Story:

The middle-aged Navy veteran Larry Crowne is fired from his job at a big-box store, despite his seniority and satisfactory work, because the company has decided that his lack of a college education impedes any chance of advancement.

Larry, who is divorced and lives alone, cannot find a job and he almost loses his house. A neighbor advises him to enroll in the local community college and get an education in order to get better opportunities in the future.

At the college, Larry makes friends quickly with his younger classmates, purchases a scooter, studies economics and begins to work at a diner kitchen, having been a Navy cook. Larry also falls in love with an unhappily married teacher, Mercedes.

Beside this, Larry also met Talia & Dell who is the scooter gang. Larry feel young again when he join the groups. He is having his good youth life back. While Mercedes divorced with her husband and started to fall for Larry too. As Larry graduated, he was happy with his life and with Mercedes as well.

I think this is the first ever movie that Hanks & Roberts work together which directed by Hanks. Its not really an exciting movie but good enough for you to enjoy with your love one. Its been a while i have not watch any Julia Roberts' movie, so this is a refreshing one for me :)

And and and, Wilmer Valdarrama is kinda hot :P

Story:

In 1961, the Ark, a Cybertronian spacecraft carrying an invention capable of ending the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, crash lands on the far side of the moon. The crash is detected on Earth by NASA, and President John F. Kennedy authorizes a mission to put a man on the moon as a cover for investigating the craft. In 1969, the crew of Apollo 11 lands on the Moon to explore the craft.

In the present, the Autobots assist the US military in preventing conflicts around the globe. During a mission to Chernobyl to investigate suspected Alien technology, Optimus Prime finds a fuel cell from the Ark, discovering it had survived its journey from Cybertron. The Autobots are attacked by Shockwave who manages to escape. After learning of the top-secret mission to the moon, the Autobots travel there to explore the Ark. There they discover a comatose Sentinel Prime – former Autobot leader – and his creation, The Pillars, a means of establishing a Space Bridge between two points to teleport matter. After returning to Earth, Optimus uses the energy of his Matrix of Leadership to revive Sentinel Prime.

Meanwhile, Sam Witwicky is frustrated that he is unable to work with the Autobots and failing to find a job. He also becomes envious of the close relationship between his new girlfriend, Carly Spencer, and her boss Dylan Gould. After finding work, Sam is provided information by his co-worker Jerry Wang about the Ark before he is assassinated by Laserbeak – a condor-like Decepticon. Sam contacts the now-retired Seymour Simmons, and together they realize that Megatron and the Decepticons are murdering people connected to the American and Russian space missions to the Ark. They locate two surviving Russian cosmonauts who reveal satellite photos of hundreds of Pillars being stockpiled on the moon. Sam realizes that the Decepticons raided the Ark long before the Autobots mission and intentionally left Sentinel and five Pillars behind to lure the Autobots into a trap - Sentinel being key to activating the Pillars and the Decepticons lacking the means to revive him. The Autobots rush to return Sentinel to their base for protection but Sentinel betrays them and kills Ironhide, revealing he had made a deal with the Decepticons to ensure the survival of the Cybertronian race. Sentinel uses the Pillars to transport hundreds of concealed Decepticons from the moon to Earth and Carly is captured by Gould, who is revealed to be in the Decepticons' service. The Autobots are exiled from Earth at the demand of the Decepticons to avoid war but as their ship leaves Earth it is destroyed by Starscream, seemingly killing the Autobots.

The Decepticons, led by Megatron and Sentinel, seize Chicago as their agents place Pillars around the world. Gould reveals to Carly that the Decepticons plan to transport their homeworld of Cybertron to the Milky Way to use the resources and enslaved humans of Earth to rebuild their world. Sam teams with Robert Epps to go into Chicago and save Carly, but they are nearly killed by Decepticon forces before the Autobots intervene; revealing they concealed themselves during the launch of their ship to convince the Decepticons they were destroyed.

Working together, the Autobots and human soldiers manage to rescue Carly and destroy Soundwave, Barricade, Starscream and Shockwave with Optimus using Shockwave's arm-cannon to blast the Control Pillar, disabling the Space Bridge. Sam confronts Gould as he reactivates the Control Pillar. Sam knocks Gould into the Pillar, electrocuting him. Bumblebee and Ratchet arrive and destroy the Control Pillar, permanently disabling the Bridge and causing the partially transported Cybertron to implode. Optimus and Sentinel fight while Carly convinces Megatron that he will be replaced as leader of the Decepticons by Sentinel. Sentinel severs Optimus's right-arm and prepares to execute him when Megatron intervenes, incapacitating Sentinel. Optimus attacks Megatron, decapitating and killing him. Sentinel pleads for his life but Optimus executes him. With the Decepticons defeated, Carly and Sam are reunited and the Autobots accept that with Cybertron gone, Earth is now their home.

Sorry transformers' fans, am i rating this a bit low? But i seriously think the 1st & 2nd movie is much more better than this. Is it because i watch too much movies dy? Seems like none of the sequel movie satisfy me this year....

Changing from Megan Fox to this new Victoria's secret hot chick Whiteley is a high risk for the movie. Though Foxy lady dont really act well, but i think much more better than Whiteley. But this new chick really make my eyes sparks throughout the whole movie, not bad...

Josh Duhamel is a waste~ come on, you don't necessary have to get yourself in the big production like this? Josh dont even have any chance to show us how good his acting (body) is~ he's totally outshine by Shia LaBeouf. And Patrick Dempsey? lol, i think anybody else can take up his character.~

Story:

Few years ago, detective Rockman shot a criminal Chiu in Bangkok and cause him to loss his pain feeling. Rockman also involve in an affair with Elli who came from Shen Zhen and dance in a Go Go bar at bangkok. They have relationship but Rockman left her later while promising he will come back later.

Years later, Rockman's wife Bik was casted a black magic. Their son also die after cursed by the black magic. Rockman & Sum expected is Chiu who came back for revenge. They try to search him but failed. Later on Rockman admitted his affair and suspect Elli is the black magic caster. But after investigating, Elli never left Thailand and enter to Hong Kong before.

Rockman & Sum bring Bik to see a black magic caster to release Bik's black magic. When they thought everything is over, the black magic came back to hurt Bik again. The truth is, Elli's admire in Bangkok, Lockman has come for revenge. Seeing Elli suffering from the love torture, Lockman decided to learn black magic and come to kill Rockman. He's the one who casted the black magic to Bik and her son; while buying the materials from Chiu.

They arrested Chiu and Chiu offer Rockman to help Bik released her from the black magic. Rockman sneak Chiu out from the police station but was traced by Sum. On a fight, Chiu used black magic to cast Bik against them but Rockman managed to defeat them while Sum was killed. After collecting all materials, they start to do black magic, but Lockman's head fly in to attack. Luckily, in the end, Lockman's head touched the materials and released Bik's black magic.

This is quite good, horror + a bit of erotic feeling, kinda eerriee in the whole film. Teng Tzu Hsuan is so hot, her boobs are nice and seems yummy.

Overall the storyline and the make up thingy is quite good. The only fake part is when Maggie Shiu vomit out all the centipedes, that part is a bit weird lo~ graphic not nice enough~ lol.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

Story:

Soren, a fledgling barn owl, lives peacefully in the forest of Tyto with his family; his father, Noctus; his mother, Marella; his older brother, Kludd, his younger sister, Eglantine and Ms. P the family's nest maid. Noctus enjoys telling Soren and Eglantine stories of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, a mythical group of warrior owls, who once saved all owlkind from the evil "Pure Ones" in a great battle in which the Guardians' leader, Lyze of Kiel, defeated the Pure Ones' leader Metal Beak. Kludd, however, thinks Soren soft-headed for believing in such stories. One night, while branching, a jealous Kludd pushes Soren and loses his balance in the process, and they both fall to the ground below. They are attacked by a Tasmanian devil but are saved and also kidnapped by a pair of Long-Eared Owls named Jatt and Jutt.

They are taken to St. Aegolious, home to the Pure Ones, where Soren meets an elf owl named Gylfie and her captor, a (boreal owl) named Grimble. The two are roughly thrown into a crowd of other kidnapped owlets. Nyra, second-in-command of the Pure Ones and the mate of Metal Beak, claims that the owlets now work for the Pure Ones as slaves. Soren and Gylfie protest, and are sent to be pickers, along with most of the captive owls. Kludd denies his brother, and goes away to be a soldier with other selected owls. They are tutored by Nyra in the ways of the Pure Ones, who believe that Tyto owls (barn owls and their relatives) are the strongest owls and that, because of this, they have the right to rule the owl kingdoms.

The other captured owls are forced to sleep under the full moon. Gylfie informs Soren that this will cause "moon-blinking", a trancelike state in which owls lose all sense of will and individuality. Soren and Gylfie stay awake, which means that they are not moon-blinked. They are brought to a large cavern to pick through owl pellets for small metal flecks. Soren discovers that the flecks en masse cause weakening pain in owls, when he is ordered to deliver a fleck to the bag they are kept in. The full bag is then carried away by a large bat to a gigantic metal container. Metal Beak (Joel Edgerton) and an unknown owl watch from above, making a bargain in which the unknown owl will receive a portion of the owl kingdoms and the Tree in return for laying a trap for the Pure Ones' enemies, the Guardians of Ga'Hoole. Grimble secretly takes Soren and Gylfie to his library, where he reveals that he is not truly a Pure One. He also tells the two owlets that his family was captured by the Pure Ones and forced into their service. He teaches Soren and Gylfie to fly, so they can warn the Guardians of the Pure Ones' plans.

Kludd has become a strong soldier, and his promise prompts Nyra to ask him about Soren's similar potential. Hoping to recruit him, the Pure Ones interrupt Grimble's flying lessons. Nyra attacks Grimble, Soren and Gylfie. Kludd joins the fray on Nyra's side, ignoring Soren's pleas. Grimble sacrifices himself to hold them back, and Soren and Gylfie just barely escape to begin their quest. On their journeys, they meet a (burrowing owl) named Digger; a (great gray owl) named Twilight; and Soren's old nestmaid, a (snake) named Mrs. P. They join Soren with the promise of leading him to the Sea of Hoolemere, the location of the Great Tree and the home of the Guardians. Soren and his allies are mobbed by (crows) on the way to the Sea and they nearly lose Twilight's lute, in which Mrs. P is riding. The battle brings them to the shore of the Sea of Hoolemere and the home of an (echidna) mystic. The crows deliberately led them to the meeting so that the Echidna could give them their bearings to the Great Tree. Far out over the ocean the group encounters a fierce hurricane, and Digger falls towards the sea. Soren dives to save him, only to find Digger being rescued by an enormous (snowy owl) with an armored mask - a Guardian of Ga'hoole. The Guardian leads Soren and his friends through the storm to the Great Tree.

Digger's saviors are Boron and Barran, the king and the queen of the Tree. The king and queen, as well as the ranking officers of Ga'hoole, hear Soren's tale. The search-and-rescue squadron leader, a (great gray owl) named Allomere, expresses doubts about Soren's story. But battle-scarred (whiskered screech owl) Ezylryb (Geoffrey Rush) defends Soren. Boron decides to send a scouting party, led by Allomere, to St. Aegolious. Soren, Gylfie, Twilight, and Digger begin their training in the different trades of the Tree. During one lesson, Ezylryb takes them out to learn how to "really fly," using a powerful storm to teach the young owls how to use the wind currents instead of fighting them. Soren briefly masters the technique of flying by instinct, only to lose control and to be saved by Ezylryb. After the lesson, Soren converses with Ezylryb in his hollow tree and learns that Ezylryb is, in fact, Lyze of Kiel. Soren is disillusioned with the seemingly heroic stories when he sees his hero's disfigurements and hears that the battle in the stories wasn't as heroic as he thought.

Allomere returns without his scouts. He tells King Boron that they were ambushed; that the scouts were killed; and that he barely managed to return with two moon-blinked owlets. One of the moon-blinked owlets is Eglantine, who was kidnapped by Kludd. Outraged, the Guardians go to war. At the urging of Ezlyryb, Soren reluctantly stays to tend to Eglantine. She soon awakes, but with shocking news: she wasn't rescued, but given to Allomere by Kludd. Allomere is revealed to be a traitor, and Soren and his friends rush to the Guardians' aid. When the Guardians arrive at St. Aegolious, they are drawn into a trap. Allomere peels off at the last moment and the Pure Ones unleash the power of the flecks against the Guardians, leaving the owls helpless on the ground. Soren and his friends arrive minutes too late, just as Metal Beak and Nyra send the bats to finish off the defenseless Guardians. Soren sends Twilight, Digger and Gylfie to hold back the bats. He plunges into the burning forest fire, carrying an oil lamp that becomes engulfed in flames after flying through the fire. The band's arrival causes Metal Beak to distrust Allomere. Believing that he has been betrayed, Metal Beak orders a group of bats to viciously kill Allomere.

Soren plunges into the flecks' magnetic field to drop the flaming oil lamp on the mechanism which holds open the lids over the flecks. The fire spreads across the machine and burns through the ropes. The lids slam down, freeing the Guardians. With his plan disrupted, Metal Beak orders the Pure Ones to fight the Guardians. Ezylryb and Metal Beak square off, as do Soren and Kludd. Their fight leads to them ending up in the burning forest. Soren tries to talk some sense into Kludd, who tells his younger brother that the Pure Ones believed in him when no one else did. He attacks Soren with renewed vigor, sending them both tumbling over a fallen tree and causing Kludd to break a wing. He convinces Soren to save him, only to attempt to pull his younger brother into the flames. Soren dodges the attack, and Kludd falls into the flames instead.

Soren sees that Ezylryb, Metal Beak, and Nyra are engaged in fierce combat. Filled with rage, he snaps off a burning branch and flies off to help Ezylryb. He takes Metal Beak by surprise, arriving in time to save Ezylryb. Metal Beak easily overpowers Soren and throws his branch away. Soren regains his weapon, just as Metal Beak moves in for the kill. Metal Beak impales himself on the branch, and Nyra retreats with the remaining Pure Ones. Soren and his friends return to the Great Tree with the owlets, and Soren is greeted by Eglantine and his parents. Soren, Gylfie, Twilight, and Digger are made Guardians of Ga'Hoole. In the epilogue, Soren reveals that Kludd's body was never found and Nyra is still out there with a contingent of Pure Ones. Kludd is then shown to be alive, now with the glowing red eyes of the other Pure Ones. He walks around and stares down at Metal Beak's body and mask, hinting at a sequel with Kludd as the new Metal Beak. After being interrupted by an owlet ,Soren says he doesn't want to give him daymares. Ezylyryb insists on taking flight, so they all fly across the sea.

This is a best animation which i have missed last year in cinema. The movie is great - storyline, graphic, music and the casting.... The owls are so cute... make me feel like i wanna get one for my hse too~ lol.

I believe there will be a sequence of this movie since they are grossing quite well last year. Hope to see it soon :)

Story:

A devastating flood strikes London when the Thames Barrier is overwhelmed by a huge surge of water. A storm surge travels between the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, raising sea levels and coinciding with the spring tide. Several parts of Scotland are devastated, including Wick. The Met Office's head forecaster, Keith Hopkins, mistakenly believes the storm will head towards Holland and is guilt-ridden after Professor Leonard Morrison proves that the approaching surge of water will break through the Thames Barrier and flood central London. Leonard had focused his life around the belief that the barrier was built in the wrong area, and turned his now apologetic son Rob into a bitter man.

Deputy Prime Minister Campbell, in charge while the prime minister is away, declares a state of emergency. He begins to evacuate civilians from London before the water hits. He is assisted by Police Commissioner Patricia Nash, Major General Ashcroft and others. The water overwhelms the barrier. Rob and his wife Sam, both expert engineers, jump into the Thames to escape. Leonard is saved by a military helicopter and taken to Whitehall, where the authority figures desperately require his assistance in finding a way to handle this emergency. Rob and Sam end up in the London Underground with other survivors. They are led to higher ground by two underground workers, Bill and Zack, but a fast-moving current of water kills Bill. The group find themselves in the flooded Trafalgar Square, where Rob and Sam are able to contact Leonard. They end up returning with him to the barrier, where Leonard believes the water flow can be reversed back out of London. The military's Ashcroft disagrees and prepares to destroy the barrier with an air strike. Hopkins, feeling even more guilty when thousands corpses are shown on a news report, quietly disappears and is later reported by Ashcroft to be dead, an apparent suicide. Nash is at odds with Ashcroft, wanting to give the Morrisons a chance to remedy the situation, while also distraught over her own two missing daughters.

Rob, Sam and Leonard discover the controls to the barrier are now underwater. One can activate them, but likely will not survive the effort. Rob and Sam try to decide which of them should go when Leonard leaves on the suicide mission behind their backs. He runs out of air whilst underwater and drowns, but saves London as a result.

Seriously, this is the most yawn yawn disaster movie i ever watch !!! I mean, usually those disaster movie is kinda boring in the beginning and lots of bullshit~ but when it come to the middle part, everything will spice up ur fucking spine bone.

But this~ the movie begins with the disaster of two old ladies getting wipe away by the flood...thoughts its good... but as the movie went on... i started to loss my focus and rather play angry bird~ 2.5 is for the 2 aunties who has a bit "over" expression when get hit by the water !

The Fog 2005

Story:

In 1871, a group of men from Antonio Bay (off the coast of Oregon), conspire to mislead and murder the crew of the Elizabeth Dane, a clipper ship sailing from Alaska. The Dane is carrying a group of lepers seeking sanctuary, and is captained by William Blake. Blake is a wealthy man infected with leprosy who made an agreement with the islanders to buy half of Antonio Bay for use as a leper colony. However, when four of the islanders meet with Blake onboard the Dane to complete the deal, the islanders double-cross the lepers, loot the ship and then set it on fire, killing everyone onboard including Blake and his wife.

134 years later, in the present day, a young woman named Elizabeth Williams returns to her family home on Antonio Bay after a six month absence. Her arrival coincides with the unveiling ceremony of a new statue outside the island's town hall, dedicated to the four "founding fathers" of the community. A series of bizarre events then occur as several items (including an antique watch and an antique hairbrush) are washed up on the beach, a strange symbol depicting a set of scales begins to appear all over town, and several gruesome deaths take place. After almost drowning in a harbor boathouse, Elizabeth inadvertently finds an old diary buried in the wall of the boathouse. The diary belonged to Patrick Malone, the great-great-grandfather of Father Malone, the town's current priest. Patrick Malone was also one of the founding fathers of Antonio Bay, and one of the men who conspired to murder the crew of the Elizabeth Dane in 1871. The wealth that was stolen from the Dane then allowed the town to be built and the island to become the thriving community that it is today.

This series of events is accompanied by the arrival of a mysterious supernatural fog that rolls in from the sea and envelops the island. The fog brings with it the ghostly crew of the Elizabeth Dane, who have risen up from their watery grave to take revenge on the town for what its "founding fathers" did to them over a century earlier.

Basically, this is a remake of the same name movie from 1980. The only best part which keep my eyes open is Tom Welling & Maggie Grace showering each other and caressing each other body.

The rest such as the priest surrounded by flying glasses which kills him look kinda fake; too much screaming in this film and it is quite annoying; the ghost is stupid, i dun knw why they appear at all~

Yeah~ the 4 marks is for Tom Welling and Maggie Grace !!!

Anaconda: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid

Story:

A team of researchers sets off into a jungle in Padrang - Borneo, Indonesia to search for a "blood orchid", a flower they believe can be used as a type of fountain of youth. Though their guide Bill Johnson has misgivings about which path to take, Jack Byron bribes him to take the path he doesn't think is safe. The team ends up going over a waterfall and having to wade through the river. A giant anaconda emerges from the water and swallows Dr. Ben Douglas whole, while the rest of the team escapes the river. Bill tries to assure them that it was the largest snake he's ever seen and that it should take weeks' for it to grow hungry again, however most of the team demands that the expedition be called off.

They decide to travel to Bill's friend John Livingston who lives on the river to see if he can borrow his boat and his whale. While traveling to the boat, Bill tells Sam about Byron bribing him into taking the unsafe route. Along the way, Bill finds an infestation of leeches on Cole's back and burns all of them with his lighter while Tran finds a poisonous spider in Gordon's shoe. Byron decides to take the spider along for further study and then everyone resumes the journey to the boat.

However, Livingston is killed by another anaconda and his boat crashes into the riverbank. The team sees an explosion and finds the boat wrecked and are disappointed for losing their chance for escape from the jungle and find only a few essentials for their quest. While continuing their journey, they find Livingston's chewed up corpse. Bill realizes that it must be mating season, which means all of the male anacondas come out of their territories to find the nearest female in its mating pit.

They find themselves in a small native village consisting of thatched huts where a disemboweled anaconda with a pair of human legs hanging out of the snake's abdomen is displayed. The team speculates that the snakes are unusually large in size because their lives have been extended through the orchids, which are a part of the local food chain. Byron says that since they must be close to the orchids, they should press on. However the others contend that there is no evidence that the orchids will have the same effect on humans and still want to leave, so they start building an escape raft.

Meanwhile, Gordon discovers that Byron had secretly obtained Livingston's private case containing a radio and a gun and realizes he could have called for help long ago. When Byron is unable to convince him to allow the expedition to continue, he paralyzes him using the spider. As Byron joins the others at the raft, Sam discovers a paralyzed Gordon and notices the spider bite on his arm. An anaconda drops down from the rafters and swallows Gordon alive soon after she leaves the building. The others arrive just as it finishes, so Bill sets the building on fire. Byron uses the commotion to steal the raft.

With no more material to make another raft, they decide to bushwack through the jungle to beat Byron to the orchids and get back their raft. On the way they fall into a cave trying to escape an anaconda. Cole gets lost and panics after finding a skeleton. He runs into Tran. Together they make their way back to the others. Along the way, Tran is eaten by an anaconda. The terrified Cole manage to make their way back to the team, escaping the caves behind them seconds ahead of the snake. It follows them through the hole, and attacks them. Sam uses a machete to behead the snake, but Cole is captured by another giant anaconda. The team follows and find him being constricted, but still alive. Bill throws his knife and impales the snake through the head, killing it and freeing Cole.

The group finds the raft just as Byron finds the blood orchids, hanging precariously above a pit in which a ball of male anacondas are mating with the female. Byron shoots Bill in the arm, and forces the party to accompany him to the orchids. He has Sam cross the pit via a thin log to fill a backpack with orchids. As she makes her way back, the log starts to crack. Byron orders her to throw him the backpack, but Sam counters to threaten to drop the flowers into the pit unless he drops the gun. The log breaks and she falls, landing halfway down the pit. As the others help her climb out, Byron tries to get the backpack. The spider he used to paralyze Gordon escapes its jar and bites him. Bryon falls into the pit and is devoured, as Sam and the others escape.

The female anaconda notices them, but Gail tricks it into biting their fuel container. Bill tries to shoot the container, but the gun is empty. Cole shoots it with a flare, causing a chain reaction that kills the snakes, along with all the blood orchids as well. Bill, Sam, Cole, Gail, and Bill's pet monkey Kong make it back to the raft and leave. As they set off with their raft, Bill suggests another shortcut, but the others suggest that they won't take the shortcut.

Johnny Messner & Karl Yune are such a hottie, can't leave my eyes from them the whole time until i don't remember the storyline~ lol. Well, the whole movie has gross more than $70,000,000 which is a big things for them. But seriously, i still prefer the first movie with JLo in it~ :)
