Story:
Hua is restricted by her father to meet her lover, she started to write her novel . When her father passed away, she was released and moved away from the mansion. She got a fans Chai who admired her and came to look for her. Both of them fell in love.
Together with Hua's best friend Feng, 3 of them live like a family. But sad thing happened when communist war started. All the China people try to run away from the country, Hua was offered a ship ticket but she gave it to Chai and let him escaped.
Years later, Chai came back but just to find out Hua has already passed away.

No doubt that this is the best love story ever in that period. The most touching part is the one when everyone is rushing to go on the ship, Bridget sacrifice herself and send her lover on board instead, i cried a few times on it. Of course this film has won the Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Movie, Best Director and many more in multiples award...
