 Story:

 In an alternate 2014/2015, bio-medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone is a Mission Specialist on her first space shuttle mission, STS-157, accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, who is commanding his final expedition. During the final spacewalk to service the Hubble Space Telescope, Mission Control in Houston warns the team that debris from a Russian missile strike on a defunct satellite has caused a chain reaction of destruction and that they must abort the mission. Shortly afterward, communications from Mission Control are lost, though Stone and Kowalski continue to transmit in hopes that the ground crew can hear them.

High-speed debris kills engineer Shariff and damages the space shuttle Explorer, sending Stone far away from it. Kowalski, who is wearing a thruster pack, navigates to Stone and retrieves her. Tethered together, the two make their way back to Explorer, where they discover it has been damaged far beyond usability, and the rest of the crew are dead from exposure. They decide to use the thruster pack to make their way to the International Space Station (ISS), which is in orbit only about 100 km (60 mi) away. Kowalski estimates they have 90 minutes before the debris field completes an orbit and threatens them again.

During the route to the ISS, the two discuss Stone's life back home and the death of her young daughter in a schoolyard accident. As they approach the slightly damaged ISS, they see that its crew has evacuated in one of the Soyuz modules and that the other's parachute has been accidentally deployed, making it useless for return to Earth. But Kowalski says that the Soyuz designated TMA-14M can still be used to travel to the nearby Chinese space station Tiangong to retrieve another module that can take them to Earth. Out of air and maneuvering power, the two try to grab onto the ISS as they fly by. At the last moment, Stone's leg becomes entangled in the Soyuz's parachute cords, but Kowalski realizes that his momentum will carry them both away; over Stone's protests, he detaches himself from the tether so that Stone might survive, and the tension in the cords pulls her back towards the ISS. As Kowalski floats away, he radios additional instructions and encouragement to Stone.

Stone enters the ISS via an airlock but must hastily make her way to the Soyuz to escape a fire. Stone realizes the Soyuz's parachute cables are still tangled with the ISS. She spacewalks outside to release the cables, barely succeeding just as the debris field completes its orbit and destroys the station. Stone aligns the Soyuz with Tiangong, but discovers the craft's thrusters have no fuel. Stone resigns herself to being stranded and begins decompression of the cabin to commit suicide by painless hypoxia. As she begins to lose consciousness, Kowalski appears outside, enters the capsule, and tells her to use the Soyuz's landing rockets. Kowalski's appearance is revealed as a hallucination. Newly motivated to live, Stone restores the flow of oxygen and uses the rockets to navigate towards Tiangong.

Unable to dock the Soyuz with the station, Stone ejects herself via explosive decompression and uses a fire extinguisher as a makeshift thruster to travel to Tiangong. She enters the Shenzhou capsule just as Tiangong starts to break up on the upper edge of the atmosphere, having been knocked from orbit by debris. As the capsule descends to Earth, Stone hears Mission Control over the radio tracking the capsule. The capsule lands in a lake, forcing Stone to shed her spacesuit underwater in order to swim to shore. She takes her first shaky steps on land, in the full gravity of Earth.

Can you stand the 90 minutes movie in deep silence most of the time? This is depending on personal preference, but for a movie freak like me, this movie is good :) Love the silence of it, Love Sandra Bullock leading the whole movie and she's definitely good in it~ George Clooney is still attractive even though he does not appear much~

Story:

Michael Oher known as Big Mike is accepted by a college due to his talent in sports. After school one day, Michael meet SJ and both of them quickly become friend though the difference of their age and size. This has attracted SJ's mother, Leigh Anne's attention. During a cold night, the Tuohy family met Michael on his way back to the school's gym for a night spend over. Feeling pity on him, Leigh Anne brought Michael home.

Both Leigh Anne and her husband, Sean agreed to let Michael stay in their house and the family accepted him with open arm. Leigh Anne even brought him out for clothes' shopping and back to the black people area to visit his mother. Michael the quiet boy also been freshened up by all his happy moment with the Tuohy's family.

Michael has joined the school's rugby team, Tuohy has also become legally foster parents for Michael. On one competition, Michael's talents has attracted everybody attention in the field. Plenty of colleges called after this and invited Michael to join their college. To make sure Michael can go to college, Leigh Anne has employed Miss Sue to give tuition to Michael for a 2.5GPA. In the end of finalize, it comes to the selection of Ole Miss College and University of Mississipi. Because of Leigh Anne, Michael chose the Ole Miss which has cause a conflict of interest.

The NCCA called up Michael and questioned his option. Michael confronted Leigh Anne and asked her whether she only took him in so that he would play football for her alma mater which the Tuohy is the main sponsor. Michael then went back to his black people area. They make sexually fun about Leigh Anne and Collins which pissed Michael off. Michael attacked them and went back to Tuohy only realize the love that Tuohy give him is priceless.

In the end, Michael chose Ole Miss. Leaving Michael at school, Leigh Anne feel proud and happy for what she has done for Michael and also what he has done for them all.

I have had enough of everybody keep on telling me how good Bullock is in this film, so i have to watch it once i got the DVD from my fren. After the 2 hours film, hmmm~ what should i say? No doubt Bullock is a good actress, but for me, she's more on the goofy doofy comedy thingy. I dont really find how good she is in the film.

I mean, maybe its time Oscar reward this great actress a gift? ; or is it becoz of the character she's acted in? U know la~ American is going "color" nowadyas, president black, winner black, this black that black... no wonder the "Leigh Anne" character is kinda attracting for helping out the poor black people...

Don't you think so?

The Proposal

Story:

Margaret Tate is a bossy and bitchy boss who is dislike by all her worker including her personal assistant Andrew Paxton. Margaret faced her visa problem and might be deport back to her own country, Canada. Due to the sudden change, she force Andrew to marry her. Andrew agreed on the condition that Margaret will have to promote his as the chief editor of the book publishing company.

During their interview on the migration, they make promise will announce their marriage to Paxton's in Sitka, Alaska. Margaret followed Andrew all the way back and only found out that Paxton has a huge family business in Alaska, but Andrew did not show it at all. They attend a surprise family party arranged by Paxton and Andrew announced their marriage.

On one morning, the family request them to marry on the same week. Paxton's ladies were busying preparing the wedding and Margaret follow Andrew's mother (Grace) and granny (Annie) around to try on her wedding dress and later on she was brought to see a tiger show. In the meanwhile, Andrew is happy to meet his ex girlfriend, Gerthy. Being an orphan, Margaret felt a sudden warm from the Paxton of taking care of her and she even do the happy chant with Annie in the woods.

The immigration officer, Gilbertson called up Andrew's father (Joe) to check out the marriage and discover on this, but Andrew insisted to go on with the marriage. During the wedding, Margaret can't forgive herself of lying to the sweet family, she confessed on the purpose of this marriage and agree to go back to Canada. Only after this, Andrew realize he's actually falled for Margaret and went all his way to the airport to catch up but it was too late.

Margaret went back to office to pack up her personal things and Andrew managed to catch her. He told her about his feeling and was willing to marry her again. In the end, both of them went to immigration and announced their marriage again.

Since , Bullock has been one of my fav actress, she never failed me in this movie as well :) Love her goofiness when presenting this character. Especially the scene when she's chanting with Betty White~ lolz~

Ryan Reynolds is extremely cute and hot~ oh my god, how can someone be so perfect? the scene where Reynolds and Bullock bump together naked, phew~ i wet my pants :P Overall, the storyline is good, a bit predictable but way more better than . A good relax romance movie i should say :)

Story:

In the city of Los Angeles, all these characters life are related to one and another of their life. The story will start with 2 black youngster Anthony and Peter Waters complaining how the restaurant mistreat them because they are black. Just when they saw Rick and Jean, the white couple, the 2 black youngster rob them and took their car away.

Rick is a district attorney who manipulates racial politics in order to further his career. He tried to blackmail Detective Graham Waters so that he will not loss the support from the black community in the coming election. But Rick wife's Jean is super-duper racitst white woman, who does not wanna give herself in this and even scold her Hispanic maid, Maria and a mexican locksmith who came to fix their door.

In another hand, a persian shop owner went to buy a gun with his daughter to protect his shop and family. But due to his selfishness, he refuse to change the door as advice by the mexican locksmith. In the end, the shop was rob and no insurance coverage on his loss.

Tommy and John are 2 policeman who is on duty and found out a black couple is having oral sex on a highway. This black couples is Cameron and Christine. John sexually molests Christine under the pretense of searching for a weapon. Cameron did not do anything but just beg to let them go. Christine was frustrated towards her husband respond as Cameron is a tv cast producer who has been trying so hard to fit into the whiteman society.

Graham Waters is frustrated with his mother of keep on urging him to find his younger brother Peter who ran away from home. He pissed off his latino girlfriend, Ria when he answered on phone during sex. He later went to visit his mum but still not really put his effort to find his brother. In the meanwhile, Tommy cannot stand with John for his behavior and ask to on duty alone. John is happily work with his new partner when he saw an accident. John went for the help and Christine is the victim. The car almost explode and John finally persuade Christine to let him do the rescue and both of them are save.

In another hand, Cameron was rob by Anthony and Peter but he beat Peter off his car and crazily fought with Anthony in his car. Policy came for arrest and Tommy was there. To protect his own black people, Cameron finally dare to stand up and protest for his black society. While Tommy was driving back, he met Peter who is hitch-hiking. He tought Peter wanna rob him and accidentally shot him to death.

The persian owner was not happy that his shop was rob and went looking for the mexican locksmith with the gun he bought. He shot the locksmith but the mexican's daughter rush up and hug her dad. But luckily, the Persian's daughter did not buy the real bullet for him. Persian owner regret on his behavior and went back home. As for Jean, she falled from the stairs and called her best friend to help, but the best friend claim that she's busying doing her nails and is not free. Only the hispanic maid came for help. Finally Jean realised her own racists mind is not correct.

As for Graham, he finally found his brother's dead body. The mother will not forgive him.

One word, wow~ Love the way how the story presented. All the actors and actresses are A class :) Especially Don Cheadle. The whole film mainly talk about the discrimination of races and the change of their thoughts, very nice and real. Kinda heavy though. But i would not miss this nice film. Oscar best film in 2005 which beat down the Brokeback Mountain.
