Story:
The Heraklion King of Crete, Hyperion, declares war on Olympus after the Gods fail to answer his prayers to save his family from illness, and starts searching for the Epirus Bow, a powerful weapon created by the God of War Ares, which he intends to use to release the Titans from Mount Tartarus and destroy the gods.

Hyperion attacks several holy places in search of the Epirus Bow, and after kidnapping a virgin oracle priestess called Phaedra to help him, advances towards a nearby village, where the young Theseus lives with his mother. Theseus' mother conceived him after being raped, and he is thus considered a bastard and prevented from evacuating the village with its other inhabitants by the soldier Lysander. Theseus defeats him in combat, which he was taught by an old man, and Lysander is discharged by his commanding officer. Infuriated, he offers his services to Hyperion.

The old man is actually Zeus in disguise. He meets with Ares, Poseidon, Athena , Apollo and Heracles, and tells them that they can't directly interfere with the conflict until the Titans are released from Tartarus. Meanwhile, Theseus returns to the village only to discover that Hyperion and his army have already attacked. Hyperion murders Theseus' mother in front of him and sends him to work as a slave in the mines, where Theseus befriends another prisoner, the thief Stavros.

Phaedra has a vision of Theseus fighting Hyperion after accidentally touching him and tells Stavros to make sure Theseus is always by his side. She and the other captured oracles later start a riot, in which she, Theseus, and Stravros escape alongside other slaves. Theseus decides to go after Hyperion and the others follow him. They attack a boat filled with Hyperion's men, but are overpowered. They are however rescued when Poseidon causes a tidal wave which knocks Hyperion's men out. On their way out, Phaedra has a vision that Theseus needs to return to his village and bury his mother, which he does.

In the process, he finds the Epirus Bow, but is attacked by Hyperion's soldier, the Minotaur while the others are attacked by soldiers. The Minotaur was warned of Theseus' presence by Lysander. Theseus finally defeats the Minotaur and rescues his allies using the Epirus Bow, before collapsing due to being poisoned by the Minotaur. Phaedra takes him to her house, where she cures him and they have sex, which causes her to lose her premonitory powers.

The group returns to Phaedra's temple, only to discover that it is filled with Hyperion's soldiers. They capture the group and steal the Epirus Bow, forcing Ares to intervene and save them. Athena comes from Olympus as well. Zeus sees this as treachery, and is ready to kill Athena, but he spares her life. Ares, however, does not back down, and says that he had to do what he did. An infuriated Zeus uses a fire chain to knock Ares into the marble wall to his presumed death. Athena is able to provide horses for the group which they use to ride to Mount Tartarus which is under attack by Hyperion's forces. Hyperion releases the Titans using the Epirus Bow, and they are confronted by the Gods, while Theseus and his allies join forces with the Athenian army present.

Theseus enters the temple and fights Hyperion. He is stabbed multiple times, but is able to kill Hyperion by stabbing him in the neck before dying. Meanwhile, the Gods are overpowered by the Titans, who kill Stavros, Apollo, Athena, Heracles and Poseidon. Before Zeus returns to Mount Olympus with his dead daughter, he collapses the temple upon the Titans, killing them as well as most of Hyperion's forces, while the rest are crushed by the collapsing temple. Two beams are seen ascending to Olympus which are Zeus carrying his daughter and Poseidon. Theseus also ascends to the skies as a beam.

Theseus is welcomed into Mount Olympus by the Gods for his sacrifice, and is awarded with a son from his night with Phaedra. The boy inherits his mother's premonitions and is trained by the old man in mastering them after discovering that, in the future, there will be a war between the Gods and the Titans, with Theseus leading the Gods in battle on Mount Olympus.

This would be a good movie with a good storyline and good action, if you're just there for the movie. But if you knows a bit of the Greek Myth/Gods, this will be sucks man~ compare to Clash of The Titans, this is so horrible~

But back to the movie, i'm very glad a non-caucasian become the director. Freida Pinto first try to be so sexy, nice... And of course, Henry Cavill is hot as well. Overall this is a quite good if you just enjoy the action & thingy~ :)

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Released Year: 2011
Directed by Rupert Wyatt

Casted by:
James Franco as Will Rodman
Andy Serkis as Caesar
John Lithgow as Charles Rodman
Freida Pinto as Caroline Aranha
Tom Felton as Dodge Landon
David Oyelowo as Steven Jacobs
Brian Cox as John Landon
Story:
Will Rodman is a San Francisco scientist who has been trying to develop a cure for Alzheimer's disease by testing a genetically engineered retrovirus on chimpanzees. The virus mutates the chimpanzees, giving them a human level of intelligence. One of his test subjects, a female chimpanzee named Bright Eyes, goes on a rampage because she believes her baby, to whom she secretly gave birth, is threatened. She is killed after disrupting a board meeting. Will's boss Steven Jacobs orders subordinate Robert Franklin to put all the test chimpanzees down, but Franklin cannot bring himself to kill the chimpanzee's baby, and instead gives him to Will, who names him Caesar and raises him in his house. Caesar has inherited his mother's high intelligence, and learns quickly.

Three years later, Will gives a sample of his cure to his father, Charles, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. At first, his father improves but, five years later, his body's immune system fights off the virus and his dementia returns. In his dementia, Charles gets into his neighbor's car and damages it, angering the neighbor. As he threatens Charles and pushes him down, the onlooking Caesar attacks him. After the incident, Caesar is forced to leave Will's house and is held in a San Bruno primate facility run by John Landon. The apes are treated cruelly by Landon's son Dodge who works as a guard there. Caesar is initially treated poorly by both the staff and the other apes. When Dodge brings his friends into the facility, one of them gets too close to Caesar's cage and is grabbed by Caesar, who steals his pocket knife, later using it to escape his cell. Caesar then frees a gorilla named Buck and, with his help, gains dominance over the other apes.

Meanwhile, Will creates a more powerful form of the virus to further treat Charles and new tests on chimpanzees begin. Testing on a bonobo named Koba reveals that it strengthens the intelligence of the apes even further. However, it is fatal to humans, unbeknownst to the scientists. Charles declines Will's offer to treat him again and dies in his sleep. Franklin is exposed to the new virus and begins sneezing out blood. He accidentally sneezes on Will's neighbor, and is later found dead in his apartment. Will attempts to warn Jacobs against further testing, but when Jacobs plans to continue it, Will quits his job.

Caesar eventually escapes from the primate facility in which he was badly treated and travels to Will's house, where he steals canisters of the new virus and releases it throughout the cage area, enhancing the intelligence of his fellow apes. He beats Dodge down and, after showing his first capability of speech by shouting "No!" at him, fatally electrocutes him by spraying him with a hose while his stun stick is activated. The apes at the facility escape into the city, releasing the remaining apes from Will's former place of work and from San Francisco Zoo.

The apes then force their way past a police blockade of the Golden Gate Bridge meant to stop them from crossing. Jacobs arrives in a helicopter and one of his crewmen begins gunning down apes. Buck sacrifices himself to take down the helicopter, which crashes on the bridge, killing everyone inside except Jacobs. He begs for help, but his helicopter is pushed down into the bay below by Koba. The apes make it into the Muir Woods National Monument forest. Will arrives at the forest and is attacked by Koba, but Caesar stops him from harming Will. Will warns Caesar that humans are strong, but tells him that he can protect him if he returns home. Caesar, now capable of speech, tells him that "Caesar is home" in the redwood forest. Meanwhile, Will's neighbor has become infected with the virus and touches off a global pandemic among humans when he boards an airplane flight.

Wow wow wow!!! Love this movie so much :) I never watch the original 5 movies before, but this is really great. The emotion & feeling between ape & its master is really touching, nowadays those film which is good in playing the audiences' emotion is not much and this film really make it. A bit sad is Freida Pinto does not really have a chance to show us how good she is~
