 Story: 

Ying is a freshman in a university which she met her senior Tuo who wear bikini and roller skate while holding a cabbage everywhere he went. Ying work at a cafe which the boss is always sad and emo, later she learn that the boss missed her ex boyfriend who is dead in a car accident. 

Tuo started to fall in love with Ying but Ying has a crash with Yu, a guy who came to the cafe everyday with different girls. Ying later on told Yu that she fall for him, but Yu reveal the truth that he is actually the boss ex boy friend who has passed away in the car accident. He is now an angel and hope to find hope and happiness for his girlfriend. Ying helped the angel to make the beloved coffee for the boss and later on find herself has fall in love with Tuo.

Heard about this for some time and was waiting like hell for this movie to be show in the big screen. This is from the first novel of Giddens, hopefully i can find this book and read it. Love the storyline, its special, its touching and the most important is, i went to watch this cinema with the right person who understand me and willing to accept me of who i am... :) Love, Peace~

Story:

Beginning in 1994, Shen Chia-Yi is popular among teachers and her classmates as an outstanding student and a girl to date. Only mischievous Ko Ching-Teng claims has no interest in her, despite being her classmate since junior high school. One day, the class teacher changes Ching-Teng's seat, placing him in front of Chia-Yi after he is caught masturbating in class.

In an English class, Chia-Yi forgets to bring her textbook. Pitying her, Ching-Teng slips her his and confesses to the teacher that he did not bring the textbook. Ching-Teng then endures a long lecture and is punished. Chia-Yi, moved by his behaviour, prepares a practice paper for Ching-Teng in return to encourage him to work hard in his studies. She also convinces him to stay after school to study with her. Since then, their relationship grows and Ching-Teng's grades are improved gradually.

Upon graduation, Ching-Teng manages to enroll at the National Chiao Tung University. Yet, Chia-Yi doesn't feel well during examinations and enters the National Taipei University of Education as a result of her poor performance. Chia-Yi, depressed by the result, is consoled by Ching-Teng. Chia-Yi also receives long-distance phone calls from Ching-Teng almost every night at university. During the Christmas season that year, the two of them go for their first unofficial date.

Ching-Teng believes that men should show their "strength" to women, so he decides to organize a duel and invites Chia-Yi to spectate. However, Chia-Yi thinks Ching-Teng is childish to hold the duel and risk injuring himself, which upsets Ching-Teng and causes a quarrel between them.

After their break-up, Ah-He dates Chia-Yi for a short time. But they break up five months later. In the two years after their break-up, Ching-Teng does not have any contact with Chia-Yi. In the meantime he qualifies for a research course at Tunghai University upon graduation, where he starts to write web novels. Ching-Teng manages to regain contact with Chia-Yi after the 921 earthquake, when he calls her to find out if she was injured.

Years later, in 2004, Chia-Yi calls Ching-Teng to tell him that she is getting married. All of her old friends gather at the wedding, making jokes trying to embarrass the groom. Nevertheless, they are finally surprised that their past emotions have transformed into a profound friendship and ever calmness in their hearts. Ching-Teng begins to work on a web novel about his experiences with Chia-Yi.

Bravo to this film :) I always love to read Giddens' novel, especially the psycho horror fiction. Never thought that this movie is so good which i have miss it in the big screen. But well, if i watch it in the cinema, definitely i won't able to see the scenery of ass :P

But this movie changes a lot from the fiction... Well, since Giddens is the novelist and also the director of this film, no doubt he has to change some of the storyline to spice up the movie, but i really hope he can film the movie based on the original novel version.

A good try for Giddens, and i definitely hope to see more from him.
