Basically they wanted to have the movie structure like Phobia~ but i think this movie is a total disaster for a horror movie. Even though Chookiat Sakveerakul directed on the last section of the movie, but it is not as good as the "13 beloved game"~ overall the movie is so so...nothing special!

Story:

Phucit is a mix of Thai and Eurasian living in Bangkok. He's facing a financial problem and his car was pulled away due to his inability to pay the installment. Just when he's in the depression period, he received a call telling him he has been selected into a game show to win one hundred million baht.

But there was 3 rules which Phucit has to obey so that he will not be kick out of them game:
1. Cannot give up on any of the game
2. Cannot tell anyone he's playing the game
3. Cannot find out what is behind the game including the source.

Desperate for money, Phucit go for it, the 13 games are:
1. Kill a fly with newspaper (10,000 baht)
2. Eat the fly he has killed (50,000 baht)
3. Make the 3 children in the kindergarten cry (100,000 baht)
4. Rob the beggar's money (accumulate to 200,000 baht)
5. Eat a plate of human shit in a high class restaurant (accumulate to 500,000 baht)
6. Surrender his cellphone to a psycho and beat down the gangster on bus while grabbing his cellphone (accumulate to 1,000,000 baht)
7. Move the corpse from a well and inform his family to come over (accumulate to 2,000,000 baht)
8. Use a chair with a number of 8 to hit a guy with 8 on his shirt which happened to be the new boyfriend of Phucit's ex
9. Find the relevant person in room 805 which is a granny
10. Do whatever the granny ask him to do, which is to put on a strong string across the road for her to dry her dress. This has killed those who is racing motorcycle.
11. Find a samurai sword, either to kill Tawng or Tawng's dog. Phucit killed the dog.
12. Killed the cow nearby and got the key from it intestine.
13. Use the key to open the door and kill the person who is on the wheelchair (accumulate to 100,000,000 baht).

Before this, Tawng hacked into the 13 games system and went over to stop the game. She was shocked to find out it was a kid who's controlling the game. And there was hundred of people paying to watch over this and took control one by one. Tawng was caught and can't manage to stop the game.

Phucit pulled off the mask on the person at the wheelchair and found out it was his father, Tay. All the old memoried flashed back, Tay has been abuse Phucit and his thai mother all these while. But Phucit was unable to kill him and give up the game. Just when Phucit going to left, a knife was stabbed into him. Surprisingly, it was Tay who did it. Tay was actually playing the game as well and he has won his one hundred million baht by killing his own son.

L² Comment:

This is a really really good movie based on the thai comic :) it does not only entertaining, it also shows the bad side of a society which influence by money. People nowadays will give up everything including their relatives to live in a material life.

This film has also help Krissada to win Best Actor in the Thai Suphannahong Awards. Achita won Best Supporting Actress in the Bangkok Critics Assembly Awards while Chookiat won the Best Director.
