 Story: 

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, InGen has opened a fully functional replacement called "Jurassic World" on Isla Nublar. Brothers Zach and Gray Mitchell are sent to visit their aunt, Claire Dearing, the park's operations manager. Claire's assistant Zara is their guide, as Claire is too busy recruiting more corporate sponsors with bigger dinosaur attractions to maintain the park's attendance. To that purpose, InGen's geneticists have created a new genetically-modified dinosaur called Indominus rex made from DNA of several predatory dinosaurs, as well as modern-day animals like cuttlefish and tree frogs. Dr. Henry Wu, the park's chief geneticist, keeps the exact combination a secret. Simon Masrani, the park's owner, wants Velociraptor trainer and researcher, Owen Grady, to review the Indominus‍ '​ enclosure before the exhibit opens to the public. Owen and Claire, who dated one time but clashed over Claire's controlling nature and Owen's irreverent personality, inspect the exhibit together. Owen warns Claire that the Indominus is extremely dangerous because it has never been socialized to other dinosaurs.

Vic Hoskins, head of InGen security, believes the park's four velociraptors can be trained for military use, but Owen argues that his being the raptors' alpha does not mean they are tamed or controllable. At the Indominus enclosure, Owen and Claire discover that the Indominus has seemingly scaled the wall and escaped. Owen and two other staff enter the enclosure, but the Indominus ambushes them, having faked its escape. It kills both staff before escaping into the jungle, though Owen survives.

Masrani sends armed security to capture the Indominus, but after it kills most of the team, Claire orders an evacuation. Meanwhile, Gray and Zach, having sneaked away to explore on their own, ignore the evacuation order and wander into a forested area in a gyrosphere. The Indominus attacks and destroys the vehicle, but the boys survive. Traveling on foot, they find the ruins of the original Jurassic Park Visitor Center. After repairing an old Jeep, they drive back to the main park. Owen and Claire, searching for them, trail the boys back to the park after barely surviving the Indominus themselves. The Indominus continues its rampage, killing several Apatosaurus and smashing into the park's pterosaur aviary. Masrani and two soldiers hunt the Indominus in a helicopter, but escaped pterosaurs attack it, resulting in it crashing, killing everyone aboard. Gray and Zach arrive at the main park as the pterosaurs begin attacking the visitors, killing Zara in the mayhem. Owen and Claire find Gray and Zach, while armed troops subdue the pterosaurs.

Hoskins assumes command and decides to use the velociraptors to track and kill the Indominus; Owen reluctantly agrees with the plan. The velociraptors follow the Indominus‍ '​ scent into the jungle, and Owen and several InGen soldiers launch an attack. However, because Indominus has raptor DNA, it can communicate with the velociraptors, and turns them against the soldiers. Owen rekindles his bond with one, but soldiers kill it. Meanwhile, Hoskins has Dr. Wu helicoptered off the island with dinosaur embryos, protecting his research. Owen, Claire, Zach, and Gray find Hoskins in the lab packing up the remaining dinosaur embryos. As Hoskins reveals he had intended all along to create genetically-modified dinosaurian super-weapons, he is killed by a raptor.

Owen leads Claire, Zach, and Gray outside, where the other raptors confront them. Owen reestablishes his bond with them before the Indominus appears. The raptors align with Owen and attack the Indominus, resulting in them being killed. Knowing they are outmatched, Claire lures the park's veteran Tyrannosaurus rex into a fight with the Indominus. The T. rex is overpowered until the reappearance of the lone surviving raptor, "Blue". The two dinosaurs force the overwhelmed Indominus towards the lagoon, where the resident Mosasaurus drags it underwater. The T. rex departs, with Blue following. The next day, the survivors are evacuated to Costa Rica. Zach and Gray are reunited with their parents while Owen and Claire decide to stay together.

After 14 years, finally Jurassic is back on blockbuster! The first 2 movies were directed by Stephen Spielberg which has mark the standard so high and cause the 3rd movie to slight down when it was directed by Joe Johnston during 2001. As for Colin Trevorrow, I'm not sure about his work, but he makes a quite impressive on this film.

This time, the scientist came out a new species of dinosaur which is so powerful that the brain is so much better than the rest. Of course, the worst part would be what has been discussed wildly on the internet now, is the high heel that Bryce Dallas Howard wore to run in the whole movie~ Another funny thing is during the end, when the "original species" of dino joint venture to attack the indominus rex and how the main actor can control the raptors as well~

Journey to the Center of the Earth 2008

 Story:

In the opening scene, Max Anderson is being pursued by a dinosaur, a Giganotosaurus. Max then comes across a fissure vent. When he tries to jump across, he falls to his death while calling out the name of his brother. Ten years later, Max's brother volcanologist Trevor Anderson is visited by Max's son/Trevor's 13-year-old nephew Sean Anderson. In a box of items that belonged to Max is a book, Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. Notes written by Max are found inside the book.

In Trevor's volcanology laboratory, a device shows activity on Snæfell, a dormant volcano in Iceland. Trevor and Sean travel to Iceland to investigate. They try to contact Icelandic volcanologist Sigurbjörn Ásgeirsson, but instead encounter his daughter Hannah Ásgeirsson, her father having died some years earlier.[3] It turns out that Sigurbjörn and Max were both Vernians, a group of people who believe the works of Jules Verne to be fact, not fiction.

Hannah offers to help them climb the volcano. While the group is hiking up the volcano, a lightning storm forces them to take shelter in a cave. The cave entrance collapses, leaving them trapped in what appears to be an abandoned mine. They reach the bottom of a volcanic vent, the floor of the vent breaks, and they begin to fall towards the center of the Earth. The volcanic vent eventually becomes a water slide which drops them safely into a lake in the center of the Earth, which turns out to be a completely separate world contained within the Earth. Hannah is seen sinking because her pack was too heavy. She's later saved by Trevor.

The group starts seeking a way back to the surface. Along the way, they find evidence that someone had been there a hundred years ago. Trevor remarks that some instruments found are Lidenbrock's (the name of a character in Jules Verne's book Journey to the Center of the Earth). This suggests that another group had previously made the journey, somehow returned to the surface and recounted the tale of their adventure to Verne. They find some of Max's things as well.

While Trevor and Sean are examining what they've found, Hannah discovers Max's body. They bury Max on the beach of the underground ocean and Trevor reads a letter to Sean found in Max's journal. Trevor discovers that his brother died due to dehydration because of hot magma surrounding the center of the Earth.

Using information from Max's journal, Trevor determines that they must find a geyser that can send them to the surface before the temperature rises to 200 °F (about 93 °C). Further, they must reach the geyser within 48 hours or the water for the geyser will have evaporated. They build a raft and begin crossing the underground ocean, but soon encounter a pack of Xiphactinus. They use makeshift clubs to bat them away, then a shoal of Elasmosaurus attacks the Xiphactinus. The raft's sail becomes loose. Sean tries to hold on, but is blown away and separated from the two adults.

A little bird guides Sean towards the river. Meanwhile, Trevor and Hannah decide to take a rest, but are attacked by carnivorous plants. Hannah is captured and being strangled by the plants. Trevor defeats the plant that is holding Hannah by the neck, and they continue towards the geyser.

When they arrive at the river Trevor calls out to Sean but gets no response. Trevor says he is going to look for Sean, but tells Hannah she should continue on to the geyser and save herself. Meanwhile, Sean has entered an arid, bone-filled land. He hears roars, looks up and sees a Giganotosaurus coming after him. Trevor saves him. When they get to a river, they find Hannah sailing a boat fashioned from a Giganotosaurus skull. They sail to a volcano with magma rising in its crater. They are too late; the water needed for the geyser has evaporated.

Sean notices that the crater walls are wet. Trevor hears water flowing on the other side of the walls and sees that the crater walls contain magnesium. After Trevor uses a flare to ignite the magnesium, a geyser shoots them up and out of the Center of the Earth. They emerge in Italy from Mount Vesuvius. When they fall, they accidentally destroy a vineyard. To make amends, Sean gives the owner a diamond that he found while in the Center of the Earth. Trevor sees that Sean has many more diamonds in his backpack. Trevor later uses them to fund his late brother's laboratory.

During the adventure, Hannah and Trevor gradually become closer and eventually share a kiss. After the adventure, Sean visits Trevor and Hannah in their new home purchased using some of the diamonds Sean took from the cave. Trevor hands Sean a book about another strange land, Atlantis: The Antediluvian World by Ignatius L. Donnelly, and suggests they get together during Sean's Christmas break. Sean reveals that he has brought the little bird back from the center of the Earth to keep as a pet. However, the bird flies away ending the movie.

I always think that this movie is much more fun and excited to watch than the Journey 2, which was lead by Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson as well. Its not because of Brendan Fraser, but overall the storyline was very interesting and kinda new for me... even though this is not the first time they shot this movie (same name with the fiction).

King Kong 2005

Story:

In 1933, New York City vaudeville actress, Ann Darrow is hired by troubled filmmaker Carl Denham to star in his new movie with popular actor Bruce Baxter. Ann agrees when she learns her favorite playwright Jack Driscoll is the screenwriter. As the SS Venture sails to mysterious Skull Island, Ann and Driscoll fall in love. A warrant is out for Denham's arrest and Captain Englehorn begins having second thoughts about the trip. Despite his attempt to turn around, the ship is lost in fog and crashes into rocks encircling the island.

Denham and the crew explore the island and are attacked by its natives, who later kidnap Ann to sacrifice her to their god "Kong". Kong, a giant ape, takes Ann to his lair in the island's interior. As the filmmakers and the ship's crew search the island for Ann, they battle numerous dinosaurs, giant invertebrates, and other deadly and exotic dangers. Although the rescuers suffer many casualties, Denham wants to both rescue Ann and capture Kong as a way to save his job.

In Kong's lair, Ann is frightened of the ape at first but realizes that he is gentle and curious about her. She entertains Kong with juggling and dancing from the theater; they watch the sunset together; and she attempts to communicate with him using sign language. Driscoll interrupts Ann's befriending of the ape, and the ship's crew traps Kong as he chases them. Although Ann opposes Denham's plan, the ape is subdued with chloroform for the trip to New York, and Denham promises the crew that Kong will make them all rich.

Denham presents Kong — the Eighth Wonder of the World on Broadway, starring Baxter and an imprisoned Kong. Ann refuses to participate in the show, which sensationally recreates Kong's capture. Kong becomes enraged when he sees that the lead actress is not Ann, then breaks his chains after camera flashes anger him further. As the audience flees, Kong destroys the theater and wreaks havoc in Times Square before Driscoll lures Kong away. The ape and Ann reunite momentarily in Central Park, but they are interrupted by the military.

Kong climbs the Empire State Building with Ann in his grasp. Observing the dawn, Kong repeats the sign for "beautiful" that she used in his lair, causing Ann to realize his intelligence. Before she can attempt further communication, they are attacked. Kong battles the Army's Curtiss Helldivers on the summit of the observation spire. He is hit by several bursts of gunfire, and gazes at a distraught Ann before falling to his death. As Driscoll comforts Ann, hundreds of people run to Kong's body. A man tells Denham that the airplanes killed him, but he replies, "It wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast."

L² Comment:

I never failed to watch this kind of epic film in the cinema. It was nice and exciting to watch it in the cinema with all those good sound systems and environment. Rewatching this film is a bit dragging for me actually, a film with 187 minutes, lol~ 3 hours~ gosh !!!

A remake of the same movie film 1933 (please dont confuse it with the 1976 version), Peter Jackson has managed to drag this film to another 1 more hour which is a bit boring at the beginning of the film.

The best part for me will be the time when King Kong fought with 2 dinos to save Naomi from getting eat up~ The giant insects are not bad too, and of coz yummy Adrien Brody is the main reason i rewatch this film~ :)

Jurassic Park 3

Story:

In the beginning of the film, a boy named Eric Kirby and his soon-to-be stepfather, Ben Hildebrand, go parasailing near Isla Sorna with a "DINO-SOAR" Parasail. Meanwhile, the boat's crew disappear (presumably killed by a swimming dinosaur). Ben and Eric crash on the island. Scientists Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler have continued their paleontological careers but are working independently. Ellie is married and has two children while Grant is still digging with his protégé, Billy Brennan. Grant is approached by Paul and Amanda Kirby who pretend to be wealthy and desire to tour Isla Sorna. Having chartered a plane, they want Grant to be their guide. He is reluctant at first, but eventually agrees after the Kirbys offer to fund his dig.

Grant suspects that something is not quite right when the plane carrying him, Billy, the Kirbys, and a trio of mercenaries, Udesky, Cooper, and M.B. Nash, begins to land. After Amanda uses a megaphone to call out to her son in the jungle, a roar is heard followed by several gunshots. Nash and Udesky emerge shouting they have to leave. The plane starts down the runway when Cooper suddenly appears, begging them to stop. Suddenly, a huge spinosaurus seizes him in its jaws and kills him. As it leaves the ground, the plane grazes the Spinosaurus, sending it out of control into the jungle and stranded up a tree. The Spinosaurus attacks again, tearing off the front of the cockpit, seizing Nash and devouring him. The plane remnant falls to the ground where Grant, Billy, Paul, Amanda, and Udesky are once again assaulted by the persistent spinosaurus. They finally escape when the dinosaur gets it head stuck between two trees. But their luck turns sour again as they blunder into a Tyrannosaurus eating a fresh kill. Disturbed, it pursues them back into the jungle where the Spinosaurus suddenly reappears. The two theropods engage in battle, with the Spinosaurus emerging victorious. The survivors slip away in the meantime. Grant learns that the Kirbys are actually searching for their son, Eric, who was stranded on the island along with Amanda's fiancé, Ben, in a parasailing accident eight weeks earlier. He decides to lead them to the coast, increasing their chances of rescue. Along the way, they discover the parasail, as well as Ben's skeletal remains. Billy salvages the parasail, and the Kirbys discover several nearby velociraptors nests.

The group then explores the abandoned InGen compound where they are attacked by a male Velociraptor. As they flee, the rest of the raptor pack joins in the pursuit and Udesky gets separated from the others and is attacked by the alpha female raptor. The rest take refuge in the trees. Amanda tries to help Udesky and is nearly ambushed by raptors who have set a trap. Failing at this, a male raptor finishes Udesky by snapping his neck killing him. Grant is separated from the group and nearly killed when Eric arrives and rescues him from several raptors with smoke bombs. He has survived on the island since the accident, living in an abandoned water truck. The following morning while trekking through the jungle, Eric recognizes the ringtone of his father's portable phone. The groups reunite, separated by a high barrier fence. Paul, puzzled at Eric's explanation as to how he detected them, points out the cell phone was lost when he gave it to Nash (who was eaten by the Spinosaurus). The ringing is heard again and the group spots the spinosaurus nearby which appears on Eric and Alan's side of the fence. The two run in panic and by a stroke of luck find a hole in the fence which they dive through. The survivors are reunited, but not giving up, the spinosaurus crashes through the fence and chases them until they find shelter in another building. Grant now discovers Billy has stolen two Velociraptor eggs. About to drop them in the river, he hesitates. "What will happen if they catch us with the eggs?" Grant responds, "What will happen if they catch us without them?"

To reach a boat docked in a nearby river, the group must pass through a massive aviary dome where they are attacked by pteranodons. Using the parasail he salvaged, Billy rescues Eric from a nest of Pteranodon infants, but is attacked and overwhelmed by several adults. The rest of the group assumes he is dead. The group escapes, but the dome's door is left ajar. The party finds the boat and while navigating down the river hear a phone ringing. This leads them to a dung pile containing the satellite phone the Spinosaurus had eaten from the plane, which they are forced to sift through in order to recover it. A ceratosaurus appears and nearly attacks, but backs off at the last moment upon smelling the dung which it knows marks the territory of another predator. As the gang travels down the river, the spinosaurus emerges from the water and attacks. Grant attempts to call Ellie on the satellite phone, but is dragged beneath the surface and can only yell "The river! Site B! The river!". Paul climbs to the top of a nearby crane to distract the monster, and Grant shoots a flare which ignites the oil that has spilled from the boat, scaring away the dinosaur.

The group is close to shore when raptors reappear, wanting their eggs back. Avoiding any sudden movement, the eggs are taken out and carefully placed on the ground. Two raptors gently take them away. The remaining raptors appear on the verge of attack when Grant imitates a Velociraptor call on a special pipe, one which replicates a raptor's resonating chamber like the one that Billy had rapid prototyped earlier in the film. Disconcerted, the raptors retreat. At the beach, United States Marine Corps helicopters and infantry arrive. The party boards a helicopter and Grant encounters Billy who was injured during the Pteranodon attack. As the helicopter departs, three Pteranodons are seen flying off in the distance. Eric asks Grant where they might be going and Grant speculates they are searching for new nesting grounds. Paul is glad that they're finally going home, and the film ends as the pteranodons fly off into the clouds.

This is horrible, i should say terrible if compare to the 1st two movie. There's nothing special about this. Heard that Jurassic Park 4 is coming in 2012, is it real? I'm not sure, hope that its not as suck as this.

Walking With Dinosaurs

Episode 1: "New Blood"

220 million years ago − Late Triassic − Arizona, New Mexico
The episode followed a female Coelophysis as she tried to survive in the dry season. The Coelophysis was shown hunting a herd of Placerias (mammal-like reptile), looking for weak members to prey upon. Early pterosaurs (specifically Peteinosaurus) were featured, depicted cooling themselves in what little water was present during the drought. A female rauisuchian (Postosuchus, one of the largest carnivores alive in the Triassic) was shown following the Placerias herd, and kills one of the members who had earlier been bitten by her and weakened by blood loss. Still searching for food, the Coelophysis are shown discovering a burrow of the small mammal-like cynodont. Eventually, one young cynodont strays too close and is eaten and the father attempts to protect the youngster, but to no avail. At night, the pair of cynodonts are shown eating their remaining young, then moving away. The female Postosuchus is later shown to have been wounded by Placerias's tusks (the wound is on her left thigh), and is beaten out of her territory by a rival male Postosuchus. Wounded, sick and without a territory, the female dies and is eaten by a pack of Coelophysis. As the dry season continues however, food becomes scarce and the Coelophysis start killing and cannibalizing each other. Finally, the wet season comes again, and the majority of the Coelophysis have survived, along with the cynodont pair, who have a new clutch of eggs. The episode ends with the arrival of a herd of the prosauropod Plateosaurus, foreshadowing the future dominance of giant sauropods after the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event.

Episode 2: "Time of the Titans"

152 million years ago - Late Jurassic - Colorado
This episode followed the life of a young female herbivorous Diplodocus. After hatching at the forest edge, she and her siblings retreat to the safety of the denser trees. As they grow, they face many dangers, including predation by Ornitholestes and Allosaurus, and a Stegosaurus, which kills one by accident while swinging its tail. Close to adulthood, the group of young Diplodocus are nearly all killed by a huge forest fire and fire storm that night, leaving three, then two survivors including the female. They are driven out onto the open plains, where they find a herd. The protagonist female mates, but not long afterwards is attacked by a bull Allosaurus. She is saved when another Diplodocus strikes the allosaur with its tail. In the end, her species will only get bigger.

Episode 3: "Cruel Sea"

149 million years ago - Late Jurassic - Oxfordshire
The ichthyosaur Ophthalmosaurus breeding ceremony is the main event of the episode, but sharks and other predators, including the pliosaur Liopleurodon, are on the hunt. The opening portrays a Liopleurodon snatching a Eustreptospondylus (dinosaur) from the land, but there is no evidence of this ever occurring (according to the producers, they were influenced by similar attacks by killer whales on land creatures, such as sea lions). A pod of Ophthalmosaurus arrive from the open ocean to give birth. Many of the babies slip out successfully. But when one mother has trouble giving birth, a pair of Hybodus sharks go after her, but are frightened off by a male Liopleurodon, which eats the front half of the Ophthalmosaurus, leaving the tail to sink down. Meanwhile a Eustreptospondylus swims to an island. It discovers a turtle carcass and must fight another Eustreptospondylus for it, though the fight really consists of them roaring at each other. Later during the night, a group of horseshoe crabs gather at the shore to lay their eggs, which attracts a flock of Rhamphorhynchus (pterosaur) in the morning. However two or three are caught and eaten by a Eustreptospondylus in the morning. While the Ophthalmosaurus juveniles are growing up, they are still hunted by Hybodus, which in turn, are prey for the Liopleurodon. While the male Liopleurodon is hunting for prey, he is encountered by a female Liopleurodon, and after biting one of her flippers, she retires to escape. In the end of the episode, a typhoon kills many animals, including a Rhamphorhynchus, and washes the Liopleurodon ashore. He is then suffocated by his own weight and is eaten by a pair of Eustreptospondylus. The episode, however, ends on a more positive note, as it shows that the juvenile Ophthalmosaurus have survived the storm, and are now off to live and breed in the open sea.

Episode 4: "Giant of the Skies"

127 million years ago - Early Cretaceous - Brazil, North America, England, Spain
The story begins with a male Ornithocheirus (pterosaur) dead on a beach. It then goes back six months to Brazil, where the Ornithocheirus flies off for Cantabria among a colony of Tapejara (pterosaur). He flies past a migrating column of Iguanodon and a Polacanthus (all herbivorous dinosaurs). He reaches the southern tip of North America, where he is forced to shelter from a storm. To pass the time, he grooms himself, ridding his body of Saurophthirus fleas. Then he sets off across the Atlantic, which was then only 300 kilometers wide and, after a whole day on the wing, reaches the westernmost of the European islands. He does not rest there however, as a pack of Utahraptor are hunting Iguanodon. He flies to the outskirts of a forest, but is driven away by Iberomesornis birds. He reaches Cantabria, but was delayed by the storm and cannot reach the center of the many grounded male Ornithocheirus. Consequently, he does not mate and dies from exhaustion. In the end, a young Ornithocheirus is seen feeding on his carcass.

Episode 5: "Spirits of the Ice Forest"

106 million years ago - Early Cretaceous - Antarctica
This episode focuses upon a clan of herbivorous Leaellynasaura as they struggle to survive in the south polar region over the course of a year. During the spring, they are shown feeding on the fresh plant growth and building nests so they can lay their eggs. A male amphibian Koolasuchus has also woken up from hibernation, heading to a river where he will stay during the summer. Out on the plains, migrating herds of herbivorous Muttaburrasaurus are also preparing for the winter. By summer, many of the Leaellynasaura clan's eggs are eaten, but those of the matriarch hatch successfully. A male Allosaur is shown hunting the Leaellynasaura and Muttaburrasaurus, but fails. The Leaellynasaura clan continue to prepare for the winter, as well as raising the young that have now grown. When autumn arrives, the Muttaburrasaurus herd soon head back north, and the Koolasuchus finds a place to hibernate through the winter. However, the male Allosaur manages to catch and kill the matriarch of the clan, and only one of the hatchlings survived. Winter finally arrives, and the forest descends into the eternal darkness that envelops the months that will go by. The Leaellynasaura clan are able to stay active, using their beaks and eyes to forage for food. During this time, the clan and other fauna use various methods of dealing with the cold such as suspended animation, hibernation or using group body temperature to maintain heat. Finally, spring returns, and two Leaellynasaura males challenge one another for the right to mate, and after a short confrontation, the clan establishes a dominant pair once again.

Episode 6: "Death of a Dynasty"

65.5 million years ago - Late Cretaceous - Montana
This episode starts months before the extinction of the dinosaurs. The last dinosaurs are depicted living under stress due to excessive volcanism. The episode focuses on a female 14 metre long Tyrannosaurus who abandons her nest, the eggs rendered infertile due to volcanic poisoning. Her calls for a mate are answered by a smaller male who has killed a young Triceratops and is eating it. Later, after repeated copulation, she eventually drives him off. The mother fasts for an extended period as she tends to her nest, dealing with raids by dromaeosaurs and marsupial Didelphodons. Only three eggs hatch and the mother brings down an hadrosaurid Anatotitan to feed herself and her brood. While defending her two surviving offspring several days later, the mother tyrannosaur is fatally injured by an Ankylosaurus. The chicks remain next to the carcass of their mother until they, and the rest of the non-avian dinosaurs, are killed when an asteroid slams into the Earth, a catastrophe that triggers the K-T extinction. A short final sequence shows the present-day Earth, dominated by large mammals, but still populated with numerous dinosaurs known as birds.

Story:

Four years after the incident at Jurassic Park, John Hammond has lost control of InGen to his nephew, Peter Ludlow. Ian Malcolm violated his non-disclosure agreement and went public about the events, but few believed him and threats of legal action prevented him from producing any evidence, leaving his academic reputation destroyed. One day, Hammond summons Malcolm to his home and tells him about "Site B," located on Isla Sorna, where the dinosaurs were actually engineered, before being sent to Isla Nublar when mature. The island was abandoned after a hurricane wiped out most of the facilities, and the creatures were left there to live wild. Hammond asks Malcolm to help him stop Ludlow from using Site B to bail out the bankrupt InGen, and to help him convince environmentalists to leave the island as a nature preserve. Malcolm initially refuses, but agrees to go after learning that his girlfriend, paleontologist Sarah Harding is already there.

Malcolm is joined by Eddie Carr, an engineer who built the group's custom vehicles, and Nick Van Owen, documentary producer and environmentalist. Shortly after arriving on the island, they encounter a Stegosaurus herd and meet Sarah. When they return to camp, they find Kelly, Malcolm's daughter, was accidentally locked in one of the vehicles while visiting him before departure and looking around. Malcolm tries to contact the boat to take them home, but they are interrupted by the arrival of an InGen team sent by and joined by Ludlow. The rival team quickly captures samples of several species, including Parasaurolophus, Stegosaurus, Gallimimus, Pachycephalosaurus, Triceratops, and a swarm of Compsognathus, pointed out by paleontologist, Dr. Robert Burke. That night, Nick and Sarah sneak into the InGen camp to free the dinosaurs and cut the fuel lines on the vehicles. The freed dinosaurs cause a huge commotion as they escape, compounded by the exploding vehicles. Roland Tembo the leader of the InGen team, admonishes his second-in-command, Dieter Stark, for the lack of security.

Roland wishes to capture an adult male Tyrannosaurus, and creates a trap by breaking the leg of a baby T. rex so that its cries might lure its parents. When he returns to the camp, Nick frees the baby, taking it back to their trailer so Sarah can set its broken leg. The adult Tyrannosaurs come searching for their child and, after retrieving it, throws one half of the hinged trailer over a cliff with Malcolm, Nick, and Sarah inside. Eddie throws down a rope and tries to pull the trailer back up using one of the SUVs, but his SUV is attacked by the Tyrannosaurs. Eddie is torn in half and eaten. The trailer falls off the cliff, but its occupants survive by holding on to the rope, only to be rescued by Roland and the InGen team. With all of the communications equipment destroyed in the attacks, both groups team up to reach the old InGen compound's radio station, right through a Velociraptor nesting site. During the walk to the station Stark is killed by a pack of Compsognathus.

At night, the male Tyrannosaurus comes across the group's camp and pokes his head into Sarah and Kelly's tent, sniffing Sarah's jacket covered with blood from the baby's leg. One of the InGen team workers notices this and screams, waking up the rest of the group as they all begin to run, with the female Tyrannosaurus in pursuit. Dr. Burke is eaten, while hiding behind a waterfall, by the female Tyrannosaurus. After initially failing to kill the male Tyrannosaur (mainly because Nick stole the bullets from his gun), Roland uses a tranquilizer gun to knock the dinosaur out. After fleeing from the female Tyrannosaur, the InGen team passes through a field of tall grass and are picked off one-by-one by Velociraptors. Malcolm, Sarah, Nick, and Kelly pass through the field unharmed and Nick reaches the compound, but the others are attacked by three raptors and go into hiding. After a fight with the raptors, Ian, Sarah, and Kelly run towards a building where they reunite with Nick and contact a rescue helicopter. As they fly away, they see that Roland has caged the male Tyrannosaur and Ludlow preparing to ship it and the baby back to the mainland. However, Roland is depressed over Ajay's death (from the raptors) and resigns his post in InGen, declaring to Ludlow "I think I've spent enough time in the company of death." He then walks away towards a helicopter.

When the ship carrying the dinosaur arrives in San Diego, it crashes into the dock. A boarding party finds out the entire crew is dead. While searching for survivors, a guard opens the cargo hold and inadvertently releases the Tyrannosaur, which escapes into the city. Malcolm and Sarah learn that the Tyrannosaur stopped breathing due to a tranquilizer overdose, it was given amphetamines to bring it around, but not knowing the proper dosage, they administered too much and the dinosaur is out of control. Realizing that the Tyrannosaur will likely come for its infant, Malcolm and Sarah rush to the Jurassic Park amphitheater(which was Hammond's original idea before he decided to locate the park on an island) to get the baby T. rex, which had been brought in separately by plane, and during this time, the T. rex is wreaking havoc in San Diego, having eaten a fleeing civilian and a dog. They lure the adult with the baby and run back to the boat. Ludlow tries to intervene, but is trapped in the cargo hold, injured by the adult, and devoured by the baby. Malcolm and Sarah manage to tranquilize the adult before it can escape again, and seal it in the hold.

By morning, as Malcolm and Sarah fall asleep on the couch in their living room, Kelly watches television reports of the cargo ship on its way back to Site B, surrounded by a convoy of naval vessels. The program breaks away to an interview of restored InGen Chairman John Hammond, who explains that the island will now be left alone as a natural reserve so the dinosaurs can live free of human interference. He offers a quote by Malcolm, "Life will find a way." The scene cuts to Site B, where the family of Tyrannosaurs is shown reunited in the wild, alongside a herd of Stegosaurus migrating and a flock of Pteranodons flying overhead.

Not being fussy or what, but i really dont think this sequel is better than the 1st movie. Without Sam Neil, the whole movie seems lost (maybe it wanna suit the name of The Lost World? lol). For me, Jeff Goldblum is not really a good actor i must say. He seems to have the same expression through out the whole film. And Moore is kinda fat and clumsy in this movie.

Overall, the one thing that i like is the small dinos which came out in a swamp to attack. Nice :)

Dinoshark

Trace is back to Puerto Vallarta after traveling quite sometime on other places, but he noticed that something weird and fishy is going on. In the meanwhile Carol's team was invited for a water volleyball game at the sea side, after a few consideration, she finally agreed on it.

As Puerto Vallarta is famous for sea sport game, there are a lot of tourist on the beach, and a lot of people was attacked. It was a dinoshark who has been evolved after the iceberg melted 3 years ago. Carol's team was being attacked too. And it's up to Trace and Carol to settled this.

Both of them drive a speedboat in the sea and saw the dinoshark attacking tourist ship. Trace jump on a separate boat, just when the dinoshark flee in the air to attack, Trace throw a dynamite into the dino's mouth. When he thought it was dead, the dinoshark came attack, and this time Carol shot the dinoshark's eye and ended its life.

I always like sea monster thingy film, but this movie is kinda so so... the dino part is quite ok, but the ending is a bit too simple. To kill a dinosaur wo... the production team make it too simple... a bit dissapointed at the end...

Alan Grant & Ellie Sattler spend all their time digging for dinosaurs' sculpture and bones to understand more about them. But one day, the 2 doctors received an invitation from the famous John Hammond to Costa Rica for a marvelous discover.

During their journey over the exile island, they were joined by Ian Malcolm, a rock-&-roll professor & John's niece Alexis "lex" & the nephew Tim. Tim was Alan's huge fans and followed him around everywhere. Everybody was brought into the lab and shown how the lab produce the extinct dinosaurs. The specialists found the sculpture of the ancient mosquitoes which were stuck in the frozen lava. Inside the mosquitoes, there were blood of dinosaurs. By using those blood, specialists can trace back the DNA and process it with one species of frog from South America. The specialists claimed that all dinos were female by controlling their DNA. But Ian said that the frog species can turn their gene when there's only one sex exist in the pond.

A fat worker was receiving under table money to steal the embryoes of the dinos to sell out for outsider. Despite of his greediness, he shut down all the electrical in the jurassic park. This has cause the tour-cars that the guesses were in stop in front of the reptiles. The t-rex came out and attack them. The cars were smash down the hill with Alan, Tim & Lex inside while Ian was knock unconcious aside. In the meanwhile, John was freak off by the sudden malfunction of the electricity supply. Ellie decided to went for the genator to start the electric and they make it.

While relaxing after the hectic moment, the Murphy's sibblings were happily munching foods in the cafeteria and discover 2 small dinos are in. They quickly sneak into the kitchen for hide and luckily to escaped. The kids later on met up with Ellie & Alan and they went back to solve the puzzle and send everything back to function normal. But the electrical fence has been spoiled by the dinos before and the place is not safe anymore.

Together with John and others doctors, all of them flew away safely from jurassic park with the personal helicopter of John.

This is the ever 1st movie i watched with my family !!! I was 11yo by that time and we got the movie ticket on the 1st day~ geng leh :) Luckily we do so, coz i remember on the next few days, the cinema won't allow kids under 18yo to enter anymore :P

Well, 1st time when i saw this huge blockbuster in the cinema, i was speechless and held my daddy's hand when i see the dinos. Sis and I screamed like a freak bitch gaga :P It was a good time back then. After 17 years and re-watch, i still feel very excited when it come to the scene of 2 kids in the kitchen trying to hide away from the dinos~ Steven Spielberg never fails us :)

But if you look at the actors, i see familiar face. Samuel L Jackson, he was taking this small roles at that time with a big spec ~ hahaha. I can still remember Sam Neil, but others, i don't find them in any film~

A Walking With Dinosaurs Special: Sea Monster

Nigel Marven is gonna show us the 7th most dangerous sea of all time during dinosaurs period.

7th:
Name: The Ordovician
When: 450 Million Years Ago

In the Ordovician, the day is only 21 hours long and there is more carbon dioxide than in the twenty-first century, forcing Nigel to don a medical-looking backpack filled with air tanks with a special oxygen mixture. To attract a Sea scorpion, Nigel finds the corpse of a dead Armoe-plated fish washed up on the beach. Because there is no land life, there are no coastal scavengers to eat what the sea spits out.

Before long, Nigel wades into shallow water and the Armoe-plated fish attracts a large Sea scorpion. The Sea Scorpion devours the Armoe-plated fish, before attacking Nigel's foot, cutting it badly. Later on, Nigel attempts to go after a Orthocone, by removing the eye of a dead Trilobite and replacing it with a small video camera. He then uses the inflatable raft to venture out into the deeper waters, where he throws the trilobite/video camera combo overboard. A Orthocone is quickly attracted to it, and Nigel and the cameraman plunge overboard to film the elusive Orthocone.

On the dive, Nigel wears a chain mail suit, so that any marauding Sea scorpion cannot harm him. The Orthocone is more agile in the sea than Nigel, and as Orthocone attempts to swim away, Nigel grabs onto its shell. When the Orthocone starts to dive down into the depths, Nigel swims away to the surface. When Nigel pilots the boat back to shore, he finds a surprise: there are large numbers of Sea scorpion mating in the shallow waters. Nigel manages to make his way safely through the Sea scorpion, but a few clamber onto the inflatable boat and puncture it.

As Nigel walks along the tropical coastlines of Triassic Switzerland, he explains that the reptiles are taking over the surface of the earth from the skies (e.g. Peteinosaurus), to the land (e.g. Coelophysis). But of course, he is here to see the earliest sea reptiles. From the deck of the Ancient Mariner, Nigel and crew watch as a Nothosaurus comes up for air. When he sees one, Nigel dives into the seas, pursuing the elusive sea reptile. Before long, Nigel finds a pair of Nothosaurus. The Nothosaurus circle him, and Nigel has his prod ready to put off any Nothosaurus that comes too close. One of the Nothosaurus prepares to move in closer, and Nigel prods it with the electric prod. The Nothosaurus move off, and Nigel discovers another bizarre sea reptile: a Tanystropheus.

Nigel follows the Tanystropheus, and attempts to get a closer look at it by grabbing onto its tail, impeding its movement. However, the Tanystropheus loses its tail, similar to the modern day leopard gecko. Nigel can hold onto the tail only with difficulty, because it is thrashing around (intended as a predator deterrent). Suddenly the tail is snatched up and then eaten by a Cymbospondylus. The Cymbospondylus begins to circle Nigel with glee, and he explains that its slow movement is designed to deceive prey, and it can move very quickly when it is needed to. After he pokes it with the prod, the Cymbospondylus swims away, and Nigel returns to the relative safety of the Mariner.

5th:
Name: The Devonian
Time: 360 Million Years Ago

On a preliminary dive, another crew member of the Mariner (Mike) films a huge female Dunkleosteus, swimming around the shallow reefs near the Ancient Mariner. The crew springs into action, and Nigel goes fishing for Placoderm. Nigel places a bet with one of the other crew members that the Dunkleosteus will be able to slice through the Placoderm wrapped in the chain mail suit he used in the Ordovician. When the round shark cage is fully assembled, Nigel descends into it. The smell of the dead Placoderm begins to attract a young Stethacanthus.

Eventually, the monstrous Dunkleosteus is sighted, and the enraged fish repeatedly bashes the cage with it's thick head, and looks as though it's about to rip a hole in the cage... [edit] Episode Two: "Into the Jaws of Death" However, the enraged fish only slightly dents the cage. Eventually, Nigel throws the Bothriolepis out of the cage, and the Dunkleosteus slices through the chainmail and the Bothriolepis.

Spying a male Dunkleosteus, the female turns cannibal and kills him. She then regurgitates the indigestible parts of her meal (the armor plating and the chainmail). As Nigel departs for the surface, he explains that the placoderms as a whole have a grim future ahead of them. In another twenty million years, the entire Class of Placoderms will disappear, much to the other Devonian fish's relief.

4th:
Name: The Eocene
Time: 36 Million Years Ago

While walking in the mangrove swamps of Giza, Nigel comes across some mysterious footprints and a mound of fresh dung. Following the footprints, Nigel comes across an Arsinotherium migrating overland. Nigel takes a calculated risk and offers the huge fruit-eater an apple, but apparently this upsets the Arsinotherium and it charges at Nigel. Only by making a break into the thicker forests does Nigel escape from the mammal.

Nigel watches from the forest as the Arsinotherium plunges into the water, and follows it. In the water, Nigel watches as a trio of Dorudon pass by, but there is no sign of the Basilosaurus. The Ancient Mariner sails offshore, where the crew try a tactic to attract whales that has been used with mixed success: record a Basilosaurus call and play it back via a huge speaker that is lowered from the boat. After playing it for a while, an enraged Basilosaurus rams into the boat before diving again. Wasting no time, Nigel suits up and dives. However, the whale could attack from any direction, so Nigel stays close to the hull of the Mariner, using the boat like a shield to ward off the Basilosaurus.

The Basilosaurus is evidently distressed by the calls, and attacks and disables the speaker (which is explained as a territorial response). As the Ancient Mariner sails off forward through time, Nigel explains that the tropical Eocene is a world on the brink of great climatic change. As the Oligocene dawns, Basilosaurus, Arsinotherium, and Dorudon will all vanish, victims of the climatic shifts that ended the Eocene, changing the warm sea into a cold ocean.

3rd:
Name: The Pliocene

After several minutes of heated debate, the crew of the Mariner come to an agreement. Before diving in offshore waters with the adult Megalodon, Nigel will dive in the coastal waters, with the juveniles. Before very long, Nigel finds a small whale (an Odobenocetops) foraging for oysters in the mud, and it is being hunted by an adolescent Megalodon shark. Only by taking cover in the thick underwater foliage does Nigel manage to escape the huge shark. On the next dive (with the adults), Nigel uses the round shark cage that he previously used in the Devonian era against Dunkleosteus.

This time, Nigel hopes to fire a small video camera into the dorsal fin of the shark from the relative safety of the cage. However, Nigel panics, and never fires the camera. Later, he tries again, this time from the surface of the Mariner. The shark is drawn to the boat via liberal amounts of chum. The shark grabs the chum but Nigel is nowhere to be seen. [edit] Episode Three: "To Hell... And Back?" Nigel has been knocked off the boat by the shark and swims back, he managed to land a hit with the shark-camera.

In a few days, they find the camera floating in the sea, and when they load it into the on-board television, they watch the Megalodon in question attack a whale the same size as it. When the crew of the Ancient Mariner head backwards in time, Nigel says that as the Ice Age begins, the whales that Megalodon preyed on migrated to colder waters, where Megalodon could not follow. Megalodon is doomed to extinction, by hunger.

2nd:
Name: The Jurassic
Time: 155 Million Years Ago

Set around England, which was then largely underwater. This is the second most dangerous sea. Hazards include Liopleurodon, the largest carnivorous animal of all time. Nigel spies a school of migrating Leedsichthys. One weaker one is lagging behind the school, and a native Metriorhynchus and a foreign Hybodus shark launch a joint attack.

Using radar, Nigel discovers that a huge Liopleurodon is heading toward the dying individual. Nigel equips his and the cameraman's diving suit with a chemical system that will spray a cloud of deterrent at the huge pliosaur should they get too close. The crew use huge waterproof lights when they descend to the corpse of the Leedsichthys, because it is night. A pair of Liopleurodon are feasting on the carcass, and Nigel starts to move closer toward them. When one turns its head towards him, Nigel panics and ejects the chemical, which works on the huge predator.

Nigel is now entering his final sea mission in "Hell's Aquarium" as he calls it. On the land there's T. Rex, but even the most famous land predator of time all can't compare to what's in the water. After viewing a colony of Hesperornis on the coastline, Nigel and another member of the Mariner pause for a second to view a huge underwater bloodbath.

As far as Nigel (using a periscope) can figure out, an elderly Hesperornis was killed, and the resulting carnage has attracted many sea animals, such as Squalicorax, Xiphactinus and Halisaurus. Nigel explains that this sea is far too dangerous to go diving in; huge carnivores like Xiphactinus and Tylosaurus are far too dangerous. Instead, the crew of the Ancient Mariner have rigged an ROV to dive for them, while they watch from the safety of the boat. Sending it down, the crew finds a small pod of Elasmosaurus riding their wake like 21st century dolphins. They might seem graceful, but a huge pod of long-necked, jagged-toothed meat eaters, hungry or not, isn't a good sign, so it's time to keep going before it gets ugly.

In the morning, after managing to domesticate a Pteranodon, Nigel discovers that they have hit a dead Archelon, which was mauled by some other predator before being hit by the boat. Having done the same thing with present-day leatherback turtles, Nigel forgoes his personal safety to track down an Archelon and ride it. He and the cameraman ride off in the small inflatable raft that they had used previously in the Ordovician.

Before long, Nigel finds his quarry, and dives, grabbing onto the huge turtle's shell before noticing the imminent danger: a Xiphactinus circling the Archelon. Nigel quickly makes his escape back up to the raft, but disaster strikes. A family pod of Tylosaurus attack the raft, completely overturning it, plunging the crew into the sea. Fortunately for Nigel, the Tylosaurus seem more interested in the boat than the humans, and they quickly escape back to the Mariner. During the credits, the radar onboard picks up a colossal mob of adult Elasmosaurus moving in from all sides, preparing to attack the ship....

What can i say? I was breathless. Really learn a lot of dinosaurs... marine dino is so much more interesting than those on ground, dont u think so?
