 Story:

Liang, Bao & Ren worked hard to change the old terms in school. Bao always thought that Liang is her bf, but actually Liang just treated her as best friend. However, Liang felt that he has stronger feeling for Ren, but Ren wanted to become Bao's bf instead.

When they are in college, they fight for the students' right. Bao & Ren are couple, but Ren has fall for another rich girl which broke Bao's heart. During a truth or dare game, Ren was asked to kiss Liang. Liang rejected but Ren still kiss him, this hurt Liang's heart too. Angrily, Liang went away and he finally told Bao that he is a homosexual and he love Ren.

Coming out to work, Bao work in Ren's in law business. Both Bao & Ren still having their relationship secretly. During Loong's wedding, Bao finally take the courage to contact Liang. Liang has a relationship with a married guy but in the end he decided to break off with him. Bao wanna left Taiwan with Ren but Ren refused. Having a twins in her body, Bao try to defeat the cancer in her vagina but failed.

Few years later, Liang alone taking care of the twins and become their father.

L² Comment:

This is a good GLBT movie, taiwan always good at producing this kind of film. The whole storyline is good, but i dont like the ending coz its too sad :( And there is no gay sex scene as well which is a sad sad thing. But if you are interested to see Joseph Chang's nice ass, this is the movie you must watch~

Sound of Colors 地下鐵

Story:

Ming is an owner of "Love shop" which match up couples, but he has been cheating his customer. In one incident, Yue help him out by pretending as Fiona. Yue is blind and his father ask Ming to help her out on matching a guy. Ming one day get blind too and luckily Yue was there to help him out and teach him the skills of being a blind person. As time goes by, both of them fall in love and decided to get together but Ming's blindness recover. Yue feel like she's a burden for Ming and decided to leave him. Ming and Yue play a faith game, if they manage to meet each other in the subway train with Ming's eyes close then they will get together. In the end, both of them were take good care by faith and be together.

In another hand, Cheng and Ling are both in Taiwan. They also fill up their love story through the subway train.

L² Comment:

This movie are divided into 2 parts, one Hong Kong and one Taiwan. For me, i prefer the Hong Kong part which was acted by Tony Leung and Miriam Yeung. Their story is more touching yet memorable compare to another part from Taiwan.

Story:

The story begins after the East Bureau was defeated by Huai and his gang, the leader of West Bureau Yu took over the job and try to vanish Huai's gang. Yu was actually an eunuch who managed to be the blue eyes boys of the emperor's concubine.

Huai discover someone who portrait him to save a lot of people including Rong who ran out from the palace after discover she is pregnant. Rong was running away from the capture of the West Bureau and was save by a guy who call himself as Huai. Apparently, this is Qiu who dress up like a guy and try to attract Huai's attention and force him to meet her. Qiu and Huai was actually having a love affair when they met in Dragon Inn few years back.

At the dragon Inn, a gang of people appear, one of them (Dao) look like Yu. Tang and the tribal princess is aiming to get the ultimate treasure in the dessert. At the same time, Qiu bring along Rong to hide underneath the Dragon Inn and have a fight with the gang. Qiu was hurt by Tang's weapon and finally Huai appear to see her. Huai requested Rong to help him to act to distract Qiu and let her go off but they failed.Finally they come to a deal to trick over the West Bureau who's coming to attack soon. Dao pretend to be Yu and order the West Bureau to go further away from the Dragon Inn. But Yu was back and the war finally begin. Huai challenged Yu to fought with him in the sandstorm.

The sandstorm has exposed the palace under the dessert. The gang went into there and discovered Yu & Huai fainted in there. After both of them awake, all of them agree to get all the treasure out after Yu defeat Tang. Qiu, Tribal Princess, Dao & Rong moved the treasure out but Rong suddenly use a knife to stab Qiu and ran back inside the palace. The rest were shocked that Rong know martial arts but were unable to ran back in because Rong has set traps to block their way. They moved the treasure up the roof of the palace and try to save Huai & Tang from above.
Another sandstorm is coming bu after a harsh fight, Yu & Rong was defeated while Huai feel unconscious.

When Huai woke up, Qiu was gone. Huai ride along a horse and try to win Qiu back again.

Hmmm, how would i comment on this? Of course i love Tsui Hark's movie and Jet Li, but this is not really as good as i thought, or maybe i have too high expectation on it? The whole movie is related to the one which have been shoot earlier on at 1992 "New Dragon Inn". This is the part which make me loss my direction of the movie...

Beside the storyline, the actors & actresses are not bad especially Yu Chun Li in this movie. she look so marvelous in this movie, and her character martial's is the best among the rest.

Secret 不能说的秘密

Story:

Ye Xianglun, a music student majoring in piano, transfers to Tamkang(Danjiang)Secondary School. It is a school famous for musically talented students, especially for those who play piano. On the first day of school, as he wanders through the piano building, he hears a mysterious melody being played that leads him to Lu Xiaoyu, another piano major. When he asks her about the song she was playing, she tells him that it is a secret that cannot be told. The two develop a relationship that is clouded in mystery. When Xianglun tells Xiaoyu of the demolition of the piano building on graduation day, she teaches him the song that he heard on the first day of school.

However, when a mis-passed note leads to Xianglun's accidental kissing of another girl, Xiaoyu disappears for five months, only to return on graduation day and mysteriously disappear again. Xianglun asks around and discovers that Xiaoyu was actually a student from the class of 1979, who graduated 20 years ago. His father tells him the story of Xiaoyu, who claimed she time traveled to the present via a piece called "Secret" that she played on an old piano in the piano building. She had fallen in love with Xianglun, but the only barrier is that, in the present, the first person she sees on each trip is the only person that can see her.

When Xiaoyu was misled that Xianglun liked another girl, she returned to her time, 1979 for five months. During her absence, her story spread and everyone believed that she was crazy. Remembering that the piano room would be destroyed on graduation day of 1999, she tried time traveling to see Xianglun one last time, but was mislead once again that he liked another girl. Xiaoyu retreats back to her own time and fainted half way through due to an asthma attack, while trying to communicate with Xianglun via writing on a desk with white out.

After finally learning of Xiaoyu's story, Xianglun realizes that the piece that she taught him was "Secret", which had the power to take the pianist forward or backward in time depending on the tempo at which it is played. He rushes off to the piano room, which is ready to be torn down. As the demolition begins, Xianglun begins "Secret" from memory, recalling something Xiaoyu told him while teaching him the piece: "I always play it that fast when I go back". Just before the piano room is completely destroyed, Xianglun travels back to 1979. He sees Xiaoyu, and she sees him and smiles, but doesn't seem to know him. The last scene is when the 1979 Tamkang (Danjiang) Secondary School graduation picture is taken, in which Xianglun and Xiaoyu are present. This suggest that due to the demolition of both the piano and its old room, Xianglun stays forever in the past living a normal life with his love Xiaoyu.

L² Comment:

Well, I dont really expect too much from this film. Beside winning the best original film song in the 44th Golden Horse Award, it also won the best effect in the visual at the awards. Directed and co-write by Jay Chou, its not a bad start for him. Well, I do hope to see more production from him soon, but of course, no more acting as a student, coz he's too old for that. HAHA
