. She tells Marv that the killer is a cannibal and that Goldie was a prostitute. He learns that the killer's name is Kevin and escapes with Lucille. Lucille is gunned down by the leader of an arriving squad of corrupt cops, who are then killed by Marv, except for the leader, who he interrogates first. Marv finds out that Cardinal Patrick Henry Roark arranged for Goldie's murder.

Marv goes to Old Town, Sin City's prostitute-run red-light district, to learn more about Goldie and is captured by her twin sister, Wendy, who had been stalking him. He eventually convinces her that he is not the killer. She and Marv return to the farm where Marv kills Kevin. He confronts Cardinal Roark, who confesses his part in the murders. Kevin was the cardinal's ward; the two men ate the prostitutes to 'consume their souls'. Marv kills the cardinal but is then shot and captured by his police guards.

Marv is taken to a hospital where cops threaten to kill his mother to get him to confess to killing Roark, Kevin, and their victims. He is sentenced to death in the electric chair. Wendy visits him on death row and thanks him for avenging her sister. Marv is then executed.

"The Big Fat Kill"

Shellie is being harassed by her abusive ex-boyfriend Jackie Boy. Her current boyfriend, Dwight violently warns him to leave Shellie alone. Jackie Boy and his men flee to Old Town. Dwight follows and sees them harass Becky, a young prostitute. Gail, the prostitutes' leader and Dwight's on-and-off lover, also witnesses the scene. When Jackie Boy threatens Becky with a gun, Miho, a martial arts expert, kills Jackie Boy and his friends. They then realize Jackie Boy is actually Detective Lieutenant Jonathan "Iron Jack" Rafferty of the Basin City police, considered a "hero cop" by the press. If the cops were to learn how he died, their truce with the prostitutes would end and the mob would be free to wage war on Old Town.

Dwight takes the bodies to a tar pit, where he is attacked by an ex-IRA mercenary hired by mob boss Wallenquist. He nearly drowns in the tar before Miho saves him. The mercenary runs away in the sewer with Jackie Boy's severed head but Dwight and Miho are able to retrieve it and return to Old Town. Meanwhile, the head mercenary, Manute, kidnaps Gail. Becky has made a deal with the mob and has betrayed the prostitutes. The mob is moving to invade with Manute leading. Dwight trades Jackie Boy’s head in exchange for Gail, but activates an explosive he placed inside the head, destroying it before it can be taken to the cops for evidence. The other prostitutes gun down the mercenaries while an injured Becky escapes.

"That Yellow Bastard (Part II)"

Hartigan is recovering in a hospital when Senator Roark informs him that Junior is in a coma and the Roark legacy is in serious jeopardy. Hartigan will be framed for Junior's crimes; if he tells anyone the truth, they will die. A grateful Nancy promises to write letters every week while he is in prison. Hartigan goes to jail, though he refuses to confess. He receives a weekly letter from Nancy, as promised. After eight years, the letters stop and he receives a severed finger instead. Hartigan confesses to all charges leading to his parole and searches for an adult Nancy, not knowing he is being followed by a deformed, yellow man. He eventually finds her at Kadie's Bar, where she has become an exotic dancer.

He realizes he was set up to lead the yellow man to Nancy and the two escape in Nancy's car. Hiding at a hotel, the deformed man returns, revealing himself as Junior Roark, disfigured by years of surgery to regenerate his body parts. Junior attacks Hartigan and takes Nancy to the Roark farm to finish what he started eight years before. Hartigan follows and fakes a heart attack, giving him a chance to kill Junior. Knowing that Senator Roark will never stop hunting them, Hartigan commits suicide to ensure Nancy's safety. Again, he justifies his life for Nancy's as a fair trade.

"The Customer Is Always Right (Part II)"

An injured Becky departs from a hospital, talking on a cell phone with her mother. In the elevator she encounters The Salesman, dressed as a doctor. He offers her a cigarette, calling her by name, and she abruptly ends the call with her mother.

Into The Blue

 Released Year: 2005
Directed by John Stockwell

Casted by:
Paul Walker as Jared
Jessica Alba as Sam
Scott Caan as Bryce
Ashley Scott as Amanda
Tyson Beckford as Primo
 Story:
Jared  and Sam  are two lovers, living a rustic life in in the Bahamas.

When Jared loses his job and friend Bryce  comes for a visit, the opportunity to realize his dream arrives. Bryce, a lawyer from New York City, and his girlfriend of the week Amanda, acquired the use of a luxury vacation house and boat. Both couples take a boat trip and do some snorkeling. As they investigate the area, they come across the remains of a crashed plane containing a large quantity of cocaine. They decide not to report the crashed plane and its cargo until they have secured their claim on the sunken ship.

Jared and Bryce go to a local boat supplier. However, Jared soon finds out that Bryce, on a trip to Las Vegas, borrowed money from a loan shark. Without Jared's knowledge, Bryce and Amanda plan to retrieve some of the cocaine and sell it to local dealer/night club owner, Primo. Primo turns out to be an associate of drug lord Reyes to whom the cocaine belongs. Reyes threatens Jared, Amanda and Bryce at gunpoint.

Jared is forced to retrieve the cocaine with equipment provided by Reyes. The trio breaks the bad news to Sam. He tries to convince her that it's a one-time thing, but Sam leaves him, saying that 'they' are over. Jared, Bryce, and Amanda head to sea that night after securing the gear. Before retrieving the cocaine, they decide to take advantage of the situation to uncover the site of the Zephyr. With the blower equipment, Jared is finally able to confirm the ship's identity.

Amanda is attacked by a tiger shark. She dies later in hospital. Hearing of the tragedy, Sam goes to the hospital and she and Jared are reunited. While driving back from the hospital, the threesome are confronted by Primo. A short, but intense car chase ends up with Jared leaving their truck. He surrenders to Primo and tries to get them to back off. Primo still takes him to Reyes' boat. The boat looks deserted, so Primo tells Jared to lie down on the floor of the state room. After some time, Jared goes to explore. He finds Primo, Reyes and several others shot dead in one the bedrooms. Out from the toilet emerges Bates (Josh Brolin), a local salvager and former employer of Jared's. Jared bolts from the boat and heads for shore.

Meanwhile, Sam insists on informing the police, and Bryce drops her off at her friend's home, a local cop named Roy. He takes off to meet Jared without waiting for Sam. Roy comforts Sam and tells her he knows a guy who can help. Roy betrays Sam and takes her to Bates, who captures her.

Jared and Bryce meet up and Jared calls the captive Sam, who is handcuffed and gagged with duct tape. Bates answers her cell phone and tells Jared he will let her go immediately if Jared discloses the location of the cocaine to him. Jared refuses and insists that they meet to settle the situation once and for all.

Jared is taken aboard Bates' boat and shown the scene. The Sea Robin heads for the location where Jared directs them, but as they approach the area, they see a white substance floating on the surface. Jared tells Bates that it's half of the cocaine, ruined, and that he is about to destroy the rest. Jared jumps into the water with his hands still tied behind his back. Bates and his men change into scuba gear to go after him. Below the surface, in the plane, the divers look for Jared, who is assumed to be able to breathe to stay alive as there is trapped air in the plane. Bryce has switched places with one of the dead pilots and mount a surprise attack. An underwater struggle follows, killing all of Bates' men and wounding Bryce.

Sam frees herself with a forgotten machete, which brings one of Bates' men down into the engine room, where she locks him in. She then goes up to the bridge to call for help. The man escapes from the engine room; a chase around the boat ends in a struggle and they fall into the water. The man, wounded by Sam with a boat hook, is attacked by a tiger shark. Below, Jared and Bates are the only ones left. Jared uses an air tank as a missile by hammering off the valve. It misses Bates, but hits the fuel tank at the back of the plane, causing the entire plane to explode, killing Bates and destroying the rest of the cocaine. Sam jumps into the water, fearing for Jared's life.

This segues into a scene six weeks later, where the trio are shown to have survived and are salvaging the Zephyr. An attempt to bring a cannon up fails when the rope snaps and it sinks to the bottom. It’s a blessing in disguise as the cannon's hard landing exposes hidden gold bars. Sam and Jared are about to call it a night, but Bryce sees something in the water, and dives in on a hunch. As the scene of the boat pulls back, we hear Bryce shout that he has found the gold of Zephyr, bestowing untold wealth on the three friends.

Teri Polo as Pamela Focker
Owen Wilson as Kevin Rawley

Jessica Alba as Andi Garcia
Dustin Hoffman as Bernard "Bernie" Focker

Greg and his wife Pam, daughter of retired CIA agent Jack, have five-year-old twins, Henry and Samantha. Jack begins to experience significant health issues and appoints Greg to the new head of the family, the "Godfocker".

However, he starts to have doubts about his decision, because he thinks Greg has an affair with Andi Garcia, a sexy pharmaceutical-company representative with whom he sells the erectile dysfunction drug Sustengo. This is not true, the impression is due to coincidences and drunkenness of Andi. Jack even suggests to Pam that it might be better to divorce Greg and resume her relationship with Kevin Rawley, her former fiancé.

Greg and Pam are annoyed by this. In order to prove he can look after the family, Greg tries to get his children into a better school (although he almost blows the chance), build a new house (which has problems in the garden), and get his finances in order. Upon meeting Bob (Debbie's ex-husband), he tells Greg that he has never been happier after getting off "the hamster wheel" and that he was Jack's first choice to lead the family and gave him the name "The Bobfather", which makes him a little upset.

Jack and Greg eventually make up at the twins' birthday party after a fight, in which Jack suffers a heart attack and Greg saves his life. The film ends four months later on Christmas Day when Jack, Dina, Bernie, and Roz come to spend Christmas with Pam and Greg in their new house and Greg's parents tell them that they are moving to Chicago and are going to move two houses down from theirs. To this, Jack and Dina say they will move too, because they also want to be close to their grandchildren, to which Bernie and Roz are delighted about, although both Pam and Greg insist neither move.

During the credits, Jack watches a video of Greg on YouTube.

Morley changes her mind and leaves Reed later in the day. Alphonso tells Reed he and Julia knew it would never work out between him and Morley, and Reed wishes they had told him. On an airplane to Los Angeles, Kate Hazeltine, a captain in the U.S. Army on a one-day leave, befriends newly single Holden Bristow. Kate and Holden chat, play a backgammon, and tell jokes. When the plane lands, and Kate has to wait hours for the taxi, Holden offers his limousine, which Kate accepts, as she only has one day to spend with her family before she has to come back into the army.

Julia, an elementary school teacher has fallen in love with Dr. Harrison Copeland, but does not know that he is married to his wife Pamela. Reed finds out when Harrison orders flowers for his wife and girlfriend (Julia). Harrison tells her that he needs to go to San Francisco for a business trip. Wanting to surprise him and following Reed's advice from earlier on in the day, Julia buys a plane ticket to San Francisco. Reed quickly comes to the airport and warns Julia, and she refuses to believe it and gets on the plane. She goes to the hospital where he said he would be, and inquires after him. The nurses at the counter reveal to her that he is married and tell her the name of the restaurant where he and his wife will be dining that evening. As she teaches the owner's son, the owner allows her to dress as a waitress. Julia makes a scene at the restaurant, and gives back the toy Harrison gave her that morning. Harrison's wife, Pamela, becomes suspicious when Julia makes a comment referring to Harrison's ability to juggle, and Harrison is seen eating pizza alone in a condo later on that evening, implying that Pamela has left him right after Julia's scene. One of Julia’s students, Edison, orders flowers from Reed, to be sent to his teacher. There is a delay in the delivery of flowers, but Edison insists that Reed delivers the flowers the same day. They are for Julia; however, she suggests to Edison to give the flowers to a lonely girl in the class who also has a crush on him, which he does.

Edison's babysitter Grace is planning to lose her virginity with her boyfriend Alex. The planned encounter goes awry when Grace's mom discovers a naked Alex in Grace's room rehearsing a song he wrote for Grace on his guitar. Meanwhile Edison’s grandparents, Edgar and Estelle are facing the troubles of a long marriage. Grace explains to them that she wants to have sex with Alex, and says, "It's not like I am going to sleep with one person for the rest of my life." This upsets Estelle and leads to her telling Edgar about an affair she had with one of his business partners. The affair was while he was away, and it didn't last long. Although she is deeply sorry for what she did, Edgar is deeply upset. Grace’s high-school friends, Willy and Felicia , are experiencing the freshness of new love, and have agreed to wait to have sex. On Valentine's Day, Willy gives Felicia a large white bear that she carries around with her everywhere and Felicia gets him a gray running t-shirt (which was his) and ironed the number 13 on the back for "good luck". They are interviewed on the news and advertise their love and support for each other.

Sean Jackson, a closeted gay professional football player, is contemplating the end of his career together with his publicist Kara and his agent Paula. Kara, a close friend of Julia’s, is organizing her annual ‘I Hate Valentine’s Day’ party, but is becoming interested in sports reporter Kelvin Moore who has been sent out by his producer Susan to cover Valentine’s Day because of a lack of sports news, and they share their mutual hatred of Valentine's Day. Paula has hired a new receptionist named Liz who has started dating mailroom clerk Jason. Jason is first shocked when Liz turns out to be moonlighting as a phone sex operator. Liz only does this because she has a student loan to pay off, has no insurance, and is completely broke. Jason decides that her job is too much for him to handle, but eventually comes back to the relationship after seeing Edgar forgive his wife, Estelle.

Sean comes out on national television, and Holden (who is Sean's lover) goes back to him. Kate goes home to greet her son Edison. Willy drops Felicia off at home after a date and they kiss goodnight. Kelvin and Kara hang out at Kelvin's news station where they later kiss, Alphonso dines with his wife, Grace and Alex agree to wait to have sex, Edgar and Estelle retell each other their marriage vows and kiss in the theater, Jason goes back to Liz and they decide to keep a bond together but to also "keep it simple", Morley is shown walking her Border collie while trying to call Reed and the movie closes with Julia and Reed beginning a relationship.

L² Comment:
First of all, its such a waste i did not went to cinema for this movie. Its kinda complicated, the characters flow and connected one and another in this film just like CRASH. But this is more on romance part of course, love Anne Hathaway in her "phone sex" service, i really have a good laugh on it.

Well, Cooper is hot, Foxx is stunning, and 2 young studs Lautner & Jenkins are definitely hot especially Jenkins naked playing guitar. Alba does not appear much so not much comments on her. Garner is good, but i kinda prefer this character to be played by Jennifer Aniston or Jennifer Connelly. Lol, though 3 of them are Jennifer(s), but Garner really didn't give me the feeling in this film.
