 Story:

In 1947, "toons" act out theatrical cartoon shorts as with live-action films; they regularly interact with real people and animals and reside in Toontown, an animated portion of Los Angeles. Private detective Eddie Valiant and his brother, Teddy, once worked closely with the toons on several famous cases, but after Teddy was killed by a toon, Eddie lapsed into alcoholism and vowed never to work for toons again. One day, R.K. Maroon, head of Maroon Cartoon Studios, is concerned about the recent poor acting performances of one of his biggest stars, Roger Rabbit. Maroon hires Valiant to investigate rumors about Roger's voluptuous toon wife Jessica being romantically involved with businessman and gadgets inventor, Marvin Acme, owner of both Acme Corporation and Toontown. After watching Jessica perform at the underground Ink & Paint Club, Valiant secretly takes photographs of her and Acme playing patty-cake in her dressing room, which he shows to Roger. Maroon suggests to Roger that he should leave Jessica, but a drunken Roger refuses and flees.

The next morning, Acme is discovered dead at his factory by the Los Angeles Police Department with a safe dropped on his head, and evidence points to Roger being responsible. While investigating, Valiant meets Judge Doom, Toontown's Superior Court judge, who has created a substance capable of killing a toon: a toxic chemical combination of turpentine, acetone, and benzene known as "The Dip". Valiant runs into Roger's toon co-star, Baby Herman, who believes Roger is innocent and that Acme's missing will, which will give the toons ownership of Toontown, may be the key to his murder. He then finds Roger hiding in his office, who begs him to help exonerate him. Valiant reluctantly hides Roger in a local bar where his ex-girlfriend, Dolores, works. Later, Jessica approaches Valiant and says that Maroon had forced her to pose for the photographs so that he could blackmail Acme.

Doom and his toon-weasel henchmen discover Roger, but he and Valiant escape with Benny, an anthropomorphic toon cab. They flee to a theater, where Valiant tells Roger about Teddy's death. As they leave with Dolores, Valiant sees a newsreel detailing the sale of Maroon Cartoons to Cloverleaf, a mysterious corporation that bought the city's trolley network shortly before Acme's murder. Valiant goes to the studio to confront Maroon, leaving Roger to guard outside, but Jessica knocks him out and puts him in the trunk. Maroon tells Valiant that he blackmailed Acme into selling his company so that he could then sell the studio, but is killed before he can explain the consequences of the missing will. Valiant spots Jessica fleeing the scene and, assuming she is the culprit, follows her into Toontown. Jessica reveals that Doom killed Acme and Maroon and that the former had given her his will for safe-keeping, but she discovered that the will was blank. She and Valiant are then captured by Doom and the weasels.

At the Acme factory, Doom reveals his plot to destroy Toontown with a giant machine loaded with Dip to build a freeway, the only way past Toontown since Cloverleaf (which Doom owns) has bought out Los Angeles' tram system. Roger unsuccessfully attempts to save Jessica, and the couple is tied onto a hook in front of the machine's hose. Valiant then performs a comedic vaudeville act, causing the weasels to die of laughter; Valiant kicks their leader, Smart Ass, into the machine's Dip vat. Valiant then fights Doom, who is eventually flattened by a steamroller, but survives. Eddie is shocked when Doom reveals that he is a toon in disguise—the same toon who killed Teddy. Valiant uses a toon mallet with a spring-loaded boxing glove and fires it at a switch that causes the machine to empty its Dip onto Doom, killing him. The empty machine crashes through the wall into Toontown, where it is destroyed by a train. Numerous toons run in to regard Doom's remains, and Roger discovers that he inadvertently wrote his love letter for Jessica on Acme's will, which was written in disappearing-reappearing ink. Roger then shocks Valiant with a joy buzzer, and Valiant gives him a kiss, having regained his sense of humor. Valiant happily enters Toontown with Dolores, and Roger with Jessica, followed by the other toons.

Its been a long time since i last watched this movie :) Me and my cousins love this movie very much!!! During our childhood when all of us is fooling around and making noises, my aunt will definitely played this movie and all of us will sit silently in front of the TV while the adults happily play their mahjong without need to worry what kind of troubles/mess we will do...

Its very interesting to watch a movie with real human & anime characters in it... The actor himself will have to have very good imagination when he is acting on it. Of coz the production team will have to allocate the animation characters in it during the post time to match with the actors' scene as well... This movie has plenty of famous cartoon characters appeared in it as well such as Mickey Mouse, Bug Bunny, Tweety Birds, Donald Ducks, all of them doing their famous scene/action in this. Love Love Love this movie so much, it is so nice I got the chance to rewatch this movie after so many years :)

 Story:

Alison is a cheerleader at Lindo Valley who is struggling with feelings of inadequacy and anxiety. She has a dream in which she is performing a cheerleading routine to an empty stadium; suddenly, her arms are slashed open. She awakens only to realize she had been dreaming. With her fellow cheerleaders, boyfriend, Brent, and friend Timmy, Alison heads to a remote cheerleader camp called Camp Hurrah to compete in a contest, led by the icy Miss Tipton.

At the camp, Alison rooms with Cory, the team mascot who is often ridiculed by the cheerleaders. The girls go to the river where they sunbathe, and are spied on by Tim and the local Sheriff Poucher, who get interrupted by Pop, the camp handyman. The next morning, Alison finds fellow cheerleader Suzy's body in her cabin, her wrists slashed in an apparent suicide.

The next day, Alison goes into the kitchen walk-in freezer to get a soda, and finds Suzy's corpse on a shelf. She calls the police, and Miss Tipton explains to Sheriff Poucher that she didn't want to report Suzy's death until the cheer program had finished that weekend. The Sheriff goes with Miss Tipton to her room, and it is revealed the two are lovers. At an assembly the next morning, Miss Tipton plays a video of cheer performances for the students, only to find that Timmy had replaced it with a sex tape of her and the sheriff.

Later, Alison expresses concern over Brent's flirting with the other girls, specifically Pam— Alison has a nightmare in which she cheers along as Brent has sex with her. At the river the next day, Brent and Pam leave to have sex. When Pam declines, he leaves her in the woods, and she is impaled through the skull with a pair of garden shears by an unseen assailant. That evening, Alison has a dream in which she kills Pam.

The next day at the competition, Alison worries to herself that she may have hurt Pam in a fit of rage and not remember it; she asks Cory what she had done the night before, and Cory tells her she'd been sleeping. The team has to come up with an alternative routine for the Queen's Competition due to Pam's absence. During the announcement of the winner, Theresa leaves to search for Pam, while Bonnie wins the title of cheerleading queen. Cory and Brent follow separately into the woods to look for Pam and Theresa, and Miss Lipton sends Pop to search for her as well. Theresa finds Pam's body in the woods, and is chased down a dirt road by a van which slams her body against a tree. Meanwhile, Miss Lipton stumbles drunkenly into the woods, where she is stabbed in the back.

Timmy goes outside to urinate, and finds Theresa's corpse leaning against a tree. Back at the camp, Alison is approached by Miss Tipton, who dies in front of her. Brent announces at the party that Theresa has been found murdered, causing the cheerleaders to flee the party in a panic. Timmy, Brent, Bonnie, Cory, and Alison are the only remaining students left. When their van doesn't start, they decide to leave on foot.

The four hear gunshots in the woods, causing them to run separate directions; Alison returns to the van followed by Brent, Bonnie, and Cory, who claims someone attacked her in the woods. Brent retrieves Timmy's video camera in the woods. On the video tape, they watch Timmy be impaled by an axe. The four set a booby trap using a bear trap in the tool shed, which inadvertently kills the Sheriff. They then encounter Pop, armed with a shotgun; Cory, believing Pop to be the killer, shoots him to death.

Back at the camp, Cory and Bonnie go to call the police, leaving Brent alone with Alison. He attempts to have sex with her, but she resists. Cory stumbles in, saying she can't find Bonnie; Brent goes to look for her, and Cory tells Alison she thinks Brent may be the killer. Armed with a handgun, Cory sends Alison to shoot Brent. She sees Brent standing over Bonnie's dead body, and shoots him to death. When the police arrive, they charge a distraught Allison with the murders. In the ambulance, Alison insists she only killed Brent, but the detective says that Cory blamed all the murders on her. Alison screams as she is taken away, while Cory, dressed in a cheerleading uniform, cheers in front of the camp at dawn.

This movie is too predictable and kinda boring in certain parts. I expect these bunch of cheerleaders will be screaming queens in horror film like this, but too bad, nothing at all...

Child's Play

 Story:

Charles Lee Ray, a voodoo-practicing serial killer known as the "Lakeshore Strangler", is on the run from Chicago police after escaping custody. After detective Mike Norris shoots him down in a toy store, Charles transfers his soul via a voodoo ritual into a "Good-Guy" doll, which then causes the store to explode. Detective Norris finds Charles Lee Ray's body next to the doll, thinking he has killed him.

Now named Chucky, the killer doll is purchased from an alleyway hobo by single mother Karen Barclay as a birthday gift for her six-year-old son, Andy. While babysitting Andy that night, Karen's co-worker, Maggie Peterson, hears a news story about Eddie Caputo, an associate of Charles Lee Ray who abandoned him the night he was shot. Maggie is later killed when she is hit in the head with a hammer, thus backing through a window falling several stories to her death. Detective Norris arrives at the scene of the crime initially suspecting Andy of the murder, and Karen furiously tells him and the police to leave.

Andy skips school the next morning (apparently on Chucky's orders) and travels with Chucky to downtown Chicago. Once there, Chucky leaves Andy and enters an abandoned home, the hideout of his former associate, Eddie Caputo. While Eddie is asleep, Chucky turns on the gas stove, but blows out the pilot light. Eddie awakens and searches the house, causing it to explode when he fires his revolver in the kitchen, igniting the gas. After Andy is again suspected of the murder, he is placed in a mental hospital, overseen by Dr. Ardmore.

That night, Karen discovers Andy was telling the truth when she realizes Chucky's batteries were never placed inside, meaning Chucky has been functioning despite lack of batteries. When inspecting Chucky, Chucky comes alive, bites her and escapes; Detective Norris finally agrees to help after Chucky almost kills him in his car. Chucky goes to Dr. John, a witch doctor and Charles Lee Ray's former voodoo teacher. When asked why he bled after being injured, Dr. John reveals to Chucky that the longer his soul remains trapped within the doll, the more human he becomes. In order to escape the doll's body, Chucky must possess the first person to whom he told about his possession, which is Andy. When Dr. John rejects Chucky's plea for help, Chucky fatally wounds Dr. John using his own voodoo doll and stabs him, leaving him for dead. Chucky escapes just before Karen and Detective Norris arrive on the scene. Before dying, Dr. John tells the pair that although Chucky is a doll, his heart is fully human and vulnerable to fatal injury.

At the mental hospital, Chucky steals the key to Andy's cell, but discovers Andy has escaped. Chucky violently electrocutes Dr. Ardmore, then follows Andy home and knocks him unconscious with a wooden baseball bat. As Chucky begins possessing Andy, Karen and Detective Norris arrive and stop him. Chucky slashes Mike, then goes after Karen and Andy. The pair trap Chucky in the fireplace and burn him. Thinking Chucky is dead, Karen and Andy leave the room to help Mike, but Chucky follows them and attempts to kill them. Chucky is again thought to be killed when Karen shoots Chucky, severing an arm, a leg, and his head. Jack Santos, Mike's partner, arrives at the apartment, and disbelieves the trio's story. Chucky's body then bursts through a ventilation duct and tries to strangle Jack. Karen, remembering Dr. John's last words, tells Mike to aim and shoot for Chucky's heart. After Mike kills Chucky, they go to the hospital. Karen turns off the bedroom's lights and Andy looks back at Chucky before closing the door as the screen fades out.

This classic bad-ass-toy-slashers movie is never to be missed... Chucky has become so famous during that time, the sequel movies came out one by one... i bet the adults were freak out that time, they will stop buying their kids any big toys that look like chucky lol~ HEY, I'M CHUCKY, U WANNA PLAY?!?

High Spirits

 Story: 

Peter Plunkett, the owner of a dilapidated Irish castle which has been converted to a bed and breakfast supplying the only employment for the local villagers. Owing money to an American businessman, Plunkett has the idea to turn the castle into "The most haunted castle in Europe" for the tourist trade. He and his wacky staff of Irish characters set about creating ghost costumes and effects for their first group of American lodgers.

At first annoyed by the inept hauntings, the American guests soon get what they paid for as the genuine ghosts of Castle Plunkett take umbrage with being cheaply exploited and stage a full scale paranormal event.

Two of the castle's ghosts, Mary Plunkett and Martin Brogan become romantically entangled with Guttenberg and D'Angelo's characters. This romantic twist is the focus of most of the plot.

One of my favorite black comedy + romance movie during my very very young time. Me and my sister are a real big fans of this movie, we will repeatedly watching it again and again in one day~ we can even memorize most of the dialogue of this movie, just imagine how good this movie is~ a great movie to share with all of ya :) 

Slugs: The Movie (Slugs, Muerte Viscosa)

 Story:

A rural town becomes prey to a strain of black slugs spawned from toxic waste dumping. It is up to the local health inspector to stop them. People are dying mysteriously and gruesomely. Only health worker Mike Brady has a possible solution, but his theory of killer slugs is laughed at by the authorities. Only when the body count begins to rise and a slug expert begins snooping around does it begin to appear as though Mike might be right.

L² Comment:

Love this old horror movie in the 80s, but the ending part is not good. The whole things started quite well, the screaming, the nudity, the sex... yeah~ but towards the end i feel dissapointed. 5 min before the end, the climax is still not there yet, and the killing of the monster part is not done... and suddenly kaboom, they kill the monsters.... lolz~ well, watch it, i think its worth a watch for the horror fans~

Critters 2: The Main Course

 Story:

 The film starts out in space on a desolate planet where human Charlie McFadden and the shapeshifting bounty hunters Ug and Lee are searching for a vicious, worm-like creature. After successfully killing the beast, they depart the planet. Soon afterwards, they receive a new assignment by Zanti, head of the High Council. He tells them that Crites (Critters or Krites) are still on earth and must be destroyed. With that, they set a course for earth. Noticing Charlie brooding, Ug inquires what's wrong. Charlie states his reluctance to going back after two years and asks, concerned, whether they would leave him there. Ug reassures him they had no such intentions.

Back on earth, Brad Brown is visiting his grandmother in Grover's Bend and word gets around the town fast implying he became well known after the events of the first film. Shortly after the bounty hunters arrive the Crites begin terrorizing the town. They begin to grow in large numbers. Lee, Ug's partner, is killed and devoured by the Critters, causing Ug to slip into a deep depression and revert back to his alien form. The remaining people of the town devise a plot.

They lead the Critters to a burger shop in an attempt to blow them up but fail. The Crites then come together into a large ball and begin heading to the church. The Crites then devour a man dressed as the Easter Bunny. Just before they reach the church, Charlie flies directly into them with Ug's spaceship, seemingly destroying the Critters and sacrificing himself. Ug then takes on Charlie's facial feature in honor of his bravery. It is later revealed the next day as Bradly begins to depart that Charlie survived by using a parachute and stays on earth, becoming sheriff of the town. Ug departs in a new spacecraft, still wearing the guise of Charlie.

This is as good as the first movie of critters, there are more critters this time and they can even roll as a big ball which i think is so cool :) And the human being who was rolled over by them become skeleton and no meat was left behind, haha. One of the bounty hunter who can transfer is nice, especially when it transfer into a playboy-hot mate. Just imagine both bounty hunter have sex, lol~ :)
