Story:

Margaret Tate is a bossy and bitchy boss who is dislike by all her worker including her personal assistant Andrew Paxton. Margaret faced her visa problem and might be deport back to her own country, Canada. Due to the sudden change, she force Andrew to marry her. Andrew agreed on the condition that Margaret will have to promote his as the chief editor of the book publishing company.

During their interview on the migration, they make promise will announce their marriage to Paxton's in Sitka, Alaska. Margaret followed Andrew all the way back and only found out that Paxton has a huge family business in Alaska, but Andrew did not show it at all. They attend a surprise family party arranged by Paxton and Andrew announced their marriage.

On one morning, the family request them to marry on the same week. Paxton's ladies were busying preparing the wedding and Margaret follow Andrew's mother (Grace) and granny (Annie) around to try on her wedding dress and later on she was brought to see a tiger show. In the meanwhile, Andrew is happy to meet his ex girlfriend, Gerthy. Being an orphan, Margaret felt a sudden warm from the Paxton of taking care of her and she even do the happy chant with Annie in the woods.

The immigration officer, Gilbertson called up Andrew's father (Joe) to check out the marriage and discover on this, but Andrew insisted to go on with the marriage. During the wedding, Margaret can't forgive herself of lying to the sweet family, she confessed on the purpose of this marriage and agree to go back to Canada. Only after this, Andrew realize he's actually falled for Margaret and went all his way to the airport to catch up but it was too late.

Margaret went back to office to pack up her personal things and Andrew managed to catch her. He told her about his feeling and was willing to marry her again. In the end, both of them went to immigration and announced their marriage again.

Since , Bullock has been one of my fav actress, she never failed me in this movie as well :) Love her goofiness when presenting this character. Especially the scene when she's chanting with Betty White~ lolz~

Ryan Reynolds is extremely cute and hot~ oh my god, how can someone be so perfect? the scene where Reynolds and Bullock bump together naked, phew~ i wet my pants :P Overall, the storyline is good, a bit predictable but way more better than . A good relax romance movie i should say :)

The Bounty Hunter

Story:

Milo Boyd is a bounty hunter who arrest criminal so that he can claims rewards for his work. Nicole Hurley is a reporter who gets her 1st hand secret news from Stewart. As Nicole was on her way to court for her case, she got a call from Stewart and she just skip off her court case to meet up with Stewart. But later on Stewart was kidnap by Sid who wanna murder Nicole for exploring her news. Sid wanna use Stewart as bait to get Nicole.

Due to Nicole's absent, Milo got a job of arresting his ex-wife, who is Nicole for a 5 thousand dollar. Milo went high & low to find Nicole and finally found her in the gambling place. He caught her and trapped her inside the car booth. But on the half way, Nicole release gas smoke and Milo forced to stop the car and check on it. Running out from the booth, Milo finally get caught of Nicole again after some chasing.

They later on found out their car was followed by Sid, and they were escaping on the highway and Sid's car loose control and crash. The couples finally got themselves away and stay at "Cupid Cabin" which they have went during their honeymoon. They have all their sweet memories back, but Nicole was pissed off when Milo mentioned about the money again. During Milo's sleep, Nicole cuffed him at the bed and drove away with car.

Nicole found out where Sid kept Stewart and went for rescue. Of course Sid found out and chase after them. But luckily Milo came and get them out of trouble. On the end, Nicole forgive Milo but Milo still got her to the police station. In the end, they know that promises for love, honor and obey were tough; but staying alive is tougher.

How would i say? The movie did not go smooth and it makes me a bit confuse about the relationship between Nicole & Stewart on the 1st place. The storyline too is a bit confuse and predictable. Should i say boring?

Jennifer still being the pretty Rachel that i love in , but i found that her voice did change a bit, not as cute as she used to be :( Gerard also being hot... Beside watching both of these 2 beautiful creatures acting in this movie, i dont find any reason which will ever make me re-watch this movie.

Sui is an orphan and work in Tai's father shop. Sui & Tai love each other and Tai asked Sui to request for increment. Sui of course, afraid of the fierce father and do not has gut to do it. But Tai's father discover they are together and tried to separate them. Sui was forced to bring Tai away with him.

Both of them rent a small room and get married. Tai wants Sui to work for a better future and they were happy when Sui was invited to an interview. But during the interview, the manager request Sui to submit 2 million dollar for a work deposit. Failing to have the help from Tai's father, Tai decided to work in a pub to earn this money. Sui got the money without knowing where it come from and happily work for the company.

Sui was bullied by other staffs to work more. While leaving late one night, he was stucked in the elevator with the boss' daugther, Anna. Sui helps Anna to escape from the top of the elevator while he himself stay until the elevator function. The next morning, Sui was insults by Anna for not up to the standard. Later on, Anna realise Sui is the guy who help her the previous night and appologize. Both of them become friend.

Sui discover Tai work in a pub and was mad, but later on he know the real purpose of Tai and promised to work hard for their better future. Despite working hard, Sui got promoted by Anna and managed to move to a bigger house with Tai. Sui brought Tai to an expensive restaurant, but Tai saw her client from the pub. To cover up her bad past, she lied and told in front of the client and Anna that Sui is her younger brother.

As days passed, Anna found herself fall in love with Sui and would like to bring him together to Singapore for a new office set-up. Anna told Tai in salon to let Sui choose a better future. Tai decided to let go of Sui and travel to elsewhere. Without Tai besides him, Sui followed Anna and work in Singapore but his heart still keep Tai inside. Until one day, Sui decided to go back to Hong Kong and accidentally bump into Tai at their own house.

Finally the two couple decided to get back together.

L² Comment:

An early movie of Stephen Chow never failed to make me laugh. I was quite impress of this movie as it has been on the top 16 of the most earning movie in 1990 at Hong Kong. Stephen Chow + Sandra Ng = Great film :)

Though on the romance part is not that strong and there was comedy sense inside, but you can feel the hongkies love at that period of time. It was kinda real and the sacrifice for the love one are really really sweet :)

Up In The Air

Story:

Ryan works as a counselor for conducting layoffs for his company. He flies around in the US for this conducting and deliver motivational speeches using the title of "What's in your backpack?" During his travelling, he met another frequent flyer, Alex whom Ryan found very attractive.

Ryan was then called back to the main office in Omaha, Nebraska to meet up with a young coworker, Natalie. Natalie is promoting a cut costs plan by having employees to stay grounded and conducts layoffs over the internet. Ryan disagree with her plan and agree to take Natalie with him on his upcoming layoffs work, so that Natalie can experience the real things.

Ryan was request to bring along his sister and brother-in-law photo to wherever he went and help them to take photo. During the layoff, Natalie found that its not easy to just interpret a layoff plan through the computer screen without handling the staff emotion. She even feel it when her boyfriend send her text through handphone for a breakup. Feeling depress, Natalie followed Ryan and Alex (came to meet Ryan) for party. Ryan started to feel that he wanna become stable and attach with Alex. He even brought her to his sister wedding. Middle of it, the brother-in-law chickened up and Ryan managed to persuade him for the confident in marriage.

One night, Ryan fly all his way to find Alex because he decided to settle down. But in the end, he discovered that Alex is marry with 2 children. Alex claimed that Ryan is just her fly-mate and would not consider him for a stable relationship. Feeling sad and alone, he flew back to office. During his flight, the crew announced that Ryan has got the free million miles for his 10 million miles mark, he thought he would feel happy about it but he does not. Ryan transfer half of the free miles to his sister as a wedding gift instead.

When he reached office, he found out that Natalie has quit her job due to the stress and sad feeling of this layoff job. Ryan wrote her a recommendation letter for her future work. The movie ends with Ryan making a speech of stating how important families are.

L² Comment:

Simple love story movie, talks about a bachelor and his love life. Its kinda enjoying watching this film. Nothing heavy and relaxing. But after the movie, it makes me thought of my own life instead. What do i want? What do i plan? Its all kinda important.

Marie Antoinette

Story:

Marie Antoinette (Maria Antonia Joseph Joanna), a 14 years old daughter of Austria empress' Maria Theresa. Marie was chose to marry her second cousin, the Dauphin of France, Louis XVI. This marriage is to seal an alliance between the two rival countries.

Marie and Louis were married without knowing much of each other. Both of them were asked to give birth of an heir as soon as possible. On their wedding night, nothing happen between the dauphin & dauphine as both of them were still young. Marie as the new dauphine in France, find that everything is different from Austria. She like least the king's mistress, Madame du Barry. Not long later, people in the castle said that Marie is a cold and distant Austrian as she can't produce an heir for the royal family. Maria Theresa wrote letter for her daughter to warn her that an unconsummated marriage could be easily annulled and encourage her to inspire Louis to have sex with her.

Marie tried her best to seduce her husband for a few times but fail. As days passed, Marie had been advice by her mother to stop snubbling Madame du Barry, so Marie talked to the mistress whom has all the fancy and weird dress. But Marie still hates her and will not talk to the mistress anymore.

One night, Marie and Louis sneak to a masquerade party in Paris and she met Count Axel von Fersen for the first time. The beautiful daupine has attracted the good looking count Fersen. After King Louis Xv passed away, Louis XVI became the new king. The two young couple are inexperience in handling the country. Marie continue to spend non-stop on food and fashion while King Louis XVI spend most of the money on foreign war. This has make France go into further debt. One night, Marie and Louis talk about locksmithing which is a favourite hobby of the king, and using the key-making, both Marie and Louis has sex for the first time.

18 December 1778, the young queen gave birth to a princess, Marie Therese. At that moment, Marie has an affair with Count Fersen. France continue to spend for the American Revolution, and Marie was known as Madame Deficit who spend much on her luxurious lifestyle.

As Marie grew up, she gave birth to a prince, Louis Joseph. The French Revolution came into full fruition and an angry mob begins a march from Paris to Versailles. The King and Queen brought along the royal family, was forced to leave despite on that.

L² Comment:

This film won the Best Costume Design in 2006. Woah, the fashion at that time is simply vogue!!! But i found it the guys at that century is quite gayish in the sense of fashion and their wig. don't u think so?

Though i'm not really interest in the revolution things, but this film brought out another kind of view of that century and it do really really attracted my attention.

Alice in Wonderland

Story:

Since young, Alice Kingsleigh has been having the same weird dream till she's 19 years old. Alice attend a surprise propose wedding by Hamish Ascot, unable to make her decision, Alice excused herself and bump into a talking rabbit. Therefore, she chased after the rabbit till she fell into a hole beside a tree.

After a long fall, she got onto the base of the hole. She saw the shrink potion and drank it to escape through a small door. After Alice passed through the small entrance, she met Nivens McTwisp the white rabbit, Mallymkun the dormouse, Uilleam the dodo, Tweedledum and Tweedleldee the twins. The gang are not sure whether she's the real "Alice" that they are looking for, so they brought her to meet Absolem the caterpillar. Absolem claimed that she's not the full Alice they are looking at. Absolem also announced that on the Frabjous day, a heroin name Alice will slay the Red Queen's Jabberwocky.

While escorting Alice to see Mirana, the gang was attacked by Red Queen's army led by Knave of Hearts. Alice finally escaped when the dormouse stabs out the eye of Bandersnatch, a big fierce dog who attacked them. Alice was left behind and bump into the Cheshire Cat who took her to a tea party organized by Mad Hatter, March Hare & the dormouse. When Hatter is explaining what's "Alice" for, Knave of Hearts came with his troop. Mad Hatter gave Alice shrink potion and hide her in a teapot. Later on, Hatter brought Alice to look for Mirana on his hat. Mad Hatter again was caught by the army and went to make hat for the red queen.

Alice decided to look for Mad Hatter and gangs in red queen's castle. She managed to got the sword and save others from chain. They went to white queen castle and Alice was request to be the warrior who saly Jabberwocky but rejected by Alice. In the end, Alice took up the offer and fought with Jabberwocky in the Frabjous day. Alice managed to slay jabberwocky in the end and bring the crown back to white queen. White queen decided to chain her sister, red queen with knave of Heart together and shall not return to wonderland in the rest of their life.

Alice was back to the reality again, she rejected the proposed but becomes an apprentice for Lord Ascot in his business.

I have been watching the cartoon version since i was a kid, i still remember i got a video tape of it :) But apparently, Walt Disney decided to present a different version to the fans by working with Tim Burton. Burton of coz with his creative thoughts brought us a real good movie.

And i must say, Helena the red queen is so damn cool~ i jst cant stop laughing when i saw her big head~ And johnny depp still maintain his cockiness and anne hathaway brought me surprises too~ overall, this is the movie i will never miss on the big-screen :)

Jennifer's Body

Story:

Needy live in the mental hospital, she kicked one of the doctor and was send to a close-cell and she thought of what happened to her. Anita, also known as Needy has been the best friend for the college hot chick Jennifer since they were kid. Needy follows whatever Jennifer asks her to, even to sacrifice the time with her boyfriend, Chip.

One night, the girls went to a bar for the band "Low Shoulder". Jennifer was attracted to the lead singer Nikolai and lied to him that she's still a virgin. During the band performance, fire happened and burned down the place. Needy and Jennifer managed to escape from the toilet. But Jennifer was taken away by Nikolai. Nikolai and his band took Jennifer into the woods and offer her as a virgin sacrifice to Satan in exchange for their own fame and fortune. Though the sacrifice has been success and the band has what they want, but Jennifer non-virgin-body was took over by a demonic spirit.

Jennifer appeared later in Needy's kitchen and threw up black unknown liquid which scare Needy. The next morning, Needy found it weird as Jennifer acted everything in normal. Local news reported that the "Low Shoulder" is dedicating and donating money from each album they sell for the family of those who burned in the club. Meanwhile, Jennifer seduced the football's captain into the woods and drank his blood. Not only that, Jennifer accepted the school's emo Colin Gray and brutally kill him and then drank all his blood.

Needy was enjoying sex with Chip but sensed something bad, she drove home and almost knocked over Jennifer who is covered by blood. While she was in her room, Jennifer was there. Jennifer and Needy kiss in a lesbian way and then Jennifer explained to Needy what has happened to her the night after the club burnt down. Needy was shocked when Jennifer told her that her next target is Chip.

Needy told Chip about it and tried to stop him from attending the prom night, but Jennifer still able to found him in the school field. Jennifer tried to killed Chip, but Needy appeared on time and fought with Jennifer. Chip managed to stabbed Jennifer and Jennifer flee away in pain. But Chip has loss too much blood and dead. Needy get so angry and went over Jennifer house and attacked her. Needy managed to stabbed Jennifer at her heart and ended this demonic things, but all these was seen by Jennifer's mother.

Needy was suspected for suffering asylum and was send to mental hospital. But Needy was once bitten by Jennifer and she has the supernatural power. Needy know all these started from the band, she escaped by the supernatural power and took revenge to the band members.

L² Comment:

Megan Fox is hot~ i mean super :) But the story line is kinda stucky... i mean, its not smooth~ and the way Karyn directed this film is so Lesbian~ maybe she's been directing "L Word" for all these while, and she has to turn Goddess Megan into a lesbo too~

Overall, everything is kinda so so~ Nothing surprise me except sexy Megan gave me a boner :)
