Story:

Dom Cobb and his partner Arthur perform illegal corporate espionage by entering the subconscious minds of their targets, using two-level "dream within a dream" strategies to extract valuable information. Dreamers are awakened either by a sudden shock (a "kick"), or by dying in the dream. Each of the extractors carries a totem, a personalized small object whose behavior is unpredictable to anyone except its owner, to determine whether they are in another person's dream. Cobb's totem is a spinning top which perpetually spins in the dream state. Cobb struggles with memories of his dead wife, Mal, who manifests within his dreams and tries to sabotage his efforts.

Cobb is approached by the wealthy Mr. Saito, Cobb's latest extraction target, asking him and his team to perform the act of "inception"; planting an idea within the person's subconscious mind. Saito wishes to break up the vast energy conglomerate of his competitor, the ailing Maurice Fischer, by planting this idea in his son, Robert Fischer, who will inherit the empire when his father dies. Should Cobb succeed, Saito promises to use his influence to clear Cobb of the murder charges for his wife's death, allowing Cobb to re-enter the United States and reunite with his children. Despite Arthur's insistence that inception is impossible, Cobb accepts the job and assembles his team: Eames, an identity forger; Yusuf, a chemist who concocts the powerful sedative needed to stabilize the three-layered shared dream required for inception; and Ariadne , a young architecture student tasked with designing the labyrinth of the dream landscapes. Saito insists on joining the team as an observer and to ensure the job is completed. While planning the inception, Ariadne learns of the guilt Cobb struggles with from Mal's suicide and his separation from his children when he fled the country as a fugitive.

The job is set in motion when Maurice Fischer dies and his son accompanies his father's body from Sydney to Los Angeles. During the flight, Cobb sedates Fischer, and the team bring him into the shared dream. At each stage, the member of the team who is "creating" the dream remains to generate the "kick", while the other team members fall asleep within the dream to travel further down into Fischer's subconscious. The dreamers will then ride a synchronized series of "kicks" (the van plunging off a bridge, a fall between hotel rooms, and a collapsing building) back up the levels to wake up to reality. In the first level, Yusuf's dream of a rainy city, the team successfully abducts Fischer, but the team is attacked by projections of Fischer's 'militarized subconscious', which have been trained to hunt and kill extractors, and Saito is mortally wounded. Due to the strength of Yusuf's sedative, however, dying in the dream will send them into Limbo, a deep subconscious level where they may lose their grip on reality and be trapped indefinitely.

Eames temporarily takes the appearance of Fischer's godfather Peter Browning to suggest that he reconsider his opinion of his father's will. Yusuf remains on the first level driving a van through the streets, while the remaining team members enter Arthur's dream, taking place in a corporate hotel. Cobb turns Fischer against his projection of Browning and persuades him to join the team as Arthur runs point. They descend to the third dream level, Eames' dream, a snowy mountain fortress designed by Ariadne. Fischer is told that it represents Browning's subconscious, but the team is really accessing Fischer's subconscious. Yusuf's evasive driving on the first level manifests as distorted gravity effects on the second, forcing Arthur to improvise a kick using an elevator shaft, and an avalanche on the third.

Saito succumbs to his wounds, and Cobb's projection of Mal sabotages the plan by shooting Fischer, killing him.Cobb and Ariadne enter Limbo to find Fischer and Saito. There, Cobb confronts his projection of Mal, who tries to convince him to stay with her and his kids in Limbo. Cobb refuses and confesses that he feels he was responsible for Mal's suicide. Using inception to help her escape from Limbo during a shared dream experience, he inspired in her the idea that her world wasn't real. Once she had returned to reality, she became convinced that she was still dreaming and needed to die in order to wake up, writing a letter claiming that Cobb was threatening her to try and convince him to accept their dream state and commit suicide with her. Through his confession, Cobb attains catharsis and chooses to remain in Limbo to search for Saito. Eames defibrillates Fischer to bring him back up to the third-level mountain fortress, where he enters a safe room and discovers and accepts the idea to split up his father's business empire.

Leaving Cobb behind, the team members escape by riding the kicks back up the levels of the dream. Cobb eventually finds an elderly Saito who has been waiting in Limbo for decades in dream time (just a short time in real time), the two help each other to remember their arrangement, and the team awakens on the flight. Cobb passes through U.S. customs, and reunites with his children at home, where he uses Mal's totem, a spinning top, to test reality, but is distracted by his children before he can see the result.

OMG~ this is such a heavy movie~ A dream in a dream, or should i say multiple dreams? This is so confuse and i feel so tired after watching the whole movie. Really sorry to say that, i don't like this movie even though i'm a huge fans of DiCarpio~ yawn~

Story:

The story begins 4 days after the events of the first film, the 22nd day of the Creeper's 23-day cycle. A farmer, Jack Taggart, Sr. is trying to put up fence poles while his son, Jack Jr. is working on the car. While his brother and father are busy, Billy Taggert, sets up scarecrows through the farm's cornfield. One of the scarecrows in the field suddenly moves its head. Billy goes to look at it and sees it has talons on its feet. Scared that a psycho must have come to their farm, Billy runs to get his brother. However, the "scarecrow" comes to life and pounces on Billy. Both Jacks hear Billy's screams and carry a rifle out into the field to find the attacker. They chase after Billy and his captor until the "scarecrow" sprouts wings and disappears into the sky with Billy, leaving Billy's family horrified and stunned.

Returning home from a championship game, a group of high school basketball players, their coaches and cheerleaders become stranded on East 9 Highway in Kissel County when their bus breaks down. The trapped students and their coaches soon discover a makeshift shuriken has slashed their tires. The students learn of the fire to the church where The Creeper hid all the dead bodies while listening to the radio inside the bus. They attempt to limp home on the damaged bus, another makeshift shuriken blows up the remaining back tire. As night approaches, they see The Creeper, a monster that resurfaces every 23 years to feed. The Creeper first kills the chaperones on the bus then targets the teenagers (who begin turning on one another). Meanwhile, Jack and his son arm themselves and set out on a personal mission to hunt the Creeper down and to rescue some of the surviving teenagers.

Back on the bus, it becomes evident to the teens that the creature is much stronger than they imagined; when the Creeper's head is severely damaged by one of the students on the bus, it kills a different student by decapitating him, then consumes his head. Afterward, the Creeper decapitates itself and then we see a new head appear in the form of its victim. When complete, the head transforms into the shape of the original head the Creeper had before the damage. The teens leave the bus to head for a nearby farm, believing that the Creeper is gone, however the Creeper is merely waiting for them. The Creeper chases the scared teens into a wide field, killing two of them. One of the teens, Bucky, returns to the bus with two others. Just as the Creeper attempts to grab him, the Taggarts, having tracked down the abandoned bus with help from Minxie, arrive and flash their car lights at the Creeper, forcing him to drop Bucky and as Jack, Sr. shines the light on the Creeper, the Creeper releases his wings as intimidation.

Jack, Sr. fires the harpoon through the Creeper, and the Creeper grabs the harpoon after it hits. The Creeper starts to pull the truck (as the harpoon is connected to the machine by a rope) until it throws the harpoon back at the Taggarts, who narrowly dodge the weapon. The Creeper then tries to fly through the bus, but Jack, Sr. places another harpoon in the machine and shoots the Creeper again. But the Creeper survives (shedding its disguise), and pulls the truck so hard that it flips over, although both Taggarts escape at the last moment.

Three teens, Izzy, Rhonda, and Double D, the Creeper's target, find an abandoned truck sitting in the middle of the field, while its driver became another victim of the Creeper. The Creeper approaches as the three teens hijack the truck. As the Creeper chases the truck, Izzy pushes Rhonda out of the truck and her head strikes a rock as she rolls. Izzy, who's driving, then jumps out and runs away after crashing the truck into the Creeper, while the truck flips and is set ablaze. The Creeper loses its wings, right arm, and left leg but still pursues Double D, who is severely injured. As The Creeper is about to eat Double D, Jack, Sr., who managed to repair the harpoon machine, shoots the Creeper straight in the head. Severely injured, the Creeper is unable to defend himself as Jack, Sr. proceeds to use a spare harpoon to stab the Creeper continuously through the chest until he runs out of breath. At the same time, the Creeper apparently succumbs to his wounds as its face wings close around its head. Minxie (Nicki Aycox), the medium teenager, tells Jack, Sr. that the Creeper is not dead, but has gone into hibernation for another 23 years and will be back afterwards.

23 years later, kids have heard about the creature the farmer has killed and desire to see it. They pay their $5 to see the "attraction" called "Bat Out of Hell". The teens look up to find the Creeper, with his body parts sewed back together, crucified to the wall as a tourist attraction. An elderly Jack, Sr. is seated by the harpoon gun, which is loaded and aimed directly at the beast's heart. One of the teenagers asks if he is waiting for something, and Jack, Sr. responds, "about three more days... give or take a day or two".

L² Comment:

The second movie of Jeepers Creepers is much more better than the first one. Though boytoy Justin Long is here, but he's just appearing for a few scenes, which i'm glad to see his fucking good looking face again :P

There's more killing scene in this movie and the creepers appeared more than the first movie :) I just can't wait for the 3rd movie, which mostly they are gonna film by next year and show on the big screen in 2013...

Hit and Run

Story:

The film opens as Mary Murdock, a young student, leaves a lively party at a club in New Jersey one night. She hits a bad bump driving home drunk on a dark road. Later, hearing noises in the garage, she finds a bleeding man, mangled and impaled on her jeep's bumper. Not calling 911, she tries to help, but he suddenly attacks. Panicked, she hits him with a golf club. After, she buries his body in a shallow grave in the woods off Clover Rd. The next day, Mary covers up the crime (before parents return from a weekend trip); she scrubs off the blood but doesn't get the dent fixed (a suspicious cop at the auto shop scares her off, then she detours for her grandmas parrots at airport cargo). Mary starts coming apart. Irrational, she crashes on a tree to camouflage the small dent with a bigger.

Later the news reveals the missing man is kindergarten teacher Timothy Emser, bipolar and unstable when he vanished. Strange things occur in Mary's house, making her feel toyed with by someone unseen; she descends into paranoia. It transpires that Rick, her boyfriend, gets involved in the cover up and goes to retrieve incriminatory evidence (a blanket) off the corpse, but is killed, replaced in Emser's grave. It becomes clear Emser survived. Unhinged, he returns to make Mary live through the same nightmare she inflicted on him. He stalks Mary many ways. The parrots squawk strange phrases, which alert Mary. At one point, she falls down the stairs, impaling a screw driver in her thigh. Emser surprise attacks, biting and stabbing her, and she passes out. In a reversal, when Mary revives, Emser has strapped her to the bumper with electric cords and Xmas lights and takes her on a sadistic, all-night "revenge drive".

Along the way, after a struggle, Emser kills a gas attendant (who was about to call the cops) by pumping petrol down his throat. Emser parks back at his own house, leaving Mary trapped in his garage, as she did to him. He reunites with his worried family, but is ever more delusional, violent. Soon, Emser murders his wife Jane when she accidentally stumbles on and tries to untie Mary. It transpires that Emser goes to bury Mary in the woods with Rick's body, after detaching her and the bumper using a blowtorch and welding mask. However, in the grave, Mary is able to maim his eye with a plug from the cords and escapes in the jeep. When Emser blocks her path, Mary revs up and purposefully hits and runs down her demon-like tormentor several times, liberated. She speeds off in the dark.

Next morning, Mary wakes on the roadside, numb and battered, and drives to a local auto shop. There, the mechanic and passersby ultimately discover, and pull out, Emser's body from under the jeep, where it got snagged. Seeing this, Mary has a mental breakdown, saying "I don't think I need that bumper anymore", laughing as the police sirens close in on her.

The film ends moving closer to Emser's bloodied face on the pavement in the early rain, and it appears to be left uncertain whether he is actually dead or not. Throughout the narrative, a radio DJ called Eddie the Spaz is periodically heard, hosting a weekend music marathon, the "Spazathon", which bookends the film.

L² Comment:

This is a movie which actually warn us not to hit and run, at least be a bit responsible, call the ambulance for help. But if you're damn rich, then say it in another hand. The whole movie look like a low production, but it is from MGM., surprise huh?!?

The only weird part is, after the teacher being hit by the car, he totally changed! And he even killed his own wife, this is a bit out of logic. But movie still be movie, Laura Breckenridge looks a bit like my favorite Shannen Doherty ~ hot :)

Clownhouse

Story:

Clownhouse follows the story of leading protagonist Casey, a normal boy whose life is constantly influenced by his intense fear of clowns. His two older brothers, Geoffrey and Randy, are mostly disobliging. One night, the three boys are left alone, so they decide to visit a local circus for a night of amusement, despite knowing Casey's uncontrollable coulrophobia.

Meanwhile, three mental patients have escaped from a local insane asylum, and their first stop is at the same circus the brothers are attending. At the circus, Casey innocently visits a fortune teller despite Randy's better judgment. The fortune teller reveals to Casey that his life line has been cut short, and says to him: Beware, beware, in the darkest of dark, though the flesh is young and the hearts are strong, precious life cannot be long, when darkest death has left its mark.

As the boys go home from the circus, a shaken Casey thinks his nightmare is over, but it has only just begun. The three escaped mental patients have murdered three circus clowns, disguised themselves with their costumes and makeup and have made their way to the boys' house to unleash a night of terror, where Casey is forced to face his fears once and for all. Though Casey founds out the three clowns are haunting them, but his two brothers won't believe him. Randy even fool around dressing like a clown try to scare his two younger brother and in the end caught by the three lunatic clowns.

Casey & Geoffrey tried to fight their way out and manage to defeat Bippo & Dippo. But Cheezo caught Geoffrey, Casey ran and hide inside his room but the laughing clown toy sell him out. When lunatic Cheezo try to kill Casey, Geoffrey came on time and axed Cheezo to death.

Well, this is not a really scary horror movie actually. But for people like me who has coulrophobia, this is really a big challenge for me~ i hate clown, i really do... they are freaking scary and eerie for me... i never like them since small~

Back to the movie, the storyline is a bit lame. But well, for teenagers, its quite ok... Sam Rockwell is really cute at his very first movie, though he's still cute now even in his 40's. Nathan Forrest Winters & Brian McHugh is no more in the movie industry, but i can say that, Brian McHugh definitely is a hottie :)

Jeepers Creepers

Story:

The film chronicles a day in the life of siblings, Trish and her brother Darry Jenner coming home from college. As they drive through the North Florida countryside in their 1960 Chevrolet Impala, a mysterious driver in a rusty old delivery truck tries to run them off the road. After letting the vehicle pass them, they later see the same truck, in the distance off the side of the road, with a hulking man sliding what looks to be bodies covered with blood stained sheets, into a large pipe sticking out of the ground next to an old abandoned church.

The driver, taking note that they have seen him, catches up to them and tries to run them off the road a second time, Darry insists they go back and investigate. Darry orders Trish to hold his feet while he looks into the pipe. Rats appear in front of him and he jerks and screams, causing Trish to lose her grip on his legs, and he slides down the pipe cutting himself. At the bottom, he finds hundreds of bodies sewn together, covering the walls of a massive cavern beneath the church. Darry can not reach the end of the pipe which looms above his head, so he looks around and finally finds a passage up through the church. Visibly traumatized by what he has seen, he and Trish flee the scene and stop at a gas station where they contact the police. While waiting for the cops to arrive, they are phoned by a local psychic, Jezelle Gay Hartman, who warns them that they are in terrible danger. She plays the song "Jeepers Creepers" on the phone, and tells them that when they hear that song, they will be in extreme danger. Badly frightened, they ignore her warning. Word arrives that the old church had gone up in flames and all evidence of any bodies has been destroyed. Trish and Darry rush out of the gas station with the police providing a security escort.

As they travel, the police are attacked and killed by the mysterious driver of the old truck. While Trish and Darry flee the scene, the driver loads the policemen's bodies into his truck. Darry and Trish try to get help from a local eccentric, but the mysterious driver catches up to them, the woman attempts to kill him with a shotgun but he jumps out of the way and kills her. They manage to hit the mysterious driver with their car, and run him over several times. After crushing the mysterious driver's body, they realized its inhuman nature when what appears to be a giant wing begins to flap around. Leaving it on the road, they drive to the local police station to wait for their parents, but Jezelle shows up and warns them they are still in danger.

Jezelle tells them the true nature of the mysterious creature: it is an ancient demon known as "The Creeper", which rises every twenty-third spring for twenty-three days to feast on human body parts which, upon consumption, form part of its own body. She also tells them that it seeks out its victims through fear, and that by smelling the fear from Trish and Darry, it has found something it likes, but she does not know what.

The wounded Creeper attacks the police station and gains entrance to the cells. After it feasts on prisoners to heal, it is swarmed by police, but kills a number of them. Jezelle guides Trish and Darry upstairs, telling them one of them will die, screaming in the dark while the song "Jeepers Creepers" plays in the background. The Creeper heads towards Jezelle and sniffs her, but lets her go, and heads off to find Trish and Darry. The Creeper catches up and captures Darry. Trish tries to reason with it, and attempts to give her life for her brother's. The police burst in and take aim, but the Creeper escapes out the window with Darry. The next day, Trish, contemplating Darry's fate, is picked up by her parents, and Jezelle returns home in regret.

The final scene shows the Creeper in its new hideout, an abandoned meat packing plant, where the audience finally learns what the Creeper wanted: by ripping out the back of Darry's head, it has taken his eyes, leaving Darry's body an eyeless, motionless corpse, while "Jeepers Creepers" is playing in the background. The film ends with Creeper looking at the audience through Darry's eye socket.

In a brief shot after the credits, the camera shows the driver's window of the Creeper's truck rolled down, with the Creeper smiling at the audience.

This is the earlier movie when Drew Barrymore's boytoy Justin Long young young movie. He was so blunt and funny at that time. The whole movie is just ok, i don't know why it was rated as a A+ horror movie, but for me, it just so so only. Hearing that they are gonna film the 3rd movie soon in 2013, hopefully it will be better...

I'm so gonna watch the 2nd movie soon !!!

Nosferatu

Story:

Thomas Hutter (Jonathan Harker in Stoker's novel) lives in the fictitious German city of Wisborg. His employer, Knock, sends Hutter to Transylvania to visit a new client named Count Orlok (Stoker's Count Dracula). Hutter entrusts his loving wife Ellen (Stoker's Mina Harker) to his good friend Harding (Stoker's Arthur Holmwood) and Harding's wife Annie (Stoker's Lucy Westenra), before embarking on his long journey.

Nearing his destination in the Carpathian mountains, Hutter stops at an inn for dinner. The locals become frightened by the mere mention of Orlok's name and discourage him from traveling to his castle at night, warning of a werewolf on the prowl. In his room, Hutter finds a book, The Book of the Vampires, which he leafs through before falling asleep, though he does not believe it.

The next morning, Hutter dresses and packs, light-heartedly including the book in his bags. After a coach ride to a high mountain pass, the coachmen decline to take him any further than the bridge as nightfall is approaching. A sinister black-swathed coach of an archaic design suddenly appears after Hutter crosses the bridge and the coachman (obviously Orlok in disguise) gestures for him to climb aboard. Past midnight, Hutter is welcomed at the castle by Count Orlok himself, who excuses the poor welcome as the servants have all gone to bed. While Hutter has a late dinner, Orlok reads a letter. When Hutter cuts his thumb, Orlok tries to suck the blood out of the wound, but his repulsed guest pulls his hand away, and Orlock suggest they turn in. Hutter then falls asleep exhausted in the parlor.

He wakes up to a castle with nobody in it and notices fresh punctures on his neck, which he attributes to mosquitoes. That night, Orlok signs the documents to purchase the house across from Hutter's own home and writes a letter to his wife. He gets a coachman to send the letter away. Orlok sees Hutter's miniature portrait of his wife and admires her beautiful neck. Reexamining The Book of the Vampires, Hutter starts to suspect that Orlok is Nosferatu, the "Bird of Death." He cowers in his room as midnight approaches, but there is no way to bar the door. The door opens by itself and Orlok enters, his true nature finally revealed, and Hutter falls unconscious. At the same time, Ellen sleepwalks and screams for Hutter. She is somehow heard by Orlok, who stops advancing and leaves Hutter untouched. The Doctor who is called mistakes this for a blood disease.

The next day, Hutter explores the castle. In its crypt, he finds the coffin in which Orlok is resting dormant. Horrified, he dashes back to his room. From the window, he sees Orlok piling up coffins on a coach and climbing into the last one before the coach departs. Hutter escapes the castle through the window by tying together strips of the bed linen, but has to jump when his improvised rope runs out, and is knocked unconscious by the fall. He is taken to a hospital. When he is sufficiently recovered, Hutter hurries home. An iconic scene of the shadow of Nosferatu (Count Orlok) climbing up a staircase

Meanwhile, the coffins are shipped down river on a raft. They are transferred to a schooner, but not before one is opened by the crew. Inside, they find soil and rats. Under the long-distance influence of Orlok, Knock starts behaving oddly and is confined to a psychiatric ward. Later, Knock steals a newspaper, which tells of an outbreak of an unknown plague spreading down the coast of the Black Sea. Many people are dying, with odd marks on their necks. Knock rejoices.

The sailors on the ship get sick one by one; soon all but the captain and first mate are dead. Suspecting the truth, the first mate goes below to destroy the coffins. However, Orlok awakens and the horrified sailor jumps into the sea. Unaware of his danger, the captain becomes Orlok's latest victim when he ties himself to the wheel. When the ship arrives in Wisborg, Orlok leaves unobserved, carrying one of his coffins. (A passage in The Book of the Vampires reveals that the source of a vampire's power is the soil in which he was buried.) He moves into the house he purchased. The next morning, when the ship is inspected, the captain is found dead. After examining the logbook, the doctors assume they are dealing with the plague. The town is stricken with panic, and people are warned to stay inside.

Hutter returns home. Ellen reads The Book of Vampires, despite his injunction not to, and learns how to kill a vampire: a woman pure in heart must willingly give her blood to him, so that he loses track of time until the cock's first crowing. There are many deaths in the town. The residents chase Knock, who has escaped after murdering the warden, mistaking him for a vampire. He escapes them by climbing a roof, then using a scarecrow.

Orlok stares from his window at the sleeping Ellen. She opens her window to invite him in, but faints. When Hutter revives her, she sends him to fetch Professor Bulwer (Stoker's Abraham Van Helsing). After he leaves, Orlok comes in. He becomes so engrossed drinking her blood, he forgets about the coming day. Knock, who has been captured off-screen, senses Orlok is in danger. He tries to climb up to his cell window, but is pulled down by two men. A rooster crows and Orlok sense danger. Knock, meanwhile, has been bound in his cell and tries to warn the 'Master' of danger. Orlok tries to leave the room, but vanishes in a bit of smoke as he tries to flee (marking the first death by sunlight in the history of vampire fiction). Knock senses that Orlok is dead. Ellen lives just long enough to be embraced by her grief-stricken husband. The last image of the movie is of Orlok's ruined castle in the Carpathian Mountains.

Well, the first ever vampire movie in this world. What should i say? How should i comment? I mean, there's no dialogue in the whole black & white movie except the subtitles. Maybe at that period, people do get scare of the freaky looks of the dracula and its a new thing for them. But for me, ummm~ ya... it was alright, but not really scare me much~

But i really glad that i finally get the chance to watch this legendary vampire movie~ :)

Story:

Shen is a mediocre con artist and learn all his trick from his master. He met Yuan and was drag into a deal with Gui Li to pay back Yuan's debt. In another hand, Fatt have plastic surgery but still get caught by Gui Li for owning his debt. Therefore Fatt decided to cheat all the valuable antique for Gui Li.

During Fatt stealing events, he overheard a phone call mentioning that a rich heir Jackie is coming back and Fatt decided to change his plan. In a coincidence Shen claimed himself as Jackie and together with Yuan, they decided to trick Fatt for money. Fatt hire Apple as his daughter and Ping as his wife for the whole con. When both of their trick failed, only they realize they have the same debtor and wanted to con Gui Li instead.

With the help of Shen's master, they get to trick Gui Li in giving them money and Gui Li was beaten up by his own brother. Finally, everyone managed to clear their debts.

This movie rank on number 17 in Hong Kong blockbuster in 1991. I love this movie the most in Stephen Chow's series, the best movie ever for me~ i laugh and laugh until i can't breath, no matter how many times i watch~ Really hope to see all of them work together and get us some good comedy again~ :)
